Is El Paso, Elsewhere 2 basically Max Payne?
It is better described as a spiritual relative than a copy. Both use a third-person camera, acrobatic gunplay and slow motion to make ordinary firefights feel choreographed. The comparison is especially understandable because the original El Paso, Elsewhere is explicitly presented as Max Payne-inspired.
The underlying priorities are different. In Max Payne 3, Bullet Time slows the exchange of bullets so you can line up shots, manage threats and commit to a Shootdodge through danger.
