Short answer: The European EGO Power+ LM2135E-SP is a large, 52cm, self-propelled cordless mower kit supplied with a 7.5Ah battery and rapid charger. What the LM2135E-SP actually is
The suffix matters. EGO Power+ Europe lists the LM2135E-SP as a complete 52cm self-propelled mower kit, not merely a bare mower body. The European package includes the BA4200T 7.5Ah battery and CH5500E rapid charger. It is a 56V model with a brushless motor and rear-wheel drive, according to EGO UK’s listing.
Do not assume this is the same product as the North American LM2135SP. Battery naming, charger compatibility, safety certification and package contents can vary by region. Check that the model number includes the European “E” suffix and that the retailer explicitly lists the BA4200T and CH5500E before ordering.

The 70L collector reduces emptying frequency compared with a smaller bag, particularly when the grass is growing quickly. It also fills with a substantial volume of clippings, so a full bag adds weight when you remove it. EGO’s published specifications establish the capacity, not how easy the bag is to detach or carry; those are worth checking in person.

Why 52cm changes the job
A 52cm deck covers more ground per pass than a 42cm or 47cm mower. On an open, rectangular lawn that can shorten mowing time and reduce the number of turns. The trade-off is physical size: a wider machine needs a wider route through gates, around sheds and between planting beds. Measure the narrowest access point, not just the lawn itself.
The UK listing gives seven cut-height positions from 25mm to 90mm. The lower end suits a short formal cut when conditions allow; the upper settings are useful for longer grass, recovery after dry weather and avoiding excessive removal in one pass. EGO UK’s listing identifies the range and number of positions, but not the exact height represented by each individual notch. Use the mower’s scale and manual rather than guessing an intermediate setting.

EGO describes the LM2135E-SP as supporting collection and mulching. The standard kit includes the 70L collector; EGO separately names the ABP2100D-E mulching kit as an accessory. Treat that accessory as an extra purchase unless your retailer explicitly includes it. A listing that says “mulching capable” does not prove that the specialist mulching parts are in the box.
The separate LM2130E-SP product page provides platform context for EGO’s Select Cut interchangeable multi-blade system and specialist mulching and bagging blades. That page is for the LM2130E-SP, not proof that every blade or accessory is included with the LM2135E-SP. Confirm compatibility and included hardware for the exact European model before buying a spare blade or mulching kit.

Self-propelled drive: what the specifications tell you
Rear-wheel drive and automatic variable speed are the key usability features. Variable speed lets the mower move at a pace that better matches walking speed, grass density or a slope; rear-wheel drive can provide traction while climbing. These features can reduce the effort of pushing a heavy 52cm mower, but they do not make the machine weightless or eliminate steering, turning and lifting effort.
Acceleration smoothness, minimum speed, traction on wet ground, turning radius and whether the drive remains engaged while reversing are not established by the cited specifications. Ask a retailer for a demonstration and check these points:

- Does the drive engage progressively, without a lurch?
- Can you release drive quickly at the end of a row?
- Is the handle comfortable at your normal walking height?
- Can you turn the mower without fighting the powered wheels?
On a slope, keep both hands on the handle, follow the operating instructions and avoid conditions the manual prohibits. The product page’s self-propelled description is not a substitute for the safety procedures in EGO’s LM2135E-SP manual and safety sheet.
Battery coverage and charging: two different kinds of evidence
EGO Power+ Europe states that the 7.5Ah battery can cut up to 1,000m² on a single charge and that the rapid charger can recharge it in 60 minutes. Those are manufacturer claims published on the current European product page accessed 13 October 2026. They are not guaranteed results for every lawn.
Oz Tool Talk’s 2021 video description reports 50 minutes with the 7.5Ah battery. That is a reviewer-reported runtime, not a controlled laboratory result in that report. It also measures elapsed operating time rather than area cut, so it cannot be converted directly into a promise of 1,000m².

Why your result can be lower or higher
Runtime changes with grass height and moisture, cutting-height choice, blade sharpness, terrain, travel speed, how often the drive motor is engaged and how much time is spent stopping or manoeuvring. A small, flat, regularly mown lawn may approach a manufacturer’s area estimate; long wet grass or a sloping lawn can consume more energy. Consider the 1,000m² figure a planning ceiling, not a measurement for your property.
When a second battery makes sense
The kit already includes a BA4200T. A spare battery is relevant if you routinely mow an area near the upper end of the claim, cannot wait for a recharge, or use other EGO 56V tools. It is unnecessary for many smaller lawns that can be completed in one session. Confirm the cost, regional availability and charger requirements for any additional battery before treating it as part of the mower purchase.
Is a 52cm deck the right size?
EGO’s current mower range includes 42cm, 47cm, 50cm, 52cm and 55cm deck options. Deck width alone does not determine the best choice. Match it to the route from storage to lawn, the number of obstacles and your tolerance for lifting and manoeuvring.

What ownership involves beyond the headline specifications
Before purchase
- Measure access. Record the narrowest gate, path, shed door and storage bay. Include the handle and collector, not only the cutting deck.
- Map the lawn. Estimate the area actually mown and identify slopes, wet sections, roots and tight corners.
- Verify the package. Require the listing to name LM2135E-SP, BA4200T and CH5500E. Treat the ABP2100D-E as optional unless stated otherwise.
- Check the local support route. EGO provides a stockist route, but retailer stock, warranty handling and service arrangements vary by country.
- Read the exact manual. EGO lists an LM2135E-SP manual and safety sheet. Review assembly, blade, charging, storage and slope instructions before use.
At delivery
Match the model and serial information on the carton and mower to the invoice. Confirm that the battery and charger are present, inspect the collector and deck for transport damage, and retain the documentation. Do not substitute a charger because another tool uses the same nominal voltage; use the charger specified for the battery system.
During mowing
Set the cutting height conservatively when grass is long, keep the collector from becoming unnecessarily heavy, and adjust drive speed to the terrain. Clear stones, wire and branches from the lawn before starting. Follow the manual for battery insertion, blade-stop behaviour, cleaning and slope operation; no independent assessment of those procedures is provided, so use EGO’s instructions.
Storage and maintenance questions to answer locally
EGO’s published specifications do not state whether a particular retailer supplies a wall mount, how the handle folds, the exact deck-cleaning method or the recommended long-term battery charge level. Use the official manual for those details. Ask the seller how warranty repairs and battery diagnostics are handled in your country, especially if the mower will be stored in an unheated shed.

A reliable general price cannot be stated from published listings. Retail pricing and stock are volatile, and the UK page’s displayed price is a seller-specific value rather than a current Europe-wide price. Compare like with like: a mower-only listing is not equivalent to this kit with BA4200T and CH5500E, and a promotional bundle may change the apparent value.

Who should buy the LM2135E-SP?
It is a strong fit when
- Your lawn is broad enough for a 52cm deck to reduce passes.
- You want self-propelled assistance and variable speed for inclines or a long mowing route.
- You need the convenience of a 7.5Ah battery and rapid charger in the initial package.
- Your storage and access points can accommodate a wide mower and 70L collector.
- You are prepared to verify local service and accessory availability.
Consider another size or package when
- Your lawn has narrow gates, dense borders or many obstacles.
- You have limited storage or regularly need to lift the mower over steps.
- You already own a compatible battery and a mower-only package would better match your budget.
- Your lawn is small enough that the 52cm width offers little practical time saving.

The European LM2135E-SP is a clearly specified, high-capacity cordless mower kit: 52cm cutting width, 70L collection, seven 25–90mm height settings, rear-wheel self-propulsion, variable speed and a supplied 7.5Ah battery with rapid charger. Those specifications make it most compelling for larger, relatively open lawns where battery inclusion and reduced pushing effort matter.
The important qualifications are equally clear. EGO’s 1,000m² coverage and 60-minute recharge figures are manufacturer claims, while the 50-minute runtime comes from a 2021 reviewer description under conditions that are not fully documented in that report. No independent hands-on assessment establishes steering feel, traction, noise, cut quality or actual area per charge. Buy the LM2135E-SP when the 52cm dimensions fit your access and storage, verify the European kit contents, and treat a local demonstration as essential if slope handling is your deciding factor.
