The public CHOICE listing for the Ecosa Side Support Pillow (adjustable – no pads, zipped up) provides specifications, but not the test scores or Expert Rating needed to call it a CHOICE-approved pillow. It also describes a configuration that differs from Ecosa Australia’s current SideSupport Pillow, which is listed with two removable height pads. That distinction matters when comparing height, dimensions, price and what arrives in the box.
What this review can—and cannot—establish
CHOICE’s public page identifies the reviewed variant as “no pads, zipped up” and lists basic specifications. Its Expert Rating and detailed fatigue, comfort, side-sleeping, back-sleeping, fold and sink results are restricted to members. The public listing therefore does not establish whether CHOICE rated or recommended the pillow. CHOICE’s listing is the source for the published specifications.

No independent hands-on assessment is available here, so feel, comfort and sleep benefits cannot be verified. Ecosa describes its current pillow as soft and intended for side sleepers, but those are seller descriptions, not independent test findings.
CHOICE’s reviewed variant versus Ecosa’s current listing
The title of the CHOICE product record specifies an adjustable model with “no pads, zipped up.” Ecosa Australia’s current SideSupport listing instead describes a pillow with a 10 cm base and two removable pads, measuring 2 cm and 3 cm. Ecosa says these provide four height settings spanning 10–15 cm. The two records should not be treated as identical configurations.

How high should a pillow be for side sleepers?
Ecosa’s side-sleeper guidance gives 10–15 cm as a typical pillow-height range, depending on the sleeper’s body and mattress firmness. It says the aim is to keep the head and neck aligned with the spine without discomfort. This is the seller’s guidance, not a clinical rule or universal threshold; the useful height varies with the person and sleep surface. Ecosa’s side-sleeper guide explains its recommendation.

For the current adjustable listing, the base and pads allow changes within the stated 10–15 cm range. That may be useful if you need to alter loft, but it does not establish that a particular setting will suit your posture or mattress. The CHOICE listing’s 11 cm variable-height specification belongs to its separately titled no-pads variant.

Washing limits
The foam should not go in a washing machine or dryer. Ecosa advises spot-cleaning the insert with a damp cloth. The cover is removable and washable, but Ecosa’s product page gives different drying instructions: its care panel allows low tumble drying or air drying after a gentle machine wash up to 30°C, while its FAQ says to use a cold gentle wash and not to tumble dry. Follow the care label supplied with the specific product you receive.
CHOICE lists spot-clean-only foam care for its reviewed variant. Its public listing does not provide a separate cover-washing procedure.

Quick Recap
Who should consider it, and what to check first
- Consider the current model if you want adjustable loft: Ecosa lists two removable pads and four height settings. Confirm that the version you are buying includes them.
- Check pillowcase fit: The current Ecosa model is 56 × 38 cm, while CHOICE lists its reviewed variant at 58 × 43 cm. Use the dimensions of the actual product for a close-fitting case.
- Assess feel and temperature claims cautiously: Ecosa calls the current pillow soft and provides a cooling-side cover, but neither claim proves how it will feel or perform for a particular sleeper.
- Be comfortable with foam care: The foam cannot be machine washed; cleaning it is limited to spot treatment.
- Read the return terms before ordering: Trial and warranty details apply to Ecosa’s current Australian offer and may be subject to the seller’s conditions.
