What is the Ecosa Pillow?
Ecosa Australia describes a contoured memory-foam pillow with a removable cover and three removable height pads: two 2 cm pads and one 3 cm pad. This is layered foam, not loose shredded fill. The Australian product page lists standard dimensions of 38 × 56 cm and says the cover is machine-washable. CHOICE’s public listing for its tested Ecosa Pillow gives different measurements: variable height of 14 cm, width of 57 cm, length of 40 cm, and mass of 1.5 kg. What did CHOICE find?
In an article updated 31 March 2026, CHOICE said it purchased three adjustable Ecosa pillows for testing in November 2025. One of the three scored highly enough to be recommended, but the accessible article does not say which pillow that was. Its reported comfort results were mixed: one pillow was rated “good” and two “poor” in the configurations tested. CHOICE says it could not test every possible configuration, and detailed scores on its product-review pages are available to members. CHOICE also reported that the three pillows performed well in fold and fatigue testing and fairly well in its sink test. For fatigue testing, it compressed them under a 100 kg load for 96 hours. That describes a laboratory test condition, not how long a pillow will last in a home or a consumer comfort result. CHOICE notes that comfort is subjective and can depend on sleeping position, shoulder width, and body weight. In practical terms, the removable layers give you options to try; they do not remove the need to judge the resulting height and contour for yourself.
Who might find it a good fit?
The pillow is most worth considering if you prefer contoured memory foam and want to adjust a layered pillow’s loft by adding or removing pads. The fit is less certain if you dislike contoured shapes or expect a pillow to feel comfortable without trying different configurations. Your position, shoulder width, body weight, and personal preference all affect whether its height works for you; the public CHOICE findings do not identify a universally comfortable setup.

CHOICE’s overview names alternatives and says some similarly priced pillows performed as well or better, but its public material does not provide enough detail for a reliable numerical ranking.

Prices in the available listings are dated snapshots, not current quotes. CHOICE’s 31 March 2026 overview gives a full price of A$170 and says it paid A$100 for its test unit in November 2025. Ecosa advertises a 100-night trial in Australia. Trial rules are region-specific: Ecosa’s US policy, for example, requires at least 14 nights of use before a return, contact within 100 nights, and proof of purchase; it limits returns to one return of up to two pillows per household and excludes pillows with mould, dirt, stains, smells, or bed bug infestation resulting from poor care. Those US conditions do not establish the Australian return process. Read the terms for the market where you are ordering before purchase.

The Ecosa Pillow’s clearest advantage is its removable height pads, which let you test different lofts in a contoured memory-foam design. The main uncertainty is whether that contour and your chosen pad combination will feel right: CHOICE’s public results were mixed and do not identify the specific model behind its recommendation. It is a reasonable candidate for shoppers who want adjustable loft and are prepared to assess the fit, provided they verify the current price and the applicable trial and warranty terms first.
