Artemis reported that insurance-linked securities (ILS) funds, segregated accounts and reinsurance sidecars held through three Eaton Vance mutual fund strategies were valued at nearly $777 million on July 31, 2026. The outlet reported a new allocation of just over $40 million to Jaffa Capital Fund; its suggestion that Eaton Vance added to the Swiss Re Core Nat Cat Fund is an inference, not a confirmed transaction.
What the $777 million figure covers
The nearly $777 million is Artemis’s reported aggregate for ILS fund structures, segregated accounts and reinsurance sidecars held across Eaton Vance Global Opportunities, Global Macro and Global Macro Absolute Return Advantage. It is not the value of one standalone fund or a single position. Eaton Vance is part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, according to Artemis.

The latest holdings date in the report is July 31, 2026; Artemis published the report on October 5, 2026. The outlet said the positions represented 3.7% of Global Opportunities, 1.3% of Global Macro and 2% of Global Macro Absolute Return Advantage on the holdings date.
