Privacy, national security and foreign influence

In an October 2025 statement, U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal and Elizabeth Warren warned about possible Saudi foreign influence and national-security risks. They pointed specifically to sensitive personal information collected from EA users, the company’s development of artificial intelligence, and its product design and direction. Their statement described potential risks; it did not establish that improper access or influence had occurred.

Is Xbox buying EA?

No evidence in the official Xbox material reviewed supports that claim. Microsoft’s Xbox Wire post addressed the company’s own Xbox reset; it did not connect Xbox to EA or announce an acquisition plan.
