A report published October 6, 2026, put its expected arrival toward the end of October, but did not confirm an exact release date. The news follows the game’s Part 2 finale in version 9.0; the official announcement sets the story context but does not explain the transformation itself.
What the Herrscher of Time announcement says
Siliconera reported on October 6, 2026, that HoYoverse had confirmed the name Herrscher of Time with a teaser and that the Battlesuit would be part of version 9.1. The report described an end-of-October release as an expectation, not a confirmed launch date. Read Siliconera’s report.

That distinction matters for players planning around a banner: the report does not give confirmed banner dates or detailed banner rules. It says the Battlesuit and its equipment would be available through supply banners, so treat the timing and acquisition details as reported information until HoYoverse publishes the relevant schedule.

How it connects to the Part 2 finale
The official version 9.0 announcement, dated August 20, 2026, presents “The Light at Dream’s End” as the “Main Story Part 2 Finale: The Future We Embrace.” It introduces a new story chapter and asks, “If surprises await at every turn, then what dream is left for Dreamseeker to seek?” That language frames the finale around Dreamseeker, but the announcement does not describe the specific plot event or mechanism that turns Dreamseeker into the Herrscher of Time. See HoYoverse’s version 9.0 announcement.
The official announcement says version 9.0 runs from August 20 through October 22, 2026, and includes the finale chapter, a new AstralOp, and events. It does not announce the Herrscher of Time Battlesuit in the material covered there. The transformation should therefore be understood as a reported upcoming development, not as a plot explanation already established by that v9.0 announcement.

What is reported about the Battlesuit
According to Siliconera’s October 6 report, the new form is an S-rank IMG Battlesuit with ranged, fire-based attacks and a Drive Core weapon. Those details are based on the Chinese version; the report is not a hands-on review, and a final English skill sheet was not available in the sources reviewed. They are useful early descriptors, but not a complete or confirmed English-language kit description.
Siliconera describes Dreamseeker as the customizable male-or-female avatar representing the player in Part 2. The character had previously appeared as an AstralOp support unit; the report characterizes Herrscher of Time as Dreamseeker’s first proper playable Battlesuit debut.
