The Dreaming City curse is a repeating cycle of Taken corruption tied to Riven’s Last Wish. Blind Well is a destination activity associated with some Dreaming City weapons; Shattered Throne is a dungeon, and Last Wish is a raid. Bungie lists the dungeon and raid as Forsaken Pack content and says both are accessed from the Dreaming City map. The curse’s current weekly stage and Blind Well’s current reward table are not established here, so check the game for live details.
What is the Dreaming City curse cycle?
The curse is part of the Dreaming City’s story, not just a rotating activity modifier. Bungie explains that the Guardians’ attempt to save the city inadvertently carried out Riven’s Last Wish, drawing the Dreaming City into a recurring cycle of Taken corruption. In Bungie’s May 23, 2024 lore summary, the studio says the fireteam’s actions pulled the city into a cursed cycle “that remains to this day.”

When is the curse strongest?
The original Forsaken-era design described an escalating cycle, with Shattered Throne returning when the curse was at its worst. On September 27, 2018, Bungie said that point would come again in three weeks. That is historical context, not a current rotation timetable: it does not establish which curse stage is active in 2026.

What do you get from Blind Well?
Blind Well is associated with Dreaming City weapon drops, but its exact current reward table and drop rates are not established by the available official information. Bungie’s Season of the Wish announcement in 2023 named Blind Well, Shattered Throne, and Ascendant Challenge chests as sources for returning weapons including Tigerspite, Waking Vigil, Sleepless, Vouchsafe, Retold Tale, Twilight Oath, and Abide the Return. Bungie also said those weapons received updated perk pools and an Advanced Reflexes Origin Trait for that season. The announcement does not say that every listed weapon drops from every listed source, or that this is today’s complete pool.
How do you access Shattered Throne and Last Wish?
- Open the Dreaming City destination map in Destiny 2.
- Select Shattered Throne to enter the dungeon, or select Last Wish to enter the raid. Bungie identifies the Dreaming City map as the access point for both.
- If the activities are unavailable to your account, check the current Bungie collection listing and your platform storefront for Forsaken Pack access; included content and store terms can change.
Bungie’s access guide says Forsaken Pack includes access to Shattered Throne and Last Wish. The current collection page lists the pack with those activities. Check your platform’s storefront for current regional availability and terms.
