It is not a smaller flagship in every respect: its dried-stain mopping score was below average, and its real-world threshold performance fell short of Dreame’s upper rating. Whether it is worth the price depends on which of those strengths and limits matter in your home.
What the Dreame L60 Ultra PE is
The L60 Ultra PE is one of four models in Dreame’s L60 family. It is distinct from the L60 Ultra and L60 Pro Ultra, and it should not be confused with the L60 Ultra FE: names and feature sets are not interchangeable. Dreame positions the PE below the two other L60 models in its launch announcement, while equipping it with a multifunction dock and several features associated with premium robot vacuums.

How it performed in independent tests
Vacuum Wars says it purchased the L60 Ultra PE and evaluated it over several weeks, including vacuum pickup, hair handling, obstacle avoidance, threshold climbing, mopping, navigation, battery efficiency, and dock automation. Its review was last updated August 28, 2026. The results below belong to Vacuum Wars’ stated test protocols and should not be read as a promise for every room or floor. Read Vacuum Wars’ L60 Ultra PE review.
| Test | L60 Ultra PE | Vacuum Wars category average | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Embedded sand removal from medium-pile carpet | 94% | 78% | Vacuum Wars said this was the second-highest result in its dataset of nearly 200 robot vacuums. |
| Flattened pet-hair pickup | 100% | 82% | A strong result in the reviewer’s pet-hair test. |
| Hair wrap in a seven-inch hair-tangle test | 0% | 26% | No hair wrap was recorded in this test. |
| Obstacles avoided | 21 of 24 | 16 of 24 | Better than the category average in the reviewer’s obstacle course. |
| Dried-stain removal score | 85 | 108 | Below average; the review notes the robot used little water, which may help avoid excess moisture but likely contributed to weaker dried-stain removal in this evaluation. |
| Combined mopping score | 30.4 | 30.8 | Close to average. Vacuum Wars corrected an earlier video score after finding human error; these are the corrected page figures. |
| Navigation efficiency | 0.74 m²/min | 0.71 m²/min | Above average in the reviewer’s navigation test. |
| Runtime per 1% battery | 1.49 minutes | 1.56 minutes | Below the category average in the reviewer’s battery-efficiency measure. |
The contrast between the manufacturer’s 30,000 Pa suction figure and Vacuum Wars’ results is a useful reminder: suction ratings do not substitute for pickup tests. Vacuum Wars reported below-average bench suction and airflow measurements alongside the PE’s strong carpet and pet-hair results. For a buyer, the practical evidence is the result on the kind of mess and flooring that matter at home.

Thresholds: check the actual step height
Dreame rates the PE for a single step up to 2.2 cm and a double-layer step up to 4 cm. In Vacuum Wars’ studio evaluation, it crossed 19 mm but failed at 25 mm. Treat the 22 mm single-step figure as an upper limit, not a guarantee: a sharp lip, approach angle, floor surface, or threshold shape can change what the robot manages. Measure the thresholds the robot must cross and compare their shape with the reviewer’s test results before buying.
How it compares with the L60 Ultra FE and higher-priced options
L60 Ultra PE versus L60 Ultra FE
Vacuum Wars’ comparison favors the PE on flattened pet-hair pickup and obstacle avoidance, while the FE did better in the same review’s dried-stain test. That makes the choice less straightforward than assuming the more expensive or higher-numbered model wins every task. If carpet and pet hair dominate, the PE’s test results are especially relevant; if dried spills are a priority, the FE’s result deserves a closer look. Vacuum Wars’ review and model comparison

- High-Powered 25,000Pa Suction Performance: Powerfully clean hard floors and carpets with 25,000Pa suction and 5 suction levels for a customized clean throughout your home.
- Tackle Corner Messes with Ease: L40 Ultra Gen 2 extends its brush and mop to reach corners and under furniture, delivering a deeper clean where most vacuums fail.
- Less Manual Maintenance: All-in-one self-cleaning dock streamlines the autonomous cleaning experience. 4 tailored modes let you care for carpets with precision—carpet avoidance, suction boost, intensive carpet cleaning, and 0.41in mop lifting.
- Your Trusted Navigator for Cleaner Spaces: L40 Ultra Gen 2 maps your home with precision and avoids obstacles like shoes using Smart Pathfinder and 3DAdapt technologies.
- Healthier Home for Your Pets: Maintain clean pet zones with less manual effort, fostering a healthier, happier, and safer environment for your pets.
It is a less compelling match if dried spills are a frequent problem or your home has a threshold near the robot’s rated limit. The PE’s tested dried-stain score was below average, and the studio test shows why a specification alone cannot settle threshold compatibility. Compare current prices for the exact model in your market, and make the decision around your floors, messes, and obstacles rather than the suction figure alone.
