1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsIf Dragon’s Dogma 2 relic farming appears to fail, first identify what is actually missing. Relic Appraisal uses vocation-weighted random results and optional buffs; it is not the same system as ordinary enemy-material drops. A missing enemy, an unactivated Dark Arisen expansion, a lost item, and an unlucky appraisal each require a different response.
Use the checks below in order. They separate what Capcom has documented from player reports, and they avoid treating one historical respawn bug as an explanation for every current farming problem.

Identify the symptom before changing your farming method
The phrase “relic farming” is used for several different activities. Your first symptom determines which troubleshooting path is relevant.
| What you see | Most likely system | Start here |
|---|---|---|
| An appraisal produces a weapon, armor piece or skill you do not want | Dark Arisen Relic Appraisal | Check the Arisen’s vocation, the main Pawn’s vocation and any result-narrowing buff. |
| A target enemy is absent after you previously defeated it | Enemy availability or respawn | Confirm the game is updated, then use a full restart as a troubleshooting step. |
| An enemy is present but does not drop the expected material | Ordinary enemy loot | Verify that you are fighting the intended enemy and that the item is not being confused with a Relic result. |
| Dark Arisen content or its branding does not appear | Expansion access or activation | Check ownership and installation on your platform; treat community reports as platform-specific until confirmed. |
| Items disappear after an encounter or an enemy runs away with them | Loot loss or an individual incident | Protect your next attempt with a safe save and do not assume there is a confirmed recovery method. |
This distinction matters because Relic Appraisal has documented weighting rules, while exact Norgan loot tables, Ducat sources, drop rates and reset timers have not been established in the available official material.

How Dark Arisen Relic Appraisal is designed to work
Vocations influence likelihood, not certainty
Director Kinoshita explained that Relics associated with weapons matching the Arisen’s vocation and the main Pawn’s vocation are made more likely to appear. In practical terms, a Fighter Arisen with a Fighter main Pawn should see Fighter-associated possibilities favored over an unrelated vocation. That is a weighting system, not a guarantee and not a published drop-rate table.
Changing vocation therefore changes the shape of your results, but it cannot promise a particular weapon, armor piece or skill on the next appraisal. If you repeatedly receive plausible items for your current vocations, that is consistent with the system working rather than proof that the farm is broken.
Buffs can narrow the result pool
The game also includes buffs that narrow appraisal results. Kinoshita gave the example of applying a buff that makes a Fighter’s sword easier to obtain. A narrowing effect should be treated as a filter or increased focus, not as a guaranteed drop. The precise effect of every buff and a complete loot table have not been published in the material available here.

- A Grand Adventure – Dragon’s Dogma 2 begins in a subterranean jail, where the Dragon’s voice echoes in the fog of lost memories. With their heart taken by the Dragon, the Arisen is set on a path to slay that symbol of the world’s destruction as it soars through the sky on massive wings, breathing flames that scorch everything in its path. With the Arisen’s future veiled in mystery, what challenges and triumphs await on the path to their destiny?

Progression and map depth set expectations
Relic levels are designed around player progression and the depth of the area being explored. Early locations generally emphasize lower-level possibilities, but the system does not impose a strict rule that only the lowest-level item can appear there. Occasional higher-level results are possible. “Occasional” is a design description, not a measurable percentage, so do not use an invented rate to decide that an area is malfunctioning.
Step-by-step checks when Relic Appraisal is not giving the item you want
- Confirm that you are using the Relic Appraisal system. A Relic result is an appraisal outcome involving weapons, armor or skills with random parameters. A material picked up from a defeated creature follows ordinary enemy-loot rules instead.
- Write down the exact target. Record the desired weapon, armor item or skill and the vocation it is associated with. “Better Relics” is too broad to diagnose; a named target lets you check whether your setup is aligned with it.
- Match the Arisen’s vocation where practical. If the target is associated with a Fighter, use the Fighter vocation for the Arisen when you can do so without compromising the encounter. The match increases likelihood; it does not lock the table.
- Match the main Pawn’s vocation as a second weighting. The director’s explanation refers specifically to the main Pawn, not every temporary companion. Align the main Pawn with the target vocation when testing whether the weighting is helping.
- Apply a relevant narrowing buff. Use the buff that is intended to focus results for the target. Note when it was applied and whether its effect is still active. Do not infer that every buff affects every Relic category.
- Use an area appropriate to your progression. A deeper map location or later progression stage may be more suitable for the level of Relic you are pursuing. An early area can still produce an occasional higher-level result, so an unexpected result is not automatically evidence of a broken table.
- Keep a short attempt log. For each appraisal, record Arisen vocation, main Pawn vocation, buff status, area and result. This separates a bad setup from normal random variation and prevents you from repeatedly testing an unqualified assumption.
- Stop treating repetition as proof of a guaranteed cycle. No named Relic drop-rate statistic or fixed appraisal sequence has been established. Repeating the same action can produce different outcomes, and a streak of unwanted results does not establish a fault.
When the problem is an ordinary enemy drop
If you are farming a material directly from an enemy rather than appraising a Relic, use a separate diagnosis. The key questions are whether the target enemy has actually reappeared, whether the game is current, and whether the expected item belongs to that enemy’s ordinary loot rather than to Relic Appraisal.
Use the January 28, 2025 respawn fix as history, not a universal diagnosis
Capcom’s January 28, 2025 Steam title update listed a fix for an issue in which some enemies would not respawn until the game was restarted. This confirms that a historical enemy-respawn defect existed and that a restart could be relevant at that time. It does not show that every present farming failure, every Dark Arisen enemy or every platform is affected by the same defect.
If an enemy you previously defeated is missing, check that your installation has the latest available update for your platform. Then perform a normal full restart and revisit the location. A restart is a troubleshooting step, not a promise that the enemy’s ordinary respawn schedule has been reset.

Do not infer a drop-rate problem from one absent item
An enemy can reappear without dropping the material you expect. Unless Capcom has documented a guaranteed drop, one unsuccessful kill does not distinguish low probability from a wrong target, wrong item name or an item that comes from another system. The available documentation does not establish current drop percentages for the Norgan-related materials discussed by players.
Save and reload behavior: what it can and cannot fix
Saving is useful for protecting progress, but it is not evidence that a Relic table or enemy spawn has reset.
“Load from Last Inn Rest” excludes camping
Capcom’s Steam FAQ defines Load from Last Inn Rest as loading the most recent rest at an inn or dwelling. Camping does not count as an inn rest for this option. If you camp and later choose that load command, the game can take you back to the earlier inn or dwelling save instead of to the campsite you expected.
Autosaves have specific triggers
Capcom states that autosaves occur when you enter a new area or rest at an inn. Saving is unavailable while you are in an enemy battle. These are save-system behaviors; they do not confirm that an appraisal result, enemy inventory or respawn timer has been rerolled.

- This is Korean Version released by SIEK. Region free title so you can play it on your system.
- Korean Edition supports Multi language Subtitles: English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean
- Dragon's Dogma is a single-player, narrative-driven action-RPG that challenges players to choose their own experience – from the appearance of their Arisen, their vocation, their party, how to approach different situations, and more.
- On your journey, you’ll be joined by Pawns, mysterious otherworldly beings, in an adventure so unique you will feel as if accompanied by other players while on your own adventure.
- All of these elements are elevated further by the latest in graphics, artificial intelligence (AI), and physics technology to create a truly immersive fantasy world in Dragon's Dogma 2.
A safer way to test a farming attempt
- Leave combat and reach a safe state where saving is available.
- Rest at an inn or dwelling if you need a clearly defined Last Inn Rest point.
- Perform the appraisal or enemy encounter once.
- Record what happened before deciding whether to reload.
- Use the appropriate save option only when you understand whether it returns you to the inn/dwelling or to a newer autosave.
Do not rely on a campsite as though it were an inn save, and do not reload during a battle expecting a save that the game cannot create at that moment.
Expansion access and missing Dark Arisen features
If the Relic Appraisal system itself is absent, first verify that Dark Arisen is owned, installed and activated for the account and platform you are using. The official Steam FAQ is written for the Steam edition and may not describe every console or disc-based activation behavior.
Contemporary players have reported access problems, including a PS5 disc copy that did not display expansion branding at startup. Those are individual reports, not confirmation of a universal PlayStation bug. Check the platform’s installed-content and entitlement screens, restart after installation, and confirm that the game is running the edition that includes Dark Arisen. If the feature remains missing, use the platform’s support process rather than trying to solve an appraisal-weighting problem that cannot begin until the expansion is available.
Reports of enemies taking or losing Relics
Some players describe an enemy fleeing after “stealing all my relics,” while others describe items disappearing during an encounter. These reports can explain why your inventory does not match what you remember collecting, but they do not establish a universal mechanic, a confirmed platform defect or a reliable recovery procedure.
Best Value
- Relic Expedition Cycle – Throughout their journey in the kingdom of Norgan, the Arisen must unearth and appraise forgotten relics to unlock powerful new weapons and skills.
- New Dungeon Challenges – The 12 freshly uncovered Lost Rites dungeons house trials designed by the Pathfinder to sharpen the Arisen’s skills and recover rare equipment once held by past Arisen that now lay dormant.
- Deeper Character Customization – New tattoo and hair options have been added to the already robust character creation tool in Dragon’s Dogma 2 so Arisen and Pawns can have even deeper personalization.
- Now on Nintendo Switch 2 – Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen brings the classic fantasy world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 and the Dark Arisen Expansion to the Nintendo Switch 2 for the first time.
- Pre-order Bonuses – The Norgan Fashion Set - Northern Attire will be available as a pre-order bonus, which can be accessed via in-game storage at launch.
For future attempts, reduce loss risk by saving safely before the encounter, checking your inventory immediately after collecting a valuable result and avoiding assumptions that a dropped item remains recoverable after an enemy leaves the area. If an item is gone, the available official information does not confirm a guaranteed way to retrieve it.
What is known—and not known—about Norgan Ducat farming
“Anyone found a good way to farm Norgan Ducats?” and “Can you farm them?” are common player questions, but a verified official source for Norgan Ducat drop locations, exact rates or reset timers is not established here. Do not rely on a percentage, a fixed number of in-game days or a claimed route as though Capcom published it.
You can still apply the correct diagnostic split:
- If Norgan Ducats are a Relic Appraisal result, test vocation alignment and any applicable narrowing buff, while recording the area and progression stage.
- If they are an ordinary enemy drop, verify that the target enemy is available and that the game is updated before judging the drop behavior.
- If the problem is missing expansion content, resolve activation first; no farming route can produce a feature that is not installed.
- If an item vanished after an encounter, treat it as a loss incident rather than proof of a published Ducat reset rule.
A practical decision tree
- Is the missing thing produced by Relic Appraisal? If yes, use the vocation, Pawn and buff checks.
- Is the enemy itself missing? If yes, update the game and restart once, remembering that the 2025 fix was for a documented historical issue and is not a universal explanation.
- Is the enemy present but the item absent? Confirm the target and item category, then continue testing without inventing a drop rate.
- Is Dark Arisen unavailable? Verify installation and entitlement for your platform; Steam guidance may not cover console-specific activation.
- Did the item disappear after collection? Protect subsequent attempts with an inn/dwelling save and treat recovery as uncertain.
How to tell whether your setup is improving results
Because no official percentage is available, judge a setup by controlled comparison rather than by a single lucky or unlucky appraisal. Keep the target constant, change one variable at a time and log the outcome.

This method cannot turn a likelihood into a guarantee, but it can reveal whether you were testing the wrong system or using a setup that was never aligned with the desired result.
When to stop farming and report a reproducible fault
Consider reporting a problem when you can reproduce the same failure after confirming the edition, updating the game, restarting, and separating Relic appraisal from ordinary loot. Include your platform, game version, whether Dark Arisen is installed, the exact target, both vocations, buff status, location and the sequence that caused the loss or missing spawn.
A report that says “relic farming is broken” is difficult to diagnose. A report that identifies a missing feature, a consistently absent enemy after an update, or an item disappearing under repeatable conditions gives support a specific behavior to investigate.
Bottom line
Most “Relic farming not working” cases become clearer once the system is identified. Relic Appraisal favors weapons associated with the Arisen’s and main Pawn’s vocations, and buffs can narrow results, but neither feature guarantees a named item. Ordinary enemy farming requires a separate spawn and loot check; the January 28, 2025 restart-related fix is historical context, not a universal current diagnosis. Keep inn-rest saves distinct from camping, verify Dark Arisen access on your platform, and treat Norgan Ducat rates, reset timers and recovery from lost items as unconfirmed unless an official source documents them.
