The key choice is whether you already own Dragon’s Dogma 2. If you do, the relevant add-on is the paid Dark Arisen Expansion. If you are new, compare the Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen bundle with buying the base game and expansion separately in your local store. The older Deluxe Edition is a different product: it included the base game and a bonus pack, not Dark Arisen.
What does the Dark Arisen Expansion include?
Dark Arisen adds a new story set in Norgan, where the player joins Eir to investigate the Fallen Dragon. Capcom also lists Lost Rites, a set of 12 dungeon challenges, plus additional hairstyles and tattoos for the Arisen and Pawns. The former Deluxe Edition and the Dark Arisen bundle are not interchangeable. Capcom’s June 12, 2026 notice said sales of the former Deluxe Edition through Capcom Town Store would end at 9:00 JST on June 25, 2026, while the base game would remain available there. That notice applies to Capcom Town Store; it does not establish availability through every platform or seller. Capcom announced Dark Arisen as a paid expansion for the March 2024 game.

What should you buy?
If you already own the base game
Compare the standalone expansion’s current price in your platform’s local store with how much you want the Norgan story and dungeon challenges. You do not need the bundle to get the expansion, and buying a bundle that includes a base game you already own may not be the best-value route. Check the bundle’s terms and contents before purchasing.
If you do not own the game
Compare the bundle price with the combined local prices of the base game and expansion bought separately. The bundle is confirmed to include both on the PlayStation Store listing, but that does not guarantee the same offer or price on every platform or in every region.

Buy or play the base game alone if you are not yet sure you want additional story and challenge content. You can decide about the expansion after you know whether you want more of the game.
Prices and availability depend on store and region
On October 9, 2026, Capcom’s US storefront displayed $49.99 for the bundle and $29.99 for the standalone expansion. These are dated US-store prices, not universal or guaranteed current prices. Also confirm whether a listing is digital or physical and what platform it supports. A listing for an older Deluxe Edition deserves extra scrutiny: check the exact included content and seller rather than assuming it contains the newer expansion.
