Dragon Tower is a Stake Original game played online: choose a bet and one of five difficulty settings, then select a tile in each row to uncover hidden dragon eggs. A correct pick advances you and increases the available multiplier. After each success you can collect the displayed outcome or continue; if a later pick is wrong, the current round outcome is lost. Stake publishes a 98% theoretical RTP and 2% house edge, but those are long-run operator figures, not a promise for any individual game or session.

What Dragon Tower on Stake actually is

Dragon Tower is a digital Stake Original available through Stake’s online casino interface. It is not a physical tower, board game or separate piece of hardware. You play on the website by choosing a stake, selecting a difficulty and uncovering one tile at a time on a vertical grid. Each successful choice reveals an egg and moves the round to the next level.

The game is built around a simple risk decision. A win on the current row raises the multiplier shown for the round. At that point, the interface presents a choice: take the available result or attempt another row. Continuing may produce a larger multiplier, but it also exposes the entire round outcome to the next selection. Stake’s game description says that a failed selection after continuing makes the multiplier return to zero; its guide describes the same event as losing the round.

Stake labels Dragon Tower a game of luck. The published instructions do not identify a skill method that can reveal the egg’s location or guarantee a win.

What you need before starting

  • A Stake account that can access the Originals casino section in your market.
  • A device with a current web browser and a stable connection. The game is played online; no special controller, accessory or downloadable hardware is required.
  • A bet amount you are prepared to lose. The amount is selected in the game interface before the round begins.
  • An understanding of the cash-out decision: continuing puts the current round result at risk.

Account, deposit and currency options can differ by country and can change over time. Check the information shown in your own Stake account and follow the gambling rules that apply where you live rather than relying on a general list of payment methods.

How much does a round cost?

The cost of entering a round is the bet you enter before the first tile selection. Stake’s published description does not identify a separate Dragon Tower ticket price, subscription or hardware purchase. A multiplier is applied to the active round’s wager as the game progresses, so the amount you can collect depends on both your starting bet and the multiplier displayed at that moment.

A larger multiplier is not a discount on the original risk. If you continue and miss, Stake says the multiplier is lost and the round outcome returns to zero. For budgeting purposes, treat the entire opening bet as money at risk from the instant you confirm the round. Do not count a displayed potential payout as money you already possess.

How to play Dragon Tower step by step

1. Open the game

  1. Sign in to Stake and open the Stake Originals lobby.
  2. Select Dragon Tower from the available Originals games.

Labels and navigation can be adjusted by the operator, so use the Dragon Tower entry in the Originals area rather than searching for a similarly named third-party game.

2. Enter your bet

Type or select the amount you want to wager in the bet field. This is the stake for the round. Confirm that the displayed amount and currency are correct before starting; a larger multiplier applies to the round’s wager, so the amount at risk is determined by the initial bet and the outcome of your selections.

3. Choose a difficulty

Select one of Stake’s five labels: Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert or Master. Stake says difficulty is linked to the grid size and that advanced levels offer larger multiplier potential. The official description consulted for this guide does not publish a complete tile count, egg probability or multiplier table for each setting.

4. Pick a tile on the first row

Click one tile in the first row. A correct pick reveals an egg, marks the level as successful and advances the round. The multiplier available for collection increases according to the game’s internal table.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

5. Decide whether to collect or continue

After a successful selection, review the displayed cash-out or collect option. Selecting it ends the round with the amount currently offered by the interface. Continuing opens the next level and gives you a chance to raise the multiplier, but the next selection can erase the round outcome if it is wrong. Cashing out is a deliberate action; it is not described as automatic after a win.

6. Repeat only while the risk is acceptable

If you continue, select one tile in the next row and repeat the same decision. The sequence is always: choose a tile, check whether an egg was revealed, then either collect or continue. Keep the original bet and the displayed amount in view so that a rising multiplier does not obscure the money at risk.

7. Understand a miss

A wrong tile does not merely stop the climb. Stake’s game page says the multiplier is lost and returns to zero when a player continues and fails to reveal an egg. The accompanying guide describes a wrong guess as losing the round. In practical terms, do not assume that a previous successful row is protected once you press continue.

How progression and cash-out work

Dragon Tower has no separate inventory, tower-building system or persistent level that carries between rounds. Progress is tied to the current bet. Each correct row advances that round and increases the multiplier shown for collection. Starting a new round creates a new sequence with a new bet.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Action after a correct pick What happens Risk to the current round
Collect or cash out The interface pays the amount it displays for the current multiplier and ends the round. No further tile selection is required for that round.
Continue The game opens the next level and offers a potentially higher multiplier. A wrong next pick loses the round outcome, according to Stake’s published description.

The exact multiplier values depend on the selected difficulty and level. Stake’s consulted pages state that advanced difficulties have larger multipliers but do not provide a full numeric progression table. Treat the amount shown in the live game as authoritative for your round and do not infer a payout from the difficulty name alone.

What the five difficulty settings tell you

Stake lists five settings, but the names are labels rather than a complete statistical specification. The operator connects difficulty to grid size and says higher settings can produce larger multipliers. The available material does not establish the exact number of tiles, the number of eggs in each row, the probability of a correct pick, or a level-by-level payout schedule.

Setting Stake’s stated distinction Details not published on the consulted page
Easy One of the five selectable difficulties; grid size varies by difficulty. Exact grid, egg probability and multiplier sequence: not stated.
Medium One of the five selectable difficulties; grid size varies by difficulty. Exact grid, egg probability and multiplier sequence: not stated.
Hard One of the five selectable difficulties; grid size varies by difficulty. Exact grid, egg probability and multiplier sequence: not stated.
Expert One of the five selectable difficulties; advanced levels are described as having larger multipliers. Exact grid, egg probability and multiplier sequence: not stated.
Master One of the five selectable difficulties; advanced levels are described as having larger multipliers. Exact grid, egg probability and multiplier sequence: not stated.

Because the published information does not give the underlying probabilities, it is not possible to rank these settings numerically or identify one as objectively best. A larger advertised multiplier is compensation for greater risk, not evidence of a better expected result. Choose a setting only after checking the live game’s displayed layout and multiplier information.

Manual picks versus auto-play

Dragon Tower supports manual tile selection and an auto-pick feature. Manual mode lets you click the location yourself on every row. In auto-play, the game selects locations on your behalf. Stake’s guide also describes controls for configuring the number of bets and reset behavior.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Auto-play changes who makes the clicks, not the game’s stated risk. It does not turn a random selection into a prediction, alter the published house edge or protect a multiplier. If you use it, verify the number of bets and reset settings before starting, and stop the sequence when it reaches the limit you intended. A reset option should be treated as an interface control, not as a way to recover a lost round.

Reading the live game panel

Before confirming a bet, check the selected difficulty, stake amount and currency. After every successful tile, check the current level, the multiplier and the amount offered for collection. These are the figures that govern the round in front of you; they are more useful than a remembered screenshot or a third-party table.

If the collect control is visible, read its amount rather than assuming that the next level will preserve it. The game does not describe cash-out as automatic, and continuing is an affirmative risk decision. A slow connection or a busy screen is a reason to pause and verify the round state, not to click repeatedly. If the interface has not confirmed the previous action, wait for the result before submitting another selection.

Stake’s 98% RTP and 2% house edge

Stake’s official Dragon Tower page states: “This game has a theoretical return to player percentage of 98%, meaning that the Dragon Tower house edge is just 2%.” Record that as a 98% theoretical RTP published by Stake; publication year is not stated on the page.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The word theoretical is essential. RTP is a long-run statistical measure used to describe the game’s design over a very large number of outcomes. It does not mean that a player receives 98% of a particular bet, 98% of a session’s deposits or 98% of a day’s losses. Short sessions can finish far above or below that figure, and a single failed continuation can lose the current round outcome.

The 2% figure is the corresponding operator-stated house edge, not an additional fee charged separately from the bet. These numbers come from Stake’s own game information; the available pages do not provide an independent calculation or audit that can be checked here. Do not use RTP as a forecast for your next pick or as a reason to increase a wager.

What “provably fair” means here—and what is not established

Stake labels Dragon Tower “Provably Fair.” Its how-to guide also says the game was independently tested for randomness. Those are claims made by the operator. The consulted pages do not name the testing organization, provide a game-specific audit report or explain a verification procedure for an individual round.

Accordingly, the careful interpretation is that Stake presents the game as provably fair and says randomness was independently tested, while the identity of the tester and the verification method remain unspecified in the published material used for this explanation. That wording should not be expanded into a claim of independently verified fairness.

A practical cash-out decision framework

No rule can guarantee a winning sequence, but a written decision policy can prevent an emotional chase after a near miss. Before you start, decide:

Runaway Parade Games Fire Tower Board Game Deluxe Edition | Fight Fire with Fire in This Fast-paced, Competitive Strategy Game | Easy to Learn | 10+ | 15-30 min
  • EASY TO SET UP, EASY TO LEARN: Fire Tower takes seconds to set up and minutes to learn. The game is highly accessible because of its intuitive rules and visual instructions that show how each card works.
  • UNIQUE THEME AND GAMEPLAY: Fire Tower brings players into a unique world of competitive firefighting. Use real firefighting techniques to defend your tower from the growing flames and take control of nature to send the fire towards your opponents to claim victory. Each turn, you must spread the fire in the direction of the wind and then play one of your action cards. Extinguish the blaze with fire engines, dispatch smoke jumpers, and build firebreaks. Harness the destructive force of nature to spread the flames away from your tower and towards your opponents.
  • STRATEGIC AND FAST-PACED with HIGH REPLAYABILITY: Fire Tower takes 15-30 minutes to play. Every turn is a tense decision, as players must adjust to changing conditions in the forest and the plans of their opponents. Downtime is minimal, and players stay in the game even after their towers are destroyed, continuing to play as the vengeful Shadow of the Wood with special powers and a new path to victory. Try playing free-for-all or battle in teams of two to change up the strategy of the game.
  • VIBRANT ARTWORK AND COMPONENTS: The game features original watercolors by fine artist Kevin Ruelle. The vivid colors perfectly match the beautiful, unique components and create a highly tactile experience that fully immerses players in the theme of the game. The game’s deluxe components include 135 glimmering fire gems, a printed cloth bag, custom meeples, an engraved wind die, and more.
  • THE PERFECT GIFT: This game is a great gift for gamers, teens, adults and kids. It’s easy to introduce to new players, but has enough strategic depth to engage gamers as well, making it the perfect fit for family game night, Thanksgiving, or your next weekly get-together.
  • Maximum stake: the largest amount you will risk in one round.
  • Collection point: the minimum multiplier or displayed amount at which you will cash out.
  • Session limit: the total loss or time at which you will stop playing.
  • Continuation rule: whether you will ever continue beyond your planned collection point, and under what pre-set condition.

Once a round is underway, compare the displayed cash-out amount with the risk of one more selection. The previous rows do not make the next tile safer, and a larger potential multiplier does not remove the possibility of losing the current outcome. If you cannot accept that loss, collect instead of continuing.

Common problems and how to handle them

The game is not visible in the lobby

Confirm that you are in the Stake Originals section, signed in to an account that is eligible in your market, and using the current version of the site. Availability can vary by jurisdiction. Do not try to bypass a local restriction with an unapproved account or payment method.

The displayed multiplier or layout looks different

Check the selected difficulty and the live game’s information panel. Stake does not publish one universal tile and multiplier table in the material described here, so layouts can differ by setting. Use the values shown before confirming a bet rather than relying on a screenshot or an old explanation.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

An auto-play sequence keeps running

Open the auto-play controls and review the configured number of bets and reset behavior. Stop the sequence from the game’s control panel, then verify that a new round has not already been queued. If the page appears frozen, wait for the round result before refreshing so you do not submit an unintended second action.

You clicked the wrong tile

A missed selection cannot be undone through the game rules described by Stake. If the round is lost, record the result, check that no further auto-play bets are scheduled, and avoid increasing the next stake to chase the loss.

The balance or currency seems unexpected

Stop before placing another bet and review the account balance, selected currency and stake field. Currency availability and account features can vary by market. Never assume that a displayed figure is in the currency you use elsewhere, and do not continue while a balance or bet amount is unclear.

Play responsibly

Dragon Tower is a luck-based gambling game, not a puzzle in which observation can identify the hidden egg. Set a budget from money you can afford to lose, use any account limits available to you, and take breaks. Never borrow money, use essential household funds or treat the 98% theoretical RTP as an income plan. If playing stops feeling voluntary or you are trying to recover losses, stop and seek help from a gambling-support service available in your country.

Can I cash out in Dragon Tower?

Yes. After a successful selection, use the displayed collect or cash-out control to end the round with the amount shown. Cashing out is a deliberate action and is not described as automatic.

What happens if I choose the wrong tile?

If you continue and fail to reveal an egg, Stake says the multiplier is lost and returns to zero. Its guide describes a wrong guess as losing the round, so do not assume earlier progress is protected.

Which Dragon Tower difficulty is best?

Stake lists Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert and Master. It links difficulty to grid size and says advanced settings offer larger multipliers, but the published pages do not provide enough probabilities or payout data to identify one as objectively best.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Does auto-pick improve my odds?

No. Auto-pick selects locations for you, while manual mode lets you click them yourself. Stake’s description does not say that either method changes the game’s risk, RTP or house edge.

Is the 98% RTP a guaranteed return?

No. Stake publishes 98% as a theoretical RTP and 2% as the house edge. Those are long-run design figures, not a promise that an individual bet or session will return 98%.

Is Dragon Tower provably fair?

Stake labels the game “Provably Fair” and says randomness was independently tested. The published pages do not name the tester or provide a game-specific verification procedure, so those statements should be attributed to Stake.

Do I need special equipment or a download?

No special controller, accessory or physical product is identified. Dragon Tower is played online through Stake’s interface with a compatible browser and a stable connection.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The Bottom Line

Dragon Tower on Stake is a luck-based, tile-by-tile game: choose a bet and difficulty, pick through successive rows, and collect before a miss can erase the round outcome. Stake publishes a 98% theoretical RTP and 2% house edge, but neither figure predicts your next game. Check the live multiplier and cash-out amount, set limits in advance and treat every continuation as a new risk decision.
