“Black Wind” and “White Wind” are not newly established Saiyan transformations in the Dragon Ball anime or manga. The names identify two limited-time Infinite Skin cosmetic collections in the free-to-play team battle game DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA. The Dragon Ball Official Site announced the collections on 14 October 2026, with a shop period listed through 4 November 2026 at 05:59 UTC.
The announcement’s wording can sound like a transformation reveal, but the official page describes character skins rather than new forms with new story or combat identities. The designs feature flickering neon-green accents intended to evoke wind, and each collection is sold as a four-character set.

The official announcement describes the Black Wind series as a four-skin set for Super Gogeta, Super Vegito, Super Saiyan Son Goku and Super Saiyan Vegeta. The White Wind series is another four-skin set for Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku, Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta, Jiren and Goku Black.
What Black Wind and White Wind actually are
In Gekishin Squadra, an Infinite Skin is an in-game cosmetic applied to an existing playable character. “Black Wind” and “White Wind” therefore describe visual series names in the shop, not canon transformations, new manga chapters or anime power-up states. The announcement does not establish either name as part of Dragon Ball’s story continuity.
#1 Best Overall
- Dragon Ball Evolve delivers a high-quality figure created to look exactly like your favorite character from the popular anime series, Dragon Ball Super
- Each character in the Evolve series is approximately 5 inches tall with 27 points of articulation!
- Dragon Ball Super Evolve figures are so authentic and realistic you can recreate the epic battles and favorite moments from the anime

The visual distinction is the series branding: Black Wind uses the Black Wind identity for its four-character roster, while White Wind uses the White Wind identity for a different four-character roster. Both are presented with neon-green effects that the official site says give the skins a “true feeling of the wind.”
Character line-up
| Skin series | Characters included | What the announcement establishes |

| White Wind | Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku; Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta; Jiren; Goku Black | A separate four-skin Infinite Skin set sold in the game shop |
The names in the table are the characters receiving cosmetics; they do not indicate that those characters have permanently gained a “Black Wind” or “White Wind” form.

White Wind also coincides with a Season 7 hero
The same official announcement introduces Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku as the third new Season 7 hero. He has the Damage role, which is a gameplay classification rather than a statement that the White Wind cosmetic changes his canonical transformation.
Players who field Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku with Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta can trigger the merged “Kamehameha & Galick Gun” attack, according to the announcement. That team interaction is separate from the cosmetic set itself: the White Wind series changes appearance, while the hero and his team attack belong to the game’s Season 7 content.

When the sets are available
A Steam listing gives the White Wind and Black Wind set period as 14 October 2026, 06:00 UTC, through 4 November 2026, 05:59 UTC. That is a scheduled shop window, not a guarantee that the cosmetics will return later. Shop contents and availability can change, so check the in-game listing for your region before attempting to obtain a set.
The available information does not state a price, discount, separate character-by-character price, or physical retail version for either collection. Do not assume that buying one set includes the other or that the four skins can be purchased individually unless the current shop interface says so.

What this reveal means for players
If you wanted a new transformation
There is no confirmed Black Wind or White Wind transformation to learn, unlock as a separate fighter, or treat as a new canon power level. The reveal is a cosmetic customization announcement.
If you want the Black Wind roster
Look for the four-character set featuring Super Gogeta, Super Vegito, Super Saiyan Son Goku and Super Saiyan Vegeta during the listed shop period.
If you want the White Wind roster
Look for the four-character set featuring Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku, Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta, Jiren and Goku Black. Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku is also the newly announced Season 7 Damage hero, with the paired “Kamehameha & Galick Gun” attack available when teamed with Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta.
In short, Dragon Ball’s 14 October announcement expands Gekishin Squadra’s cosmetic shop and Season 7 roster; it does not add Black Wind or White Wind to the franchise’s list of canonical Saiyan transformations.
