DOOM: The Dark Ages – Revelations adds a six-level campaign expansion and a defined endgame replay loop. The confirmed details: you revisit campaign levels with added challenges and puzzles, then face an uber boss and Master Arenas. Completing those arenas unlocks new Revelations content in Ripatorium 3.0. Bethesda’s published information does not say whether base-campaign upgrades transfer, or confirm a general menu for freely replaying individual Revelations missions.
What Revelations adds
Bethesda describes Revelations as a six-level campaign expansion for DOOM: The Dark Ages. It introduces new demons, deeper puzzles and mysteries, and the Chain Spear. The standalone add-on requires the base game.

In an Xbox Wire preview, Game Director and id Software Studio Co-Director Hugo Martin described the Chain Spear as adding dash and grapple-hook movement. In that preview’s account, the Slayer initially gets the spear after the shield is broken, and later can switch freely between shield and spear. These are expansion mechanics, not details about save-file transfer.

What is documented is progression within the expansion: its endgame unlocks a fully upgraded Revelations loadout for Ripatorium use after the Master Arenas. That is a DLC-specific unlock, not evidence that base-campaign upgrades transfer.
What can you replay in Revelations?
The endgame campaign revisit
The documented replay feature is a structured endgame sequence. Xbox Wire reports that players return to campaign levels for additional challenges and puzzles, followed by an uber boss and Master Arenas. This confirms a designed revisit of campaign locations; it does not establish that every Revelations mission is available for unrestricted selection whenever you want.

Master Arenas and the Ripatorium unlock
After completing the Revelations Master Arenas, players unlock content in Ripatorium 3.0, according to Bethesda’s Update 4 notes:
- Three arenas: Hell’s Core, Osseus, and Classic.
- Revelations demons, including Leaders and Champions.
- A fully upgraded Revelations loadout using the Spear and new Suit Perks.
- Six encounter presets curated by id Software.
Update 4 also adds the ability to save and load personal encounter presets and adjust spawn, pickup, Berserk, and BFC-ammo settings. The notes describe these Ripatorium features; they do not announce a free-select menu for replaying individual Revelations story missions.

If a Master Arena fails to spawn enemies
Bethesda’s Update 4 notes list a known issue in which Master Arenas may fail to spawn enemies after repeated runs. The stated workaround is to load the previous checkpoint.
How to get Revelations
Bethesda lists Revelations as included with the Premium Edition and Collector’s Bundle, and also offers it as a standalone add-on. Bethesda Support says Premium Edition and Collector’s Bundle owners receive the expansion; owners of the base game can buy the standalone DLC or upgrade. The standalone DLC requires the base game, as stated on Bethesda’s product page. Edition availability and prices can vary by platform and change over time, so check the relevant store listing.

How long is the expansion?
Xbox Wire’s July 1, 2026 preview estimated 10–12 hours for Revelations, based on a virtual presentation and Q&A with Hugo Martin. Treat that as a preview estimate, not a guaranteed completion time; play style and time spent on challenges can affect how long a run takes.
