Start with the hero, not a supposed tier list
The game is built around recruiting heroes and preparing a formation for battle. Before committing to a unit, read its skill description and identify the role it appears to serve in your current version. Avoid assuming that a class label alone tells you what a hero does: the in-game skill text is the practical evidence to use when deciding whether a recruit fits your lineup.

Build a coherent class mix
The Google Play listing names five classes—Warriors, Mages, Hunters, Assassins, and Supports—and encourages players to mix and match their synergies. It does not give exact activation thresholds or identify the strongest combinations. Use the synergy indicators visible in your own game rather than relying on a fixed recipe from an older version or an unverified guide.

- Read the displayed synergy information. Use the current client’s labels or indicators to see which combinations your choices support; do not assume a bonus activates at a particular count unless the game shows it.
- Compare skills and roles. Among heroes that fit a class combination, prefer the ones whose skills and roles make sense together for your plan.
- Reassess when your options change. A lineup should respond to the heroes available to you, rather than forcing every match into the same unverified build.
This is a decision-making framework, not a proven strongest-build formula: the official description supplies the class names and synergy emphasis, but no measured lineup comparisons.
Use Twilight Ember to learn before playing ranked
The official listing describes Twilight Ember as a PvE challenge that awards rare progression materials. It is a sensible place to explore hero skills, formation choices, and the game’s displayed class information without treating every decision as a ranked experiment. The listing does not describe it as a dedicated practice mode, so regard experimentation as a useful way to approach PvE, not a special feature promised by the developer.

Once you understand what your heroes do and how the game represents synergies, take that knowledge to the Ranked Ladder if your goal is competitive play. The listing says the ladder has global leaderboards; it does not publish matchmaking rules, rank rewards, or a strategy that guarantees advancement.
Verify mechanics that may change
A Reddit player’s August 2026 account describes recruiting units, leveling duplicates instead of deploying a new unit, raising a unit to level five, and having four lives. These are details from one player’s post, not established official rules. If those mechanics appear in your client, check the current on-screen instructions before spending resources or making a match decision based on them.

Game mechanics and availability can change, so use the version currently installed as the final reference. The listing also reports ads and in-app purchases, including random items; that disclosure alone does not show that spending is necessary to win.

The official store description establishes the game’s broad loop: recruit heroes, consider class synergies, prepare a formation, and attempt to survive its dark-fantasy battles. It names Twilight Ember PvE and the Ranked Ladder, but it does not provide matchup counters, detailed synergy thresholds, current hero balance data, or measured win rates. The useful approach is therefore to make decisions from the skill descriptions and synergy information in your current client, then adapt as your available lineup changes.
