What is confirmed about GTA 6’s Criminal Profile?
Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson described a Criminal Profile system in an interview reported by PC Gamer. Nelson said: “There isn’t a right or wrong way to play this game, but consistent actions may have an impact in terms of how the world reacts to you and how the narrative plays out.”

Does the Criminal Profile change the GTA 6 ending?
No ending effect is confirmed by the cited reporting. Nelson’s phrase “how the narrative plays out” is broad; it could refer to reactions or developments during the story, and should not be read as confirmation of multiple finales or an ending selected by a morality score. GamesRadar+ also reports broader consequences from player choices, but its account does not establish whether those consequences come from discrete choices, behavior accumulating in the open world, or either changing the final ending.
So if you are asking whether you need to play honorably to get a particular finale, there is no verified answer yet. The reporting does not identify ending triggers, rank requirements, or distinct ending outcomes.

Is GTA 6’s system the same as Red Dead Redemption 2’s Honor?
No. The reported comparison is useful context, not proof that GTA 6 repeats Red Dead Redemption 2’s mechanics. In a translated Famitsu interview, Nelson said that players’ ability to influence Arthur’s story, particularly through choices and the Honor system, helped them become emotionally invested. That comment concerns Arthur Morgan and Red Dead Redemption 2.

The distinction matters because a familiar design precedent can make a theory plausible without making it confirmed. GTA 6’s reported Criminal Profile should not be treated as a renamed copy of Red Dead Redemption 2’s system.

What remains unknown?
- Whether Criminal Profile appears as a visible rank, meter, or other indicator.
- Its scale, thresholds, and complete list of actions that affect it.
- Whether Jason and Lucia have separate profiles or share one.
- Whether the profile changes the ending or only influences reactions and story events before it.
These distinctions are especially important because Rockstar’s official GTA VI page describes Jason and Lucia as partners drawn into a criminal conspiracy across Leonida after an easy score goes wrong, but does not document the Criminal Profile or ending logic. GTA VI is listed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a November 19, 2026 release date on that page. No such connection is established. In remarks reported by TechRadar, Nelson described romance as optional to nurture while Jason and Lucia work together through most of the story. That is a separate relationship detail, not evidence of a morality score or ending requirement.
