Yes, TikTok sometimes offers advertising credit to qualified new advertisers, but a new account does not automatically guarantee a fixed amount. The value, eligibility rules, qualifying spend, eligible campaign products, registration deadline and expiry depend on the promotion shown in your TikTok Ads Manager account. Check that live offer before committing any money.
What “free TikTok ad credit” actually means
TikTok ad credit is platform spending credit that can be used to pay for advertising on TikTok. It is not cash that can be withdrawn or transferred. Depending on the promotion, TikTok may apply the credit automatically, require you to assign it to a campaign, or release it only after you meet conditions such as a qualifying spend, targeting requirement or minimum account balance.

TikTok for Business describes offers as available to qualified advertisers through Ads Manager or, in some cases, through a sales representative. Therefore, simply opening a new advertising account is not proof that you qualify.

- Sign in to TikTok Ads Manager. Use the advertising account you intend to run campaigns from.
- Open the ad-credit controls or Promotions area. The available location and label can vary by account.
- Open the offer details. Review the eligible account type, targeted products, qualifying spend, balance requirement, registration deadline and expiry date.
- Register if the offer provides a registration option. Some accounts may receive or manage credit automatically and will not show a separate registration step.
- Confirm how the credit is applied. Determine whether it is automatically used, must be assigned to a campaign, or becomes available only after a condition is completed.
- Decide whether the underlying campaign is worthwhile. Do not spend money solely to unlock a reward unless the required advertising would make sense without the incentive.
Credit types you may encounter
| Credit type | How it generally works | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Free credit | Credit supplied under the promotion’s terms, potentially usable without a separate qualifying-spend trigger. | Eligible products, registration deadline, balance rules and expiry. |
| Assignable credit | Credit exists on the account but must be allocated to a specific campaign before it can pay for ads. | Which campaigns can receive it and whether assignment is required before a deadline. |
| Conditional credit | Credit is released or usable only after requirements such as qualifying spend, targeting or an account-balance threshold are met. | The exact threshold, measurement period, eligible spend and release timing. |
These categories describe mechanics, not a universal TikTok programme. The individual offer in your account controls the actual rules.

Why there is no universal “new advertiser” amount
TikTok’s general help pages do not establish one current credit amount for every new advertiser. Public programme examples and individual promotion pages can be limited by date, geography, account and product. An amount displayed for one advertiser—or in a June 2026 programme document—should not be presented as a guaranteed amount for all accounts.
If Ads Manager does not display an offer, you may not be eligible, the promotion may not operate in your location, or the account may not meet the programme’s conditions. TikTok may also distribute an offer through a representative rather than showing it to every new self-serve account.
Eligibility rules that can change the result
Account and business structure
Read whether the offer is restricted to a particular advertiser type, self-serve account or business arrangement. TikTok’s New Advertiser Incentive Programme states that one advertiser redemption may be allowed and that another account under a business account that already received the coupon may be excluded.

Campaign product restrictions
A credit may apply only to specified TikTok ad products. The registration guidance warns that restrictions vary by credit, so check the targeted products before building a campaign.
Spend and balance conditions
Some acquisition coupons are tied to a qualifying spend. Conditional credits can also require an available account balance or other account-level condition. Confirm what counts as qualifying spend and when TikTok measures it.
Deadlines and expiration
Offers can have separate registration, spending and redemption deadlines. Treat the expiry date shown in your live offer as controlling. An older TikTok SMB activation page includes a 30-day example and a 2023 expiration example; those historical terms are not current universal rules.
What to record before you register
- The exact credit amount and currency, if displayed.
- The account, country or region and business type that qualify.
- Whether the credit is free, assignable or conditional.
- The qualifying spend amount, eligible spend window and any minimum balance.
- The campaigns or ad products that may use the credit.
- Whether registration or campaign assignment is required.
- Registration, redemption and expiration dates.
- Whether another account in the same business has already redeemed the promotion.
Save a copy of the terms shown in Ads Manager. Promotion details can change, and the live account terms are more relevant than a general article or an old offer page.

Assuming every new account qualifies
“New advertiser” is not the same as “automatically eligible.” Qualification depends on the programme and the account’s displayed terms.
Confusing credit with cash
Ad credit pays for eligible TikTok advertising; it is not a cash rebate and normally cannot be withdrawn.
Rank #4
Ignoring campaign assignment
An account can show a balance while a campaign receives no benefit if the credit must first be assigned.
Using an old promotion as a current rule
Historical SMB offer pages and dated examples are evidence that conditions can be specific, not proof that the same amount, 30-day window or expiry applies now.
Spending more than planned
A qualifying-spend requirement can make an apparently free offer expensive. Compare the required spend with the campaign’s normal budget and expected return before registering.
Best Value
Is the offer worth pursuing?
It can reduce the cost of a campaign you already planned to run, especially when the credit applies automatically and has a usable expiry period. It is less attractive when the qualifying spend is high, the eligible products do not fit your objective, or the credit expires before you can test and optimize a campaign.
The practical decision is straightforward: open Ads Manager, verify the live terms, calculate the amount you would spend without the incentive, and proceed only if that campaign is acceptable on its own.
The Bottom Line
TikTok does offer free ad-credit promotions to some qualified new advertisers, but there is no guaranteed universal amount. Your TikTok Ads Manager offer—not your account’s age alone—determines eligibility, conditions and expiry.
