No. The Samsung Galaxy A37 does not have built-in wireless charging, and Samsung does not list it as supporting microSD expansion. It charges through USB Type-C using wired Super Fast Charging rated up to 45W on Samsung’s US support page. Because memory and storage combinations differ by country, select the correct built-in capacity when you buy rather than planning to add a card later.
Samsung’s support guidance says that “Wireless charging and PowerShare are not supported on the Galaxy A series model phones.” Its A-series overview distinguishes the A37’s internal storage from models it identifies as microSD-expandable. The safest purchase decision is therefore based on the regional A37 listing, its included storage and memory configuration, and the charging specification shown for that market.

Galaxy A37 charging and storage at a glance
| Feature | Galaxy A37 specification | Practical implication |
|---|---|---|
| Wireless charging | Unsupported | A wireless charging pad alone will not charge the phone. |
| Wireless PowerShare | Unsupported | The A37 cannot be used as a wireless charging source for another device. |
| Wired charging | Super Fast Charging up to 45W on Samsung’s US A37 support page | Use the USB-C port and a compatible wired charger; confirm the regional specification before purchase. |
| Connector | USB Type-C | Replacement cables and chargers must be USB-C-compatible. |
| microSD expansion | Not listed for the A37 | There is no Samsung-documented way to add a microSD card as internal phone storage. |
| Built-in storage | Regional configurations include 128GB and 256GB | Choose enough internal capacity at checkout because it cannot be expanded with a card. |
Samsung’s current support information is available in its Galaxy A37 setup and transfer guide. The company’s specifications and capacities can change by market, so a local product page remains the final authority for the exact model you are ordering.

Wireless charging: what the A37 does and does not support
The A37 does not contain Samsung-supported wireless charging hardware. Samsung’s A-series support statement applies directly to this phone family and explicitly excludes both wireless charging and PowerShare. That means placing the A37 on a wireless charging pad will not begin charging, even if the pad itself is working correctly.

PowerShare is a separate feature
PowerShare is Samsung’s name for reverse wireless charging: a compatible phone transfers power to another device placed on its back. It is different from receiving power from a charging pad, but Samsung’s statement rules out both functions for A-series model phones. The A37 therefore cannot charge another phone, earbuds case or watch wirelessly either.
What to do if you already own a charging pad
Keep the pad for devices that support it, but plan to connect the A37 by cable. A pad does not become an A37 accessory simply because the phone has a modern USB Type-C port; the port and the wireless coil perform different jobs. Samsung has not documented wireless charging as an A37 feature, so third-party adapters should not be treated as an equivalent built-in capability or as a guaranteed solution.
If wireless charging is a non-negotiable requirement, compare phones whose official specifications explicitly name wireless charging. Do not infer support from the A37’s price, its 5G branding or its USB-C connector.
Wired charging and the 45W figure
Samsung lists wired Super Fast Charging of up to 45W for the US Galaxy A37 support page. “Up to” is important: it is the phone’s stated maximum under compatible conditions, not a promise that every charger, cable, battery level or region will deliver 45W continuously.

USB Type-C is the charging connection
The Spain and Canada product specifications identify USB Type-C. A USB-C cable is consequently the correct physical connection for charging the A37. The connector shape alone does not establish the charging speed; use a charger and cable that Samsung or the local retailer identifies as compatible with the regional model.
Check the local specification before buying a charger
The 45W figure comes from Samsung’s US support page. Charging ratings, bundled accessories and compatibility can vary by market or model number. Before purchasing a replacement or spare charger, open the product page for your country and match its charging wording to the phone. A compatible USB-C wired charger is an optional accessory; a wireless pad is not a substitute for it.
Why charging may be slower than the headline number
The maximum rating describes a peak capability, while real charging changes as the battery fills and can be affected by the charger, cable, temperature and phone use. If the phone charges but does not reach the advertised maximum, first verify that the charger and cable meet the regional requirements and that the phone is the correct A37 variant. Samsung’s support page does not promise a constant 45W rate throughout a complete charge.
Expandable storage: can you insert a microSD card?
Samsung does not identify the Galaxy A37 as a microSD-expandable model. Its A-series overview lists the A37’s internal storage configurations, while separately naming the A17 and Tab A11+ as devices with microSD expansion. That distinction is the clearest indication that the A37 is intended to use its built-in storage.

Do not buy a card expecting native expansion
A microSD card cannot be treated as an A37 storage upgrade unless Samsung’s product page for your exact regional model explicitly says otherwise. The published A37 information does not provide such a slot or feature. Buying a card before confirming the model can leave you with storage media the phone cannot use in the way you expected.
Plan for files without a card slot
With no documented microSD expansion, storage management means selecting the right capacity initially, moving photos and videos to a computer or cloud service, and removing downloads you no longer need. Those methods can free space, but they do not turn the A37 into a phone with removable internal storage. If removable media is essential, choose a model whose official specifications clearly list microSD support.
A37 storage and memory configurations vary by region
Samsung publishes different combinations in different markets. The capacity printed on a retailer’s listing is therefore not enough by itself: check the country, model identifier and paired memory configuration.
| Samsung market page | Configurations shown | Additional detail |
|---|---|---|
| Spain | 128GB and 256GB storage | The selected 128GB listing shows 105.0GB available. |
| Canada | 128GB with 6GB memory; 256GB with 8GB memory | The page presents the two capacity-and-memory combinations for the Canadian model. |
The Spain figures appear on Samsung’s Galaxy A37 5G product page, while the Canadian combinations are listed in Samsung’s Canadian specifications. The 105.0GB figure demonstrates why advertised capacity and available capacity are not identical; always read the local listing rather than assuming every 128GB A37 has the same usable amount.

Storage and memory are different choices
Gigabytes of storage determine how much space is available for apps, photos, videos and downloads. Gigabytes of memory (RAM) affect how the phone keeps apps active. Samsung Canada pairs 128GB with 6GB of memory and 256GB with 8GB, but those pairings are regional specifications, not a universal rule for every A37 sold worldwide.
How to choose the right A37 before purchase
- Open the product page for your country. Confirm that the listing is the Galaxy A37 5G variant you intend to buy and note the model identifier, storage and memory combination.
- Decide between the listed capacities. If you keep large photo and video libraries, many offline downloads or numerous apps, favor the larger built-in option. If your usage is lighter and you regularly move files elsewhere, the smaller option may be sufficient.
- Check available capacity, not only the headline. Samsung’s Spain listing shows 105.0GB available on the selected 128GB model, so the number printed on the box is not the space you will see for personal files.
- Confirm charging language. Look for the local wording on wired Super Fast Charging and verify the USB Type-C connection. Treat the US “up to 45W” figure as a regional reference, not an automatic guarantee for every market.
- Budget for a wired charger if needed. If you need a spare, choose a compatible USB-C charger identified for the A37 and your region. Do not substitute a wireless pad when checking your accessory list.
- Make the storage decision before ordering. Since Samsung does not document microSD expansion for the A37, changing capacity later generally means replacing the phone rather than adding a card.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Confusing USB-C with wireless charging
USB Type-C describes the physical port. It does not imply that the phone can receive power through a charging mat. The A37’s documented charging method is wired through that port.
Assuming every A37 has the same 45W specification
Samsung’s US support page states up to 45W, while Samsung cautions that specifications can vary by region or model. Check the local page before buying a high-wattage charger or comparing the phone with another market’s listing.
Assuming every A37 has a card tray
Samsung’s A-series overview identifies expandable models separately from the A37. Unless the exact local specification explicitly says microSD, treat the A37 as fixed-storage hardware.

Reading “128GB” as available free space
The Spain page’s 128GB selection reports 105.0GB available. System software and the regional configuration account for the difference shown on the listing, so leave headroom for future apps and media.
Using RAM as a substitute for storage
The Canadian 6GB and 8GB memory choices do not add file space. Select storage and memory as separate parts of the configuration, and verify both before paying.
What this means for different buyers
- You already own a wireless pad: You will still need a USB-C cable and compatible wired charger for the A37.
- You routinely carry a microSD card between phones: The A37 is a poor fit unless you are willing to keep files on the phone’s internal storage or transfer them elsewhere.
- You are choosing between A37 listings: Compare country, model identifier, storage, memory and the stated charging rate instead of comparing color or retailer title alone.
- You need maximum flexibility: Prioritize the largest officially listed internal capacity, because Samsung does not document a later microSD upgrade for this model.
- You need removable storage or wireless charging as a requirement: Select a different model whose official regional specification explicitly includes those features.
Bottom line on the Galaxy A37
The Galaxy A37 is a wired-charging, fixed-storage phone. Samsung documents USB Type-C charging and up to 45W wired Super Fast Charging on its US support page, but not wireless charging or PowerShare. Samsung’s A-series information also does not list microSD expansion for the A37. Check your country’s listing, then buy the internal capacity and memory combination that matches your expected use.
