No—not for native 120Hz or 4K/120 gaming. A model-specific review reports a 60Hz native panel on the Insignia QF variants it examined, with no verified refresh rate above 60Hz at 4K. The review did observe 120Hz input modes at 1080p and 1440p on a PS5, but those are lower-resolution inputs, not proof of a native 120Hz panel. The available product listing also does not specify HDMI 2.1.
What the reviewed QF models support
Tech Steve’s review reports a native 60Hz refresh rate for the QF variants it examined and a maximum verified refresh rate of 60Hz at native 4K resolution. In its PS5 setup capability check, the review reports 4K HDR input from 48Hz to 60Hz, and 120Hz input capability at 1440p and 1080p. These are review observations, not independent lab certification.

A console accepting a 120Hz signal at 1080p or 1440p does not turn the TV’s physical panel into a native 120Hz display. Nor does it mean the set can display 4K at 120Hz. For gaming, treat the reviewed models as 60Hz TVs, including at 4K.

Does it have HDMI 2.1?
The Best Buy listing for the 55-inch QF, model NS55-UQFL26, identifies three high-speed HDMI inputs and one eARC input, but does not specify HDMI 2.1. Port count and eARC alone do not establish an HDMI version or confirm support for HDMI 2.1 gaming features. The available sources therefore do not verify HDMI 2.1 support for this model.

- 4K UltraHD Resolution: Experience incredible detail with 4X resolution of 1080p Full HD TVs.

When checking a particular set, use its exact model number and consult its current documentation for HDMI version and supported bandwidth or features. Do not assume that a specification for one QF size applies to every QF model.
What about VRR and gaming performance?
Tech Steve reports that VRR is not supported on the 2025 variants it verified. Keep that finding limited to those reviewed variants; it is not a statement about every Insignia TV. The reviewer describes the QF as better suited to casual 60Hz console gaming and everyday streaming than performance-focused gaming, and notes that Game mode appeared darker in the reviewer’s evaluation.

Check your exact QF model before buying
The QF name covers multiple sizes and model numbers. The cited 55-inch listing is the Insignia QF Series QLED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV, model NS55-UQFL26. Tech Steve’s review covers 55-, 65-, and 75-inch NS-UQFL26 variants and an 85-inch NS85-UQFL27. Check the label on your TV or the listing for your exact size before applying these findings to it.

For a gaming comparison, check four separate specifications for the exact model: native panel refresh rate, maximum refresh at 4K, HDMI version and supported features, and VRR support. A 120Hz input at reduced resolution is not a substitute for confirming native 120Hz or 4K/120 capability.
