Does Saints Row: The Third Remastered Mobile work offline?

Online co-op is different from offline campaign play. The store descriptions say the mobile edition supports online co-op with another player, so that mode necessarily needs an internet connection.
Can I play it without Wi-Fi after downloading it?
For ordinary solo play, the practical answer is yes, provided the installation and any available updates are complete. Use this preparation sequence:
- Install while connected. Download the app and all initial game data over Wi-Fi or a reliable mobile connection.
- Apply updates before travelling. A later patch may be required before the game starts, and updates cannot be obtained offline.
- Complete Android’s first launch online. Android’s stated requirement covers launching the game and downloading initial data, so do not wait until you are offline to perform those steps.
- Start the game once while connected. This gives the app an opportunity to finish setup and expose any device-compatibility or download prompt.
- Test your intended offline location. After setup, disable Wi-Fi and mobile data or use airplane mode, then start the campaign. If the app requests a connection, reconnect and check Feral’s current support instructions rather than repeatedly deleting data.
Offline play does not include online co-op, cloud-save synchronization, downloading updates or any other service that has to contact a server.

The available FAQ specifically says Android needs internet when launching the game and for initial data. It does not clearly state whether that check applies to every subsequent launch after setup. Do not promise that an Android device can open the game indefinitely offline; the release-day Feral support page needs to clarify the exact launch behavior.

Feral Interactive announced October 29, 2026 as the Android and iOS release date. The App Store also shows that date as expected. The mobile descriptions state that the campaign contains 47 missions. They also advertise touchscreen controls, gamepad support and online co-op. Those are product and listing details, not independent performance tests.

Does cloud save need internet?
Yes. The surfaced Square Enix support answer states: “An Internet connection is required on both Android and iOS to make use of the the cloud save functionality, but isn’t needed for regular gameplay.” The duplicated “the the” appears in the published sentence.
That page does not identify Saints Row: The Third Remastered Mobile by name, so apply it as the available platform guidance while waiting for Feral’s title-specific instructions. If you are travelling, do not assume that progress made offline has been uploaded until you reconnect and verify synchronization.
What is not yet documented?

Can I transfer my save from Android to iPhone?
Do not assume that an Android save can be moved to an iPhone. A separate Square Enix cloud-sync article says saves can transfer between Android devices or between iPhones, but not between Android and iOS or other platforms. That article does not expressly identify this Feral Saints Row port, so its rules are useful context, not confirmation for this game.

Until Feral documents the feature, treat these as separate questions:
- Android to Android: same-platform transfer is described in the generic cloud-sync guidance, but Saints Row-specific support remains unconfirmed.
- iPhone to iPhone: same-platform transfer is likewise described generically and still needs title-specific confirmation.
- Android to iPhone or iPhone to Android: no available Feral statement confirms cross-platform transfer; do not plan a device switch around it.
- Mobile to console or PC: the generic article does not establish such a transfer, and no cross-platform save promise is available.
Keep the original device intact until you have confirmed that a restored save appears on the replacement device. Avoid uninstalling the old copy merely because cloud synchronization appears enabled.

- Confirm that the phone or tablet meets the operating-system floor: Android 13 or later, or iOS 18 or later.
- Check the live store listing on the exact handset or tablet. Android purchase visibility can be wrong in rare device-identification cases, and Apple’s short compatibility summary differs from its detailed list.
- Reserve space for the app, initial data and updates. The current iOS listing is 17.6 GB, but the installed size can change.
- Install the game and complete Android’s first launch while online.
- Open the campaign and confirm that your controller, touch layout or—on Android—mouse and keyboard behaves as expected.
- Reconnect once before leaving if you want cloud-save synchronization, then verify that the latest progress has uploaded.
- Perform a short airplane-mode test before relying on the game in transit.

Cloud progress is missing
Reconnect on the same platform, allow synchronization to finish and avoid starting a new game that could overwrite the displayed slot. Because the title’s save frequency and recovery process are not yet published, contact Feral support rather than guessing at file locations or deleting the app.
Co-op will not connect
