Not yet, based on the latest official information available. Landfall describes PEAK’s console editions as still in development, while the currently listed release is the Steam/PC version. Landfall says the planned console versions will let players join the existing Steam community and other console platforms, but that is a future-feature statement rather than confirmation that PS5 players can connect today.
The official pages also do not confirm cross-progression or cross-save. A PS5 player should therefore treat progress transfer between PS5 and Steam as unknown until Landfall publishes specific details.

What the official status means
Landfall’s PEAK FAQ says, “We are currently working on bringing the game to consoles!” The same answer says PEAK “is going to be cross-platform,” meaning anyone who buys the console version will be able to play with the existing Steam community and with players on other console platforms.
Those sentences describe Landfall’s stated plan. They do not announce a completed PS5 edition, a release date, or an active console matchmaking service. The Steam store listing identifies the available release as a Steam game, released June 16, 2025. On the evidence currently published, there is no confirmed PS5 version that you can install and use for cross-play today.

Because console development status can change, check Landfall’s own announcement channels before making a purchase or planning a group session. A later announcement could add a date or clarify features that are currently unspecified.
How the planned cross-play is supposed to work
Landfall’s wording covers two connections: console-to-Steam play and console-to-console play. In practical terms, the stated plan would allow a person using a future console edition to join friends who own the Steam release, while also allowing players on supported console platforms to share sessions. It does not say that every console will necessarily launch at the same time, nor does it list a separate cross-play toggle, account system, or matchmaking method.
Planned compatibility versus live compatibility
Cross-play is often used to describe a capability that exists after a platform version launches. Here, the capability is described in a future-tense console FAQ. Until a PS5 build is released and Landfall confirms that the service is enabled, a PC player cannot reasonably assume that a PS5 friend can join a PEAK session.

The wording also does not establish whether cross-play will be on by default, whether players can opt out, or whether platform-specific restrictions will apply. Those are implementation details that require a later technical announcement. Do not treat the phrase “cross-platform” as a guarantee about party size, voice chat, invitations, or account linking beyond the basic promise that the platforms will be able to play together.

What a future PS5 player should verify
- That a PS5 version has an actual release notice rather than another development update.
- That the announcement explicitly includes Steam cross-play, not merely online multiplayer on PS5.
- That your intended console platform is included if Landfall names platforms individually.
- Whether a platform account, Landfall account, or other sign-in is required.
- Whether cross-play is available at launch or is scheduled for a later update.
These checks matter because a game can support online play on a console without allowing that console to connect to PC players.
What PEAK multiplayer offers on Steam now
The current Steam listing describes PEAK’s multiplayer as friends-only. A host can invite up to three other scouts through Steam, creating a four-player group. The listing also includes online co-op and offline single-player, so the existing release supports both cooperative sessions and solo play without an internet connection.

Playing with friends on PC
- Use the Steam release listed for PEAK and sign in to the Steam account that owns it.
- Start an online cooperative session and act as the host, or accept an invitation from a friend who is hosting.
- Use Steam’s invite function to add up to three other scouts to the group.
- Keep the party within the documented four-player limit.
The listing does not describe a public server browser or random matchmaking queue. If you are looking for a PS5 friend, the limitation is not a missing Steam setting: the console edition itself has not been confirmed as released in the cited official pages.
Playing alone
Offline single-player is a separate option from cross-play. You do not need a console version, a Steam friend invitation, or a cross-platform connection to use that mode. The listing and Landfall’s FAQ both identify offline solo play, making it the available choice for someone who wants to play without a group.

Does PEAK support cross-progression or cross-save?
There is no confirmed answer in the official pages cited here. Neither Landfall’s FAQ nor the Steam listing explains whether a save created on Steam would be available on PS5, or whether badges, cosmetics, unlocks, statistics, settings, or other account data would follow a player between platforms.
Cross-play and cross-progression are separate features. Cross-play concerns whether players on different platforms can enter the same session. Cross-progression concerns where a player’s personal progress is stored and whether it can be retrieved on another platform. A game may support one without supporting the other, so Landfall’s planned cross-platform statement cannot be used as evidence that saves will transfer.

Until Landfall publishes a cross-save policy, assume that buying a second platform version may not give you access to the first platform’s progress. That is a precaution, not a confirmed restriction. The safe conclusion is simply that transfer remains unconfirmed.

Questions a proper progression announcement would answer
A useful future announcement would identify the account that owns progression, explain whether one account can be linked to Steam and PS5, and list which items transfer. It should also say whether achievements are copied, whether purchases are platform-specific, and what happens when a player is offline. If those details are absent, “cross-platform” still does not answer the save question.

Can a PS5 player join a Steam friend today?
Not on the basis of the cited official information. Landfall says console versions are being worked on, and the Steam page describes the current release. There is therefore no documented, currently playable PS5 edition to connect to a Steam lobby.
If your group wants to play immediately, every participant needs access to the Steam release and the group must use the friends-only invitation model documented by the listing. If one participant has only a PS5, the practical option is to wait for a console release announcement rather than trying to solve the problem with Steam settings, a router change, or a different invitation method.

- Confirm that the announcement names PS5 if platforms are listed individually.
- Look for an explicit statement that console players can join Steam players, not only that the console version has online co-op.
- Search the same announcement for “cross-save,” “cross-progression,” account linking, or a platform-transfer policy.
- Check the store page for the edition you intend to buy and verify its online requirements, player limit, and release status.
This process prevents three common mistakes: confusing a development plan with a launch, confusing online multiplayer with cross-play, and confusing cross-play with shared progression.

“The game is already on PS5 because the FAQ says consoles.”
The FAQ says Landfall is working on bringing PEAK to consoles. That is a development statement, not proof of a released PS5 product.

“Cross-platform means my Steam save will appear automatically on PS5.”
No. The published statement addresses playing together. It does not describe save synchronization or ownership of progression.
“A four-player Steam party means four platforms are already supported.”
The four-player figure describes the current Steam friends-only group: one host and up to three invited scouts. It does not identify any console availability.
“If I can play solo offline, I can use the same save on every platform.”
Offline single-player and cross-platform save transfer are independent features. The official pages confirm the former and do not specify the latter.
Bottom line for PS5 buyers and Steam players
As of the official information checked October 13, 2026, PEAK’s PS5 edition is still described as in development. Landfall plans cross-play with the Steam community and other console platforms when console versions arrive, but no PS5 launch date or current PS5 session capability is confirmed. The existing Steam release supports friends-only online co-op for up to four players and offline solo play. Cross-progression and cross-save between PS5 and Steam remain unconfirmed, so do not promise that progress will transfer until Landfall publishes a specific policy.
