But the available evidence does not show that it gets players more kills or improves their scoreboards. RTINGS found its click latency comparable to other leading wireless mice, and one owner who used it for about 35 hours over a week noticed no practical difference in tactical shooters.
Which Logitech mouse is this?
The likely product behind the “latest esports mouse” claim is the Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE, announced on September 17, 2025. Logitech describes it as its first mouse with SUPERSTRIKE technology: inductive analog click sensing paired with real-time haptic feedback.

That is a change to the click mechanism and its feel, not a new way to aim. The mouse also offers adjustable actuation, so users can configure how far a click must travel to register. Tom’s Hardware describes the option to set a higher actuation point for a hair-trigger-like response; configuring the available settings requires Logitech software.
What does “clicks faster” actually mean?
The 30-millisecond claim
Logitech says SUPERSTRIKE can reduce click latency by up to 30 milliseconds. That is the manufacturer’s advertised maximum, not a promise that every player, game, or setup will see that reduction. It also does not mean the mouse reduces total in-game response time by 30 ms: the advertised figure concerns click latency, one part of a longer chain that includes the game and system.

Logitech’s September 17, 2025 launch blog says, “In esports every millisecond matters, the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE ensures you’re leading the pack with reduced click latency.” That is promotional language attached to a company performance claim, not evidence of a higher kill count.
The 8 kHz polling figure
Logitech advertises a maximum polling rate of 8,000 Hz. At that maximum, the mouse can report its state every 0.125 milliseconds. This report interval is not the same as total click-to-action latency, and neither figure by itself predicts aim, kills, or match results.

Does it outperform other top wireless mice on latency?
Not decisively in the independent evidence cited here. RTINGS’ review, updated March 31, 2026, describes the mouse as highly configurable and suitable for competitive play, but finds its click latency broadly in line with other leading wireless competitors—even at low actuation settings. That makes the configurable click system and haptic feel more clearly established distinctions than a proven latency lead over other good mice.
PC Gamer reported a Logitech testing comparison in which click latency differed from 14 ms to 3 ms between professional and non-professional gamers using the SUPERSTRIKE versus a standard mouse. Those numbers describe Logitech’s testing as relayed by PC Gamer, not a guaranteed improvement for an individual buyer. They should not be read as a before-and-after result for every player.

What happened to scoreboards after a week?
There is no controlled before-and-after scoreboard test in the cited sources, so there is no substantiated score change to report. One Reddit poster’s review, explicitly based on roughly seven days and 35 hours of use, says they noticed no practical difference in tactical shooters. That is a single person’s account, not a representative test or proof that nobody will benefit.
A mouse can make a click feel quicker or more predictable without changing the decisions that usually shape a match: crosshair placement, timing, movement, positioning, and practice. Even a real reduction in click latency would only affect moments where click timing matters, and the available evidence does not isolate that effect from everything else happening in a game.

Who might value the SUPERSTRIKE system?
- Players who care about click feel: Adjustable actuation and haptic feedback may be appealing if you want to tune how a click registers and feels.
- Players who want a proven scoreboard boost: The available reviews and owner account do not establish that buying it increases kills or improves rank.
- Players comparing competitive wireless mice: Consider independent latency findings alongside shape, comfort, click feel, actuation and reset behavior, and the games you play; the maximum polling figure alone is not enough to choose.
- Players who prefer minimal setup: The settings described in Tom’s Hardware’s review require Logitech software configuration, so include that setup in your decision.
What the evidence supports
The PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE is a configurable gaming mouse with a distinctive inductive click-sensing and haptic system. Logitech advertises up to 30 ms lower click latency and up to 8 kHz polling, but neither claim establishes more kills. RTINGS’ comparison does not show a decisive click-latency advantage over other leading wireless competitors, and the one week-long owner account reported no practical tactical-shooter difference. A scoreboard improvement remains unproven.
