Yes. Playground Games confirms that Forza Horizon 6 supports cross-play between Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam. However, the PS5 version is listed as coming later in 2026; the official game page currently lists Xbox Series X|S and PC via Microsoft Store and Steam as playable.
Which platforms can play together?
Playground Games names four platforms for cross-play: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam. That confirms cross-platform play across those platforms, including between Xbox and PlayStation and between Steam and Xbox on PC.

Platform support does not mean every version is available at the same time. The official game page currently says the game is playable on Xbox Series X|S and PC through the Microsoft Store and Steam, with PS5 coming later in 2026. A May 22, 2026 Playground Games update likewise described PS5 as upcoming. The page gives no exact PS5 release date, so check it for the latest timing.

No. Cross-play lets people on different platforms play together; cross-save carries progress between platforms. Playground Games confirms both features for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PS5, and Steam in its feature announcement. The statement confirms cross-save support, but does not detail setup steps or account requirements.

What carries between Xbox and PC?
For a digital purchase on Xbox Series X|S or through the Microsoft Store on Windows PC, the announcement says Xbox Play Anywhere carries the save profile and DLC entitlements between those devices without buying them again. The announcement’s purchase-entitlement statement does not include Steam. It also does not establish that DLC entitlements carry to PS5 or between every storefront.
What can you do with friends?
The official game page lists multiplayer activities including co-op LINK skills, Spec Racing Championships, The Eliminator, Hide & Seek, Car Meets, and multiplayer CoLab event building. It does not specify that every activity uses identical matchmaking rules.
