What the listing does not specify
The feature badge does not identify which save files will sync, how many characters or profiles are covered, whether settings and replays are included, or how conflicts will be presented after playing on two computers. Those details are not published on the current product listing. Cloud support therefore should be treated as a convenience and a transport mechanism, not as a replacement for an independent backup of valuable saves.
A safer first-use workflow
- Install the game while connected to Steam.
- Before playing on multiple computers, open the game’s Steam Library properties and confirm that the Steam Cloud option is enabled. The exact wording can vary with Steam client updates.
- Start the game once, create or reach a save, exit normally, and leave Steam open long enough for synchronization to finish.
- On a second computer, wait for Steam to finish syncing before launching. If Steam presents a conflict, read the timestamps and choose deliberately rather than clicking through immediately.
- Keep a local copy of important saves when the game exposes them as ordinary files. The store listing confirms the cloud feature, but it does not promise retention after every file-level error, account change or manual deletion.

Why the two signals can both appear
A broadband requirement can cover downloading the game, receiving updates, signing in, validating ownership, synchronizing Steam Cloud or accessing online features. It does not necessarily mean that every minute of an installed single-player session needs a live connection. Conversely, a database flag for single-player does not override the developer’s published requirements or guarantee that a future build will behave the same way.

Prepare before leaving an internet connection

What may still require a connection
- Downloading the initial installation or a later update.

Will Amazing Slot Survivor work on Steam Deck?
SteamDB currently marks the game Playable on Steam Deck and reports that the default controller configuration functionality is accessible. That is encouraging for handheld play, especially because the developer already recommends a controller. It is not the same as a final “Verified” guarantee, and the game has not released yet.
Using the Deck’s built-in controls
The SteamDB entry indicates that the default configuration can be accessed, so the Deck’s integrated controls should be the first setup to try. Install and update the game while online, launch it from Gaming Mode, and check that the on-screen prompts correspond to the controls you press. If the game displays keyboard prompts, open the controller layout from the Steam overlay and select the default community or official layout available for that build.

External Bluetooth or USB controllers
SteamDB specifically cautions that external Bluetooth or USB controllers may require manual switching. In practice, that means the Deck can recognize both its built-in controls and an external pad, but the active input source may not change automatically. - Connect or pair the external controller before launching the game.
- Open the Steam overlay and inspect the controller layout or input-device selection.
- Switch the active configuration to the external pad, then return to the game.
- If the Deck still uses its own controls, close the game, disconnect the unused device, reconnect the preferred controller and launch again.
These steps address the switching caveat; they do not expand the official compatibility list beyond the Xbox-controller category named on Steam.
Release timing matters
Steam lists November 12, 2026 as the planned release date. Until that date, store badges, requirements, SteamDB metadata and the game’s actual behavior should be treated as subject to change. A developer can revise controller mappings, change the network requirement, alter cloud-save implementation or improve Deck compatibility between the current listing and launch.
For that reason, a purchase decision based on offline play should be revisited when the game is released. The strongest current evidence is the combination of Steam’s full-controller and Steam Cloud labels with SteamDB’s Playable and single-player metadata; the strongest caution is Steam’s broadband requirement.
