What the developer reported
Wesley Paugh’s developer update, published October 1, 2025, says: “Nearly 100 players got their hands on the newly minted gamepad support for 100 Rogues, entering the Bandit Hole and learning the basics of combat.” This is first-party evidence that gamepad support existed by that date.

The “nearly 100 players” figure is the developer’s report about people trying the feature at ROC Game Fest. It is not a controlled usability study, a survey of the whole player base, or proof that every controller model works equally well.
What Steam metadata says
SteamDB lists 100 Rogues as having full controller support. Its hardware categories specifically list DualShock controllers with a USB-only note. That is useful confirmation that at least one recognized controller family is represented in the metadata, but it is not a complete device-compatibility table.
Neither record establishes support for every Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Bluetooth, wired, or third-party controller. It also does not tell us whether a particular device uses native gamepad handling, Steam Input, or a mixture of both. The safe conclusion is that controller play is an intended supported mode, while exact model coverage still needs to be checked on your own hardware.

Is a controller required?
No available listing says that a controller is required. The documented support means a compatible gamepad is an option; it does not establish that keyboard and mouse controls are absent or inferior. Because no control-scheme comparison was provided, do not assume that one input method has a performance advantage.
Steam Achievements: yes, but the list is not documented here
SteamDB lists Steam Achievements for 100 Rogues. That confirms the game is set up to expose achievements through Steam’s achievement system.
The available records do not state how many achievements exist, what they are called, whether any are hidden, or what unlock conditions they use. Avoid treating an unverified number from a search snippet or community post as authoritative. The live Steam store page and the game’s Steam community or profile pages are the places to check for a current count once the listing is populated.

Achievement support also does not imply that every unlock will appear immediately in every situation. Steam achievement behavior can depend on the client being connected and the game successfully reporting the event. If an achievement does not appear, first allow the game and Steam client to finish synchronizing before assuming the unlock was lost.

Steam Cloud is the one feature that cannot be answered with a reliable “yes” or “no” from the checked records. SteamDB’s returned feature categories do not include Steam Cloud, and the retrieved Steam store text does not mention cloud saves.
An omitted feature label is not proof that cloud synchronization is disabled. Store metadata can be incomplete, and feature records can change as a game approaches or passes release. The precise wording to use is therefore “Steam Cloud support has not been confirmed by the checked listings.”

What this means for your saves
Until the live Steam client or store page explicitly shows Steam Cloud, assume that saves may remain local to the computer on which they were created. That is a precaution, not a claim that cloud saves are impossible.
- Do not rely on a new installation or a second computer automatically receiving your progress.
- Before changing computers, reinstalling the operating system, or deleting the game, make a manual backup if you can identify the game’s save folder.
- After launch, look for a Steam Cloud indicator on the game’s library page or in the game’s Properties dialog. If Steam shows a conflict or synchronization status, read it before selecting a version to keep.
- Keep the original backup until you have opened the game and confirmed that your progress is present.
The available evidence does not identify the save-file path, so do not copy a path from another game as though it were verified for 100 Rogues.

Those statements cannot both describe the same moment accurately. A planned date can remain in old indexed text after a schedule changes, and third-party metadata can reflect a date that is later revised. Since the current date is October 17, 2026, the only dependable way to settle availability is to open the live Steam store page and check whether the purchase or install controls are active.
How to interpret the live page
- If the page offers a normal purchase or install action, the game is available through that listing.
- If it still shows a planned date, wishlist option, or “not yet available” message, the release has not reached the store state shown to you.
- If the page and your Steam client disagree, refresh the client, sign out and back in if necessary, and check the store page in a browser. Regional availability or caching can produce different displays.
How to verify the features in Steam
Feature labels can change, so these checks are more useful than relying on an old search result.
- Open the current 100 Rogues store page in Steam.

Because no complete tested-device matrix is available, a problem with a particular Bluetooth adapter, cable, or third-party pad should be treated as a device-specific issue until the developer documents broader compatibility.
