How does it relate to the live-action Doctor Who series?
The confirmed distinction is audience and format: TARDIS Crew is a CBeebies preschool animation with short episodes. The first-look announcement does not identify the Doctor as a particular numbered live-action incarnation or explain a connection to the current live-action storyline. It also does not name voice actors or include a trailer, so those details remain unannounced.
