Yes, generally. If a viewer bought a Super Chat during the original livestream and Google confirms the transaction, seeing that message later in the livestream’s chat replay does not itself cancel the purchase. That conclusion follows from YouTube’s guidance on chat replay and refunds; YouTube does not state a replay-specific accounting rule in those exact terms. A replay is also not a new live-chat session, so viewers watching an ordinary archive cannot send new Super Chats through its archived chat.
What a Super Chat in a replay represents
Live chat replay shows the conversation as it appeared while the stream was live. A Super Chat visible there is therefore a record of an earlier paid chat event, not evidence that someone watching the archive has just paid. YouTube says live chat is unavailable after a livestream ends; the replay preserves the past conversation rather than reopening it. YouTube’s live chat moderation guidance and its overview of live streams explain this distinction.

Can someone send a new Super Chat while watching the replay?
Not through the archived chat on an ordinary replay. The chat shown alongside the video is historical, not an active live chat. A new Super Chat requires an eligible, enabled feature in an active live chat.
How the creator’s share is calculated
YouTube’s current published guidance says creators receive 70% of Supers revenue confirmed by Google. The calculation is after local sales tax and iOS App Store fees; YouTube says it currently covers transaction costs such as credit-card fees. The confirmation condition matters: a message appearing in a replay is not, by itself, proof of the amount ultimately confirmed or payable. See YouTube’s Super Chat and Super Stickers guidance. This figure is YouTube’s general guidance, not a guarantee about every individual transaction or a replacement for the terms in a creator’s account agreement.

Gross payment and creator revenue are not the same figure
The viewer’s purchase amount is not necessarily the creator’s share. YouTube describes the 70% share as applying after the stated deductions, and only to Supers revenue confirmed by Google. Do not calculate an individual payout from the replay message alone.
How to verify the revenue in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Analytics.
- Open the Revenue tab, then select How you make money to find the Supers reporting information described by YouTube.
- For the revenue-share terms that apply to your account, review your agreements in Studio. YouTube’s Partner earnings overview notes that account-specific terms are set out in the applicable agreement.
Use the account’s reporting and agreement to assess a particular payment; chat replay is a record of the live conversation, not a payout statement.

Does deleting the message reverse the payment?
No. YouTube states: “Deleting a Super Chat message post-live stream will not result in a refund.” Removing a message from view does not itself erase or reverse its payment. YouTube Help: Moderate live chat.

Being able to see a Super Chat in a replay does not establish that every channel is eligible to earn from Supers. YouTube says creators must accept the Commerce Product Module and turn on the individual fan-funding features. Separately, keeping a YouTube stream running
Super Chat accounting is separate from the way a stream is hosted. If you want to keep uploaded videos playing as a 24/7 YouTube stream, StreamNeo is a cloud service that loops uploaded videos after you add your YouTube stream key; your computer does not need to stay on. It supports uploaded video at its original quality up to 4K 60fps, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos, not a live camera feed.
The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. To try it, start a StreamNeo free day.
