How to complete Ghost Hunt, step by step
- Enter the Haunted Floating Festival. Travel to the temporary festival area while the event is active.
- Go inside the Haunted House. The camera needed to begin the hunt is in the first room.
- Interact with the sparkling disposable camera. This activates the Ghost Hunt objective. You do not need to own or equip a separate camera item.
- Search the festival grounds. Look for the event ghosts throughout the grounds and approach each one closely enough to frame it with the game’s camera.
- Take a picture of each ghost. A successful photograph makes that ghost disappear. If it remains, the game has not counted that attempt as one of the ten.
- Repeat until all 10 ghosts are photographed. You may work through them in any order; the requirement is the total number of successful photos.
- Collect the reward pouch. It normally appears near the last ghost you photographed. If it is not there, use the troubleshooting checks below before assuming the reward is lost.
Does the order of photographs matter?
No order-dependent result has been documented. You can start with whichever ghost you see first, move between areas, or return to a location later. The game tracks whether each ghost has been successfully photographed, not a prescribed route through the festival.

A practical route can still make the hunt easier. Work systematically through the festival grounds, note which areas you have checked, and avoid repeatedly searching a location after its ghost has already vanished. This is a navigation strategy, not a hidden puzzle rule: changing the sequence cannot produce a different furniture item or alternate ending.
How to tell whether a photograph counted
The clearest confirmation is that the photographed ghost disappears. Treat a ghost that remains visible as unfinished and try the camera again from a closer or clearer angle. Do not count a camera shutter sound alone as proof that the objective advanced; the disappearance is the useful in-game feedback.
What happens after the tenth ghost?
Completing the tenth successful photograph finishes the hunt and makes the reward available. The reward is a placeable Ghost furniture item. It is not a selection among several prizes, and the sequence in which you found the ghosts does not change it.

The pouch generally appears near the final ghost. Its exact position can vary, so check the surrounding ground and nearby objects rather than expecting it to land on one fixed tile. Pick up the pouch through the normal interaction prompt, then find the Ghost item in your furniture inventory for placement in your valley or another eligible decorating area.

A missing pouch does not necessarily mean that a choice was wrong. Two ordinary explanations are possible: the final photograph did not register, or the pouch spawned somewhere other than the spot you expected.
First check: confirm the hunt is complete
- Revisit the area where you took the last photograph.
- Look for a ghost that did not disappear; a remaining ghost indicates that its photo was not counted.
- Take another successful picture of any remaining ghost and wait for it to vanish.
- Search immediately around the last ghost’s location, including behind structures and along the edges of the area.
Second check: search the main valley
The community wiki reports a bug in which the reward pouch can appear in a random biome in the main valley instead of inside the Haunted Floating Festival. If the tenth ghost is gone and the pouch is absent from the event grounds, inspect every main-valley biome you have unlocked. The spawn is not tied to a player decision; it is a location error.

Third check: reload and search again
If you have verified all ten disappearances, checked the final-ghost area, and searched the main valley, leave and re-enter the relevant area or reload your game before searching once more. Keep track of which biomes you have checked so that a second pass covers different ground rather than repeating one corner.

Gameloft’s published schedule places the Haunted Floating Festival from October 7 through October 31, 2026. Ghost Hunt unlocks on October 18, 2026, so the festival can be present before this particular activity becomes available. The hunt is tied to that event window; it is not described as a permanently available valley quest.
If you cannot interact with the disposable camera before October 18, that timing is the most likely explanation. After October 31, availability may depend on how the game handles the event in your edition or platform, and the published schedule does not promise an ongoing version of the hunt.

Common mistakes and their fixes
Looking for a dialogue answer
There is no documented dialogue-answer screen for Ghost Hunt. Stop searching character conversations for a hidden “correct” response and return to the Haunted House camera and festival grounds.
Using a real camera or another accessory
The disposable camera in the first room is the relevant item, and the game’s built-in camera performs the photography. A phone, console camera, webcam, or other physical device cannot substitute for the in-game action.
Assuming the first visible ghost must be photographed first
The first ghost you encounter is not a key. Photograph it when convenient, then continue searching. No documented mechanic awards a bonus for a particular sequence.

Counting an unsuccessful shot
Only a successful photograph that makes the ghost disappear advances the objective. If the ghost stays, adjust your position, ensure it is in the camera view, and try again.
Expecting the pouch at a fixed coordinate
The pouch normally appears near the final ghost, but the reported bug can move it to a random main-valley biome. Search by completion status first, then by location.
A reliable completion checklist
- Festival access confirmed during the published event period.
- Haunted House entered.
- Sparkling disposable camera activated in the first room.
- Ten ghosts photographed successfully.
- Each counted ghost disappeared after its picture.
- Final-ghost area searched for the pouch.
- All main-valley biomes checked if the pouch is missing.
- Ghost furniture item collected and visible in the furniture inventory.
The answer in practical terms
Ghost Hunt is a completion hunt, not a branching puzzle. You cannot lock yourself out of the intended reward by selecting the wrong response or photographing ghosts in the wrong order. Activate the camera, make all ten ghosts disappear, and follow the pouch-spawn checks if the reward does not appear where expected.
