Identify those four details before following any instruction.
The clearest documented examples are game-specific: Disgaea 5 Complete on Nintendo Switch has a Trophy collector and a community-described item-use leveling method; Disgaea D2 has its own historical trophy checklist; and references for Disgaea 6 and Disgaea 7 describe different Cheat Shop unlock timing. Use the sections below as a verified starting point, not as a universal code sheet.

What “cheats,” “codes” and “achievements” mean in Disgaea
Disgaea uses several systems that are easy to confuse:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Cheat Shop modifiers: in-game settings that redistribute or adjust elements such as experience. They are part of the game’s progression systems, not external controller button codes.
- Community techniques: player-discovered routines, such as repeatedly using items to fill a character’s experience gauge in Disgaea 5 Complete.
- Achievements and trophies: completion records tied to a particular entry and platform. Some are visible through an in-game collector; others are presented by the console platform.
- Unlockables: episodes, classes, characters, items or features that open after a stated condition. A condition in one Disgaea game should never be copied into another without confirmation.
The available references do not establish a reliable universal button-code list for the franchise. If a page presents one code as working in every Disgaea release, treat that claim as unverified until it names the game, version and platform.

Identify your exact game before using a guide
Write down the information shown on your title screen or store page. “Disgaea 5” and “Disgaea 5 Complete” are not interchangeable labels, and a Switch release may not share instructions with a PlayStation or PC port.
| Detail to record | Why it changes the answer |
|---|---|
| Entry and subtitle | Disgaea D2, Disgaea 5 Complete, Disgaea 6 and Disgaea 7 use different systems and requirements. |
| Edition | A Complete or bundled edition can include DLC, balance changes or a different achievement presentation. |
| Platform | Console trophies, platform achievements and in-game trackers are separate systems. |
| Region | Store listings, release dates and DLC availability can differ between regions. |
| Patch or release state | A current update may alter menus or content compared with an older checklist. |
Keep those labels beside every note you make. This simple habit prevents a Disgaea D2 trophy requirement from being mistaken for a Disgaea 7 objective.
Cheat Shop information by entry
The Cheat Shop is the most consistently documented “cheat” feature, but its availability and settings are entry-specific. The following table separates the examples that have been reported from conclusions that have not been established.
| Game | What is reported | Evidence and limits |
|---|---|---|
| Disgaea 6 | The Cheat Shop starts unlocked. | This comes from a fan-maintained Disgaea Wiki reference. Confirm the behavior in your edition before relying on it. |
| Disgaea 7 | The Cheat Shop is unlocked through an initial Dark Assembly bill after the Dark Assembly becomes available in Episode 2. | Also a secondary fan reference; the exact edition and current patch should be checked in-game. |
| Disgaea 5 Complete | Players can raise the Cheat Shop EXP gauge. A community tip combines that setting with item use and an EXP bill. | GameFAQs contributors describe the method for the Nintendo Switch release. It is not a franchise-wide rule or an official developer procedure. |
Nothing in these references proves that Cheat Shop settings disable trophies, work identically across ports, or exist in every numbered entry. Do not assume any of those outcomes.

How to use a Cheat Shop instruction safely
- Confirm that the guide names your exact entry, edition and platform.
- Open the in-game menu and verify that the stated shop or bill is present before spending resources.
- Read the setting’s current description and note what it changes; do not infer effects from a different game.
- Make a separate save before experimenting if your version offers multiple save slots.
- Check the game’s own trophy or achievement screen afterward rather than assuming the action counted.
Disgaea 5 Complete: trophies, leveling tip and unlock examples
GameFAQs lists Disgaea 5 Complete as a Nintendo Switch game released May 23, 2017, developed by Nippon Ichi Software and published by NIS America. The page calls the achievements “trophies” in the game itself.
Where to view the in-game trophy list
Speak with the Trophy collector. The collector is positioned between the Data collector and Memories collector. This is an in-game viewing location; it should not be confused with the Nintendo Switch system’s own profile or any platform-level record.
Community “Easy Level Up” method
GameFAQs contributors describe a method based on repeatedly using items on a character. Their notes say that raising the Cheat Shop EXP gauge reduces the number of item uses needed, and they mention passing an EXP bill. The same instructions recommend Unopened Sodas as part of the setup. Because this is user-contributed guidance, verify the menu names and results on your installed version.
- Open the Cheat Shop and inspect the EXP gauge available in your copy.
- Raise the gauge only if its description and your available resources match the guide’s assumptions.
- Use items repeatedly on the target character, watching the experience gauge after each use.
- Consider the EXP bill described by the guide, confirming its cost and effect in your Dark Assembly.
- Use Unopened Sodas only if they are present in your version and the item description matches the tip.
The source does not provide a universal number of uses, a guaranteed level outcome, or a promise that the routine works on another platform. Treat it as a Disgaea 5 Complete technique, not a code.

Examples of Disgaea 5 Complete unlock conditions
The same checklist includes story and class-related unlockables. It identifies the first alliance trophy as a reward for clearing Episode 1 and lists “Vengeance Complete” for obtaining the other trophies. It also records item- and enemy-based class unlock conditions. Those requirements belong to this game and edition; the checklist does not establish equivalent conditions in Disgaea 6 or Disgaea 7.
Disgaea D2: historical trophy and collection checklist
A Prima eGuide checklist hosted by NIS America records requirements for Disgaea D2. It is a historical guide, so use it for the D2 release it covers rather than as a current series standard.
| D2 checklist item | Recorded condition or note |
|---|---|
| Cheat Shop trophy | Use the Cheat Shop 10 times. |
| Jump trophy | Jump 1,000 times. |
| Combo trophy | Perform 100 Combos. |
| Collection trophy | Collect all save icons. |
| Item Hoarder | Complete the special item list at Paparazzi’s Data Shop. |
| Special Voyeur | Complete the special skill list at Paparazzi’s Data Shop. |
| Platinum progress | Defeat Tyrant Overlord before completing the platinum trophy requirements. |
These numbers are trophy criteria for Disgaea D2, not statistics about the player base and not targets that carry into other entries. If your guide says “use the Cheat Shop 10 times,” check that it explicitly says Disgaea D2.

Nintendo’s United States store lists a digital Disgaea 7 Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch. A SEGA Asia/Nippon Ichi Software product page lists Disgaea 7 Complete Edition for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch with a January 30, 2025 regional release date. That page distinguishes free update content from paid story and character DLC. It also states that the digital deluxe edition stopped being sold on May 14, 2025. Because those dates and sales conditions are regional, check the current store for your country and platform before buying or following a DLC-based unlock guide.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to verify a code, exploit or unlock claim
Use this short verification process whenever a forum post or video gives you a new instruction:
- Read the heading, not just the body. Confirm that the entry, subtitle and platform match your game.
- Separate system type. Mark the instruction as a Cheat Shop modifier, Dark Assembly bill, leveling routine, story clear or trophy condition.
- Check edition and region. Complete editions and regional storefronts can package content differently.
- Look for a direct in-game confirmation. A new bill, menu entry, class or trophy progress marker is stronger evidence than a copied list.
- Record the result. Note the date, patch and save file so you can identify a version-specific discrepancy.
Do not treat a fan-maintained wiki or community checklist as an official guarantee. Such pages are useful leads, but they may contain platform labels, historical terminology or instructions contributed by players.

Common reasons a Disgaea cheat or unlock does not work
The menu or bill is missing
You may be reading instructions for another entry or be too early in the story. For the Disgaea 7 example above, the reported Cheat Shop route begins only after the Dark Assembly becomes available in Episode 2. Confirm both the episode and edition before searching for a missing option.
Best Value
The trophy did not appear
Check whether the requirement belongs to an in-game tracker or a platform trophy list. In Disgaea 5 Complete, the Trophy collector is the in-game viewing point; a console-level record is a separate layer. Also verify that you performed the condition in the correct game and on the correct save.
A leveling routine gives different results
The Disgaea 5 Complete item-use method depends on the Cheat Shop EXP gauge, the EXP bill and the items available in your copy. If one of those elements is absent or has a different description, stop and re-check the platform and patch rather than assuming the routine is broken.
A DLC-related unlock is unavailable
Compare your region and edition with the guide. Disgaea 7 Complete listings separate free updates from paid story and character content, and the availability of a digital deluxe listing has changed over time.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesA practical tracking sheet for completionists
Create one row for every target and include these fields:
- Game, subtitle, platform and region.
- Edition and installed patch.
- Exact requirement, copied in your own words.
- Whether it is a story unlock, class condition, Cheat Shop action, item routine or trophy.
- Where progress is confirmed: Trophy collector, Dark Assembly, a class menu or the platform profile.
- Date completed and save slot used.
This format prevents two frequent mistakes: counting a similar-looking requirement from another Disgaea entry, and assuming that an in-game trophy tracker is identical to a console achievement record.
Bottom line for Disgaea cheats and achievements
Use the exact game and platform as your filter. The documented examples show why: Disgaea 6 and Disgaea 7 have different reported Cheat Shop timing, Disgaea 5 Complete has a platform-labeled leveling tip and Trophy collector, and Disgaea D2 has its own numeric checklist. There is no evidence here for a universal code list, cross-entry trophy rule or blanket claim that Cheat Shop use changes achievement eligibility.
