A July 29, 2026 deal report said Amazon was selling the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo for $989, $110 below the $1,099 list price cited in that report. That supports a dated claim of savings over $100, but it does not verify a live October 7 offer or establish that the price was a Prime Day deal.
What price was actually reported?
Mashable, in a report republished by Yahoo Tech on July 29, 2026, listed the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo at Amazon for $989 against a stated $1,099 list price—a difference of $110. The publisher described it as the lowest price it had seen at Amazon at that time. Read the July 29 deal report.

That is evidence for an Amazon price observed on that date, not a confirmed price on October 7, 2026. Nor does the report establish an all-retailer or all-time record: “best-ever” describes the deal publisher’s Amazon-specific observation, not an independently verified price history.

The available event-date reporting conflicts: one Tom’s Guide result gives October 6–7, while another says the event ended October 5. Those accounts do not establish a reliable event window, and the July 29 drone deal report does not connect its price to an October Prime event. The evidence therefore cannot confirm that the $989 offer was live during October Prime Big Deal Days.

Which Mini 5 Pro configuration was on sale?
The reported offer was for the Fly More Combo, not simply the base drone. DJI lists multiple Fly More configurations, including versions with the DJI RC-N3 or DJI RC 2 controller. DJI’s product page is for its Singapore storefront, so use it to identify product features—not to infer US availability or pricing. See DJI’s official Mini 5 Pro product listing.
Before comparing a bundle with the base drone or another listing, check what the specific offer includes. Relevant differences include the controller, battery count and type, charging accessories, filters, and carrying items. A lower headline price may reflect a different kit rather than a better price for the same package.

What does the Mini 5 Pro offer?
DJI’s product listing describes a 1-inch CMOS camera, true vertical shooting, 225-degree gimbal rotation, ActiveTrack 360, and what DJI calls “Nightscape Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing.” These are manufacturer-stated features, not independent test findings.
DJI claims up to 36 minutes of flight time with the Intelligent Flight Battery and up to 52 minutes with the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus. Those are DJI figures; they should not be treated as guaranteed flight time in every use condition.

How to judge a current offer
- Confirm the live price and date. Check the retailer’s current listing before treating the historical $989 report as available now.
- Match the bundle. Confirm that the listing is the Fly More Combo and note whether it includes the RC-N3 or RC 2 controller.
- Compare the included kit. Check battery type and quantity, charging gear, filters, and carrying accessories against the package you want.
- Compare like with like. Only call a price a saving against a reference price when the product configuration and reference price are clear; do not treat one retailer’s dated low as proof of an all-time record.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
