The closest confirmed match is Galaxy’s GOFR lending program, which Galaxy said would receive up to $100 million of its own capital as first-loss protection. A separate Coinshift product, csUSDL, reported more than $100 million in TVL in 2025 and listed GSR as a liquidity provider—not as its operator.
Did GSR announce a $100 million onchain credit vault?
GSR’s official 2026 outlook discusses its direction and expansion priorities, while its March 2026 announcement concerns its acquisition of Autonomous and Architech. Neither announcement describes a newly launched GSR vault business backed by $100 million of onchain credit. The reviewed announcements therefore do not substantiate the claim in the headline; that is not proof that no later or unindexed announcement exists.

GSR said the acquisitions were worth $57 million and would support tokenized-organization services, launch operations, financial infrastructure and advisory. Those capabilities are not evidence of a credit-vault launch. Read GSR’s acquisition announcement.
What is the verified $100 million onchain-credit announcement?
Galaxy announced GOFR on July 14, 2026, describing it as a managed lending program that connects institutional clients to onchain credit markets through Galaxy. Galaxy said it would commit up to $100 million of its own capital as first-loss protection. That figure describes a risk-protection commitment, not the vault’s TVL or the total amount of loans outstanding. Read Galaxy’s GOFR announcement.

How GOFR is described
Clients borrow from Galaxy at a single optimized rate, with a minimum loan size of $1 million. Galaxy sources and rebalances financing across protocols including Aave, Morpho, Spark and Kamino. In the arrangement described by Galaxy, the borrower’s counterparty is Galaxy; the service is aimed at institutional clients.
How does GOFR differ from Coinshift’s csUSDL?
Coinshift announced csUSDL in May 2025, describing a product that combines U.S. Treasury bill returns with onchain lending through Morpho. The announcement reported more than $100 million in TVL at that time. It listed GSR among the liquidity providers, but identifies Coinshift—not GSR—as the announcer; it does not establish GSR as the product operator. The reported TVL is a dated announcement figure, not a current value. Read Coinshift’s csUSDL announcement.
| Offering | Operator or announcer | What the $100 million refers to | Structure described |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alleged GSR vault | Not verified in the reviewed official GSR announcements | Not established | No launch or operating structure established by those announcements |
| GOFR | Galaxy | Up to $100 million of Galaxy capital committed as first-loss protection | Managed institutional lending; Galaxy is the borrower’s counterparty |
| csUSDL | Coinshift announcement; GSR listed as a liquidity provider | More than $100 million in TVL reported in May 2025 | Treasury bill returns combined with Morpho lending |
Why the distinction matters
First-loss protection and TVL describe different things. Galaxy’s stated commitment is capital intended to absorb losses first under the described lending arrangement; it is not a measure of deposits or assets held in a vault. Coinshift’s TVL figure, by contrast, described the value reported for csUSDL when Coinshift made its 2025 announcement. Neither figure establishes that GSR itself launched a $100 million credit vault.

For readers assessing the claim, the key questions are who operates the product, who faces the borrower, and whether a quoted amount is protective capital, TVL or outstanding loans. On the available announcements, the $100 million onchain-credit story belongs to Galaxy’s GOFR, while the separate csUSDL figure belongs to Coinshift’s product announcement.
