Installation: window exhaust is part of the system
A portable air conditioner must discharge hot air outside. The manual includes a window slider kit and exhaust instructions; it says to size the panels to the window and avoid gaps or air pockets. A poor seal can let outdoor heat back into the room and reduce the benefit of cooling, regardless of the appliance’s capacity rating. - Choose a position that can reach a suitable power outlet with the listed 150 cm cord without using an unsafe extension arrangement.
- Leave the clearances specified in the manual around the air inlets and outlet. Do not press the cabinet against curtains, furniture or a wall that blocks airflow.
- Check that the window can accept the supplied slider arrangement and that the exhaust hose can run without sharp kinks.
- Keep the unit on a stable, level surface where condensate can be handled if drainage is required.
Fit the window slider and hose
- Measure the opening and adjust the slider panels to span it, following the manual’s window-kit section.
- Close remaining openings around the panels. The manual specifically warns against gaps or air pockets; weather-stripping or another reversible seal may be needed, provided it does not prevent safe window operation.
- Connect the exhaust hose to the appliance and the window adapter as shown in the manual.
