What the PAC EM82K offers
De’Longhi’s specification sheet describes a portable unit with cooling, fan and dehumidifying modes, three fan speeds, a thermostat, remote control and a 24-hour timer. Handles and castors help with repositioning; continuous drainage is also listed. The sheet states that a window kit and 1.25 m exhaust hose are included, though the exact contents and fitting instructions should be checked for the regional model being sold.

The manufacturer lists an energy class of A, an EER of 2.6 and input power of 1,000 W. These are published specifications, not independent measurements. The sheet gives R290 as the refrigerant. De’Longhi’s support center provides model documentation; select the documentation for the exact model and market.
How big a room can it cool?
De’Longhi gives room guidance of up to 80 m³. That is a volume, not a floor-area figure: at an assumed 2.4 m ceiling height, 80 m³ corresponds to about 33 m², while a 2.7 m ceiling gives about 30 m². These calculations do not guarantee that the unit will maintain a chosen temperature in those areas.

The sheet publishes capacity as 9,400 BTU/h under test conditions of 35°C and 80% relative humidity, and as 2.4 kW under 35°C and 40% relative humidity according to EN14511. The different stated conditions matter, so do not treat the two figures as a like-for-like independent comparison. De’Longhi’s portable air-conditioner guidance says to match capacity to room size and consider insulation and heat sources; sun exposure, occupants and appliances can also affect the cooling load.
How loud is the De’Longhi PAC EM82K?
The manufacturer lists maximum sound power of 63 dB(A) and sound pressure of 47–50 dB(A). Those are different acoustic measures and should not be compared as though they were the same reading. The published figures do not establish how loud the unit will seem at a particular distance, room layout or operating setting.

Does it include a window kit?
Yes: the manufacturer specification sheet lists a window kit and a 1.25 m exhaust hose as included. Confirm that the kit suits the window type and the exact regional model; the support page links the relevant instructions and safety documentation. The reviewed sources do not establish replacement-part numbers, third-party compatibility or current stock, so verify compatibility before ordering any replacement.

De’Longhi lists dimensions of 700 × 425 × 345 mm and a weight of 31.5 kg. Castors and handles make movement possible, but the weight is substantial when carrying the unit over stairs or lifting it into a vehicle. CHOICE rounds the dimensions to 70 × 43 × 35 cm and lists a 120 cm duct, rather than the manufacturer sheet’s 1.25 m hose. Check the supplied hose and kit for the specific listing rather than assuming the rounded third-party entry describes every regional package.

What independent review evidence is available?
CHOICE has a review listing for the DeLonghi PAC EM82K and identifies it as a cooling-only model. Its accessible page shows selected specifications, but its expert rating, detailed test results and pros and cons are restricted to members. The public listing therefore cannot support a claim about an overall score or an independently measured cooling or noise result.
Check the regional model before buying
The manufacturer sheet states 220–240 V and 50 Hz. Listings can vary by market, suffix, plug and local documentation, so compare the product label and the seller’s exact model number with the applicable manual before purchase. Do not assume that every product called PACEM82K has identical electrical details or accessories.

For a useful comparison with another portable air conditioner, start with capacity and its test conditions, then room volume, noise measure, energy data, drainage, installation kit and hose, weight, controls, and local support or warranty.
