Which capsules work with it?
The EN560S is compatible with Nespresso Original espresso capsules. It is not a Vertuo machine, so Vertuo capsules are not the right format. Check the capsule system on any coffee you buy; the shared Nespresso name does not make the two systems interchangeable. De’Longhi’s compatibility information specifies Original capsules.

The built-in milk container and one-touch recipes reduce the steps needed to make a cappuccino or latte macchiato compared with preparing espresso and frothing milk separately. The trade-off is an additional component to clean. The user manual advises rinsing the milk system after each milk preparation and says it is intended for cow’s milk, not soy, oat, almond or other alternative beverages. Official regional pages do not give identical capacity figures, so use the figures for the market where you are buying rather than combining them into one specification. De’Longhi Canada advertises a 19-bar pump and a 25-second coffee heat-up, with 15 seconds for milk beverages; these are manufacturer claims, not independently measured results. Nespresso Australia lists a 0.9 L removable water tank, a 0.35 L milk container, capacity for nine used capsules and a 25-second heat-up. Nespresso USA’s assistance page lists a 30 oz removable tank, capacity for 10 used capsules and 19-bar pressure. The listed capacities differ, and the sources do not establish that the figures describe a single universal configuration.

Rinse the milk system after each milk preparation, as the manual advises. This recurring task is part of the convenience trade-off: one-touch milk drinks reduce preparation steps, but the milk path cannot simply be ignored between uses.

Descaling
Descaling is also part of routine care. The manual cautions that unsuitable descalers may damage components or descale inadequately, and recommends Nespresso descaling agent. It states that the agent, when used correctly, “helps ensure the proper functioning of your machine over its lifetime and that your coffee experience is as perfect as the first day.” That is the manufacturer’s statement, not an independently verified durability finding. Nespresso provides a model assistance and descaling guide; follow the instructions applicable to your market and machine.

Warranty terms depend on region. Nespresso USA lists a two-year warranty on its assistance page, while De’Longhi Canada says warranty details vary by product. Confirm the terms that apply to the exact machine and seller before buying rather than assuming the US term applies elsewhere.
