A Dell XPS 13 configuration was reported at $599.99, $200 off, in Best Buy’s Techtober Sale—not Amazon Prime Day. That October 5 deal report covers the Core 5 320 model with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. But the Best Buy listing checked afterward showed $699.99, so $599.99 should not be treated as a confirmed live price. Check the current price and exact configuration before buying.
What the reported $599.99 XPS 13 deal includes
Windows Central reported on October 5, 2026, that Best Buy had the Dell XPS 13 with an Intel Core 5 320 processor, 8GB RAM and a 512GB SSD for $599.99, a stated $200 discount. The report also listed a 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD configuration for $799.99, likewise described as $200 off. Windows Central’s deal report identified the promotion as part of Best Buy’s Techtober Sale, not October Prime Day.

Those are reported sale prices, not confirmation that either price remains available. The Best Buy page checked for the 8GB/512GB configuration displayed $699.99, while Dell’s page displayed $799.99 for its listed 8GB configuration. Best Buy’s listing and Dell’s product page therefore do not verify the reported $599.99 offer. Prices and stock can change; confirm the seller, SKU, configuration and checkout price on the retailer’s page.

Which one should you consider?
Choose the XPS 13 if Windows is the deciding factor
The XPS 13 runs Windows 11 Home and has a 13.4-inch touchscreen at 2560×1600. Those are relevant reasons to consider it if you specifically want Windows or a touch display. The reported $599.99 price applies only to the 8GB/512GB configuration and may no longer be available; verify the live listing before treating it as a budget alternative.
