Short answer: the Dell Pro Precision 5 14S Intel (model PW514260) has no conventional discrete graphics card, but it is not limited to one generic integrated GPU. Dell pairs some processors with standard Intel Graphics and others with integrated Intel Arc Pro B370 or B390 graphics. The exact processor determines the GPU, ports and likely workstation performance, so the model name alone is not enough to judge it.
What the Dell Pro Precision 5 14S Intel actually is
The Pro Precision 5 14S Intel is a configurable 14-inch workstation laptop. Its graphics are integrated into the processor platform rather than installed as a separate, replaceable graphics card. That design can reduce board space and power requirements, but it also means the GPU uses shared system memory and cannot be upgraded independently after purchase.

“Integrated” does not automatically mean “unsuitable for professional software.” Dell offers three different graphics classes in this family: standard Intel Graphics, Intel Arc Pro B370 and Intel Arc Pro B390. The Arc Pro options are integrated GPUs with professional driver support, not discrete modules. They should therefore be evaluated by their exact configuration and application support instead of by the word integrated alone.
Dell identifies the computer as model PW514260 on its US listing. Processor, graphics, memory, storage, display and price selections can vary by listing and region. A review of one configuration cannot be applied automatically to every 14S Intel order.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Does it have a discrete GPU?
No. The configurations described for PW514260 use integrated Intel Graphics, integrated Arc Pro B370 or integrated Arc Pro B390. None is a separate discrete graphics card with its own dedicated graphics memory.
The practical distinction is important:
- Shared memory: the integrated GPU draws from system RAM. The amount available to graphics depends on the operating system, firmware and workload rather than a fixed VRAM capacity listed as a separate card specification.
- Fixed platform: you choose the processor and graphics tier when ordering. Replacing standard Intel Graphics with Arc Pro later is not an upgrade path for the finished laptop.
- Professional drivers: Arc Pro is positioned for professional applications and certified-driver workflows, even though the hardware is integrated.
- Workload limits: a certified integrated GPU can be a sensible choice for mobile CAD and other viewport workloads, but it is not evidence that the laptop will match a workstation with a high-power discrete GPU in every render, simulation or compute task.
Which processor gives you which graphics?
Dell’s setup specification separates the available processor and GPU combinations. Use this matrix as an ordering guide, then confirm the live regional configuration because bundles and availability can change.
| Processor option | Graphics listed by Dell | Graphics type | Display and expansion connections listed for the configuration |

The table is a mapping of the combinations Dell lists, not a promise that every processor appears in every country or sales bundle. If a shopping page shows only a processor name, open the detailed configuration and verify the GPU field before paying. “Pro Precision 5 14S Intel” by itself does not identify an Arc Pro model.

Arc Pro B370 and B390 are the graphics options that give the 14S its workstation-specific angle. They remain integrated GPUs, but Dell and Intel position them differently from the standard Intel Graphics configurations. The professional designation is relevant when an application depends on a certified driver, predictable viewport behavior or a vendor-supported graphics stack.
The B390 is the higher Arc Pro tier listed for this family. It is paired with the Core Ultra 7 368H vPro and Core Ultra 9 388H vPro in Dell’s setup specification. The B370 is paired with the Core Ultra 5 338H vPro. Do not infer B390 performance from the chassis name or from another processor in the range; the GPU is tied to the selected CPU configuration.
Because the GPUs use system memory, RAM capacity and configuration matter to the experience. A laptop with the same Arc Pro processor but a different memory configuration can behave differently when a project contains large assemblies, high-resolution textures or several applications open at once. Dell’s listing can expose selectable memory and storage choices; compare those choices rather than treating the base specification as representative of every order.
What “ISV-certified” means here—and what it does not prove
Dell’s brochure describes the line with the sentence: “Tested and certified by leading ISVs to guarantee outstanding application performance.” That is Dell’s marketing statement about its certification positioning. It is not, by itself, an application-by-application guarantee for every PW514260 configuration.

The available product material does not identify the certified applications, certification records, dates, driver versions or the precise configurations covered. Consequently, a buyer who needs certification for a particular program should verify that program and the exact processor/GPU combination on the current certification record before treating certification as a purchase requirement.
Why certification can matter
- Independent software vendors (ISVs) may validate specific drivers, hardware combinations and application versions for professional use.
- A certified driver can reduce the risk of viewport defects or unsupported feature paths compared with a generic consumer driver.
- Certification is most useful when a company has a support policy requiring listed hardware, not merely when a laptop is described as a workstation.
Why the label is not a universal performance promise
- Certification normally applies to named applications and versions, not to every 3D, rendering, engineering or video workload.
- The same model family may contain several GPUs, memory capacities and displays, and the certification scope may not cover all of them.
- A certified viewport result does not establish render time, simulation speed, battery life, thermals, fan noise or gaming performance.
How fast is the Arc Pro B390 configuration?
StorageReview’s 2026 review reports that the Arc Pro B390 configuration delivered roughly 75% more GPU compute performance than the standard Pro 5 14 and produced gains of about two to three times across several certified ISV viewsets. Those are reviewer-reported comparisons for the tested configuration, not Dell-published specifications and not measurements performed across every PW514260 option.
The results are useful for identifying the B390’s potential advantage in professional viewport tests. They should not be converted into a blanket claim that every application will run two or three times faster. The review extract does not provide enough methodology to extend the figures to rendering, video export, machine-learning workloads, gaming, battery operation or a different memory and storage configuration.
How to apply the numbers to your decision
- If your work is represented by the certified viewsets used in the review, treat the B390 as the graphics-first choice in this family.
- If your application is not named in a certification record or review result, look for an application-specific test or vendor requirement before estimating performance.
- Compare complete systems, including RAM, display resolution and storage, rather than comparing GPU labels in isolation.
- For sustained rendering or compute, obtain workload-specific evidence; the available figures do not establish sustained thermals or long-run throughput.
Choosing between Intel Graphics, Arc Pro B370 and Arc Pro B390
Standard Intel Graphics: choose it for ordinary office and lighter professional use
The 336H, 366H and 386H configurations use standard Intel Graphics. They can make sense when your applications are primarily office, browser, documentation, code, 2D design or light 3D viewing and you do not require an Arc Pro certification path. Their listed display connections still include HDMI 2.1 and USB-C DisplayPort 2.1.

Do not describe these configurations as equivalent to Arc Pro simply because both are integrated. The GPU tier, driver positioning and available evidence are different.
Arc Pro B370: choose it when professional graphics support matters at the lower Arc tier
The Core Ultra 5 338H vPro configuration adds Arc Pro B370. It is the entry Arc Pro choice in Dell’s mapping and may be appropriate when an application requirement points to Arc Pro but the B390 systems are unnecessary or unavailable. Confirm the application certification and the memory configuration for the exact order.
Arc Pro B390: choose it for the strongest documented graphics case in this family
The Core Ultra 7 368H vPro and Core Ultra 9 388H vPro configurations use Arc Pro B390. StorageReview’s reported compute and viewset gains apply to this tier, making it the most defensible choice when viewport performance is the priority and a discrete GPU is not required. The evidence still applies to the tested configuration, not automatically to every B390 listing.

A Thunderbolt 4 port can simplify a desk setup with a compatible dock, but port presence alone does not certify a particular dock-and-monitor combination. Confirm the exact laptop port map, dock requirements and display topology before ordering accessories. If a listing is ambiguous, ask Dell to confirm the configuration code rather than assuming every 14S has two Thunderbolt ports.
Display, memory and storage: the parts that can change the experience
The family has a 14-inch display, but the product name does not identify the panel’s resolution, brightness, color coverage or refresh characteristics. Those attributes can affect CAD readability, photo work and long sessions as much as the GPU does. Select the panel from the same configuration page as the processor instead of relying on a photograph or a review of another SKU.
Memory is especially important because the integrated GPU shares it with the operating system and applications. A larger project can consume RAM for geometry, textures, browser tabs and background services at the same time. Check the installed capacity and upgrade policy in the order details. Do not assume that a B390 configuration has a fixed amount of graphics memory or that the amount shown in a different regional listing will be available to you.
Storage capacity and drive type affect project loading, scratch files and local exports, but they do not turn an integrated GPU into a discrete one. Compare storage options only after confirming the GPU and RAM you need; a larger SSD cannot compensate for selecting the wrong graphics tier.
A precise buying checklist for PW514260
- Open the current Dell listing for model PW514260. Treat the page as a live regional listing. Prices, stock and selectable bundles can change.
- Select the processor first. Read the graphics field attached to that processor. Confirm whether it says Intel Graphics, Arc Pro B370 or Arc Pro B390.
- Record the exact application requirement. If an employer or software vendor specifies a certified GPU, driver or workstation model, match that requirement to the chosen configuration.
- Verify memory and storage. Because the GPU uses shared system memory, check RAM capacity as part of the graphics decision, not as an afterthought.
- Inspect the display option. Confirm resolution and other panel attributes on the order page; the 14-inch size alone does not describe image quality.
- Check the port list. Intel Graphics listings show HDMI 2.1 and USB-C DisplayPort 2.1. Arc Pro listings show HDMI 2.1 plus two Thunderbolt 4 ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort 2.1 in Dell’s setup specification.
- Confirm regional availability and price at checkout. Do not treat a search-result price as a permanent MSRP or assume that a configuration shown in one country is orderable in another.
- Save the configuration details. Keep the processor, GPU, memory, storage and display selections with your purchase record so support can identify the exact system later.
How to compare it with another compact workstation
Use a configuration-to-configuration comparison, not a brand or chassis comparison. The following order prevents a low price or a familiar model name from hiding a graphics mismatch.
1. Application certification
Ask whether the exact application, version and driver combination lists the exact laptop configuration. A general “ISV-certified” statement is weaker evidence than a current record naming your software and hardware.

2. Graphics tier
Write down the actual GPU: Intel Graphics, Arc Pro B370 or Arc Pro B390. Do not compare an unnamed “14S Intel” system with another workstation until this field is known.
3. Workload evidence
Separate certified viewport results from rendering, video editing, simulation and gaming. StorageReview’s reported 75% compute advantage and two-to-three-times viewset gains are specific to its Arc Pro B390 review comparison; they do not answer every workload question.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute4. Memory and display
Match RAM capacity and panel specification. Shared-memory graphics make RAM a functional part of the GPU decision, while display quality determines whether the workstation is comfortable for your visual work.
5. Ports and desk setup
Check HDMI, USB-C DisplayPort and Thunderbolt implementation against your monitors, dock and power requirements. A port count copied from another SKU can lead to an incompatible desk setup.
6. Total price and availability
Compare the same CPU/GPU/RAM/storage combination in the same region and on the same date. A cheaper base listing may use standard Intel Graphics while the alternative includes Arc Pro, more memory or a different panel.

Strengths and trade-offs
| Strengths | Trade-offs |
|---|---|
| 14-inch workstation format with processor-linked Intel and Arc Pro graphics choices. | No discrete GPU; all listed graphics use shared system memory. |
| Arc Pro B370 and B390 provide a professional graphics option without a separate GPU module. | Application certification coverage for each SKU is not fully identified in the product material. |
| StorageReview reports roughly 75% higher GPU compute and about two-to-three-times gains in several certified viewsets for its B390 review configuration. | Those review results are workload- and configuration-specific, not universal guarantees. |
| Arc Pro configurations list HDMI 2.1 and two 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 4 ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort 2.1. | Port availability differs by GPU configuration and must be confirmed before buying accessories. |
| Standard Intel Graphics configurations may suit lighter workloads and can still provide HDMI 2.1 and USB-C DisplayPort 2.1. | The model name does not reveal the GPU, display, memory or storage configuration. |
Who should buy which version?
Choose a standard Intel Graphics configuration when your priority is a compact business laptop with occasional 2D or light 3D work and your software does not require Arc Pro certification. Choose Arc Pro B370 when the application or procurement policy calls for professional graphics support but the B390 tier is unnecessary. Choose Arc Pro B390 when you want the strongest documented graphics option in this family, your application is covered or appropriate for that driver path, and the price and memory configuration fit the project.
Look elsewhere if your work depends on a high-power discrete GPU, a large dedicated VRAM pool, sustained GPU rendering or a certification record that Dell has not confirmed for the exact PW514260 configuration. The absence of a discrete GPU is a defining design constraint, not a detail to overlook.
Verdict
The Dell Pro Precision 5 14S Intel is best understood as a configurable integrated-graphics workstation, not as one fixed laptop. Its value depends on choosing the right CPU/GPU pairing: standard Intel Graphics for lighter work, Arc Pro B370 for entry professional graphics and Arc Pro B390 for the strongest graphics case documented for the family. Dell’s ISV-certified positioning and StorageReview’s B390 results are useful signals, but neither removes the need to verify the application, driver, memory, ports and regional configuration before ordering.
