To delete a Reel or video you posted on Facebook, find it in your profile’s Activity Log and use the content-management controls Facebook makes available for that item. Facebook says Activity Log lets you review and manage shared content, including archiving or deleting some content through Manage Activity. If you mean clearing websites or videos viewed in Facebook’s in-app browser, that is a separate task and will not delete a post.
First, identify what you want to remove

Facebook’s terminology has changed: in June 2025, the Videos tab was renamed the Reels tab, and Facebook says videos posted there are shared as Reels. If older instructions tell you to open a Videos tab, look for Reels instead. The Reels area displays videos and Reels. Facebook Help Center: Explore and watch Facebook reels.

How to find a Reel or video you posted
- Open your Facebook profile and go to Activity Log. Facebook describes it as the place to review and manage what you have shared. Facebook Help Centre: Manage what you’ve shared on Facebook.
- Look through the activity categories and filters for the relevant video or Reel. If you are following older guidance or see an older label, check the Reels area as well.
- Open the item’s available management controls. Facebook says Manage Activity in Activity Log can be used to archive or delete content, and that posts, photos, and videos can be managed there. Controls may differ by item; Facebook’s help pages do not establish that every video type has identical options. Facebook Help Center: View and adjust your Facebook privacy settings.
- Choose the delete option only if it is shown for the item and deletion is what you intend. Read any confirmation or follow-up prompt on screen before proceeding.
The exact current menu for deleting an individual Reel is not established in Facebook’s cited help guidance. Use the labels and options displayed in your account rather than relying on a button sequence from an older app version or device.

Deleting a post is different from changing its audience
If you want to keep the Reel but show it to fewer people, check its audience controls. Facebook documents the ability to change the audience for a specific Reel. That changes who can see it; it does not remove the Reel from Facebook. Facebook Help Center: Set your default audience for reels on Facebook.

Clearing Facebook in-app browser data does not delete a video
Facebook’s in-app browser has a separate setting for clearing browsing data. Facebook says this clears data from that in-app browser and points users to Activity Log for managing Facebook activity. Use the browser setting if you mean browsing traces, not to remove a video you published. Facebook Help Center: Access settings for viewing websites in the Facebook app.
