The Deep Dream Charcoal Infused Pocket Spring Mattress listed by CHOICE is marked discontinued, and its public page does not reveal the expert test results needed for a performance verdict. A currently listed Lifely Deep Dream Super Firm mattress and a Bedbuyer review concern related Super Firm variants—not a model confirmed to be the same as CHOICE’s listing.
Which Deep Dream mattress did CHOICE review?
CHOICE identifies its reviewed product as a queen-size mattress-in-a-box with a pocket-spring core and a claimed firm feel. Its listing marks the model “Discontinued model.” The public page provides product specifications but gates the expert rating and detailed test results behind member access, so it does not establish how the mattress performed for support, durability, temperature, or other test categories. CHOICE’s listing and Lifely’s current Deep Dream Super Firm product should not be treated as the same mattress: the available information does not confirm an identity match. Bedbuyer’s review also concerns a Super Firm variant, not a model established as identical to the CHOICE-listed product.
What the CHOICE listing says about specifications and price
The public CHOICE listing records these details for its queen model. The prices are historical listing figures; the page gives no publication year, and they are not current-price guidance.

It lists King Single, Double, Queen, and King sizes, and advertises certification and a 100-day return offer. In a review last updated December 25, 2023, Bedbuyer described its Deep Dream Super Firm variant as distinctly firm and said it would generally suit back sleepers more than side or stomach sleepers. It reported good motion isolation, reasonable edge support, and a stable five-zone spring system. The review also noted that the mattress can feel hard and is less responsive when changing positions. Those are reviewer observations about the variant Bedbuyer assessed, not CHOICE test results or clinical guidance. Bedbuyer’s review

Who might find a firm Deep Dream variant suitable?
- Back sleepers: Bedbuyer’s assessment suggests the Super Firm variant may suit back sleepers who prefer a hard feel.
- Side or stomach sleepers: Bedbuyer says it would generally be less suitable for these positions. Comfort is personal, so consider the applicable trial and return conditions rather than assuming the firmness will work for you.
- People sharing a bed: Bedbuyer reported good motion isolation on its reviewed variant, which may matter if movement transfers between sleepers.
- People who change positions frequently: The reported lower responsiveness during position changes is worth weighing against the firm feel.
These observations do not establish how the discontinued CHOICE model behaves, nor do they substitute for an individual fit assessment.

Bedbuyer recommends a solid bed frame or ensemble base for its reviewed variant. It says flexible slats should be less than 8 cm apart and warns that an unsupportive base may void the warranty. Because the exact current warranty terms have not been established, confirm the conditions for the specific product and seller before relying on that warning. Bedbuyer base guidance
