The Deco Gear DG49OLED240 combines the pixel dimensions of two 27-inch QHD monitors into one 49-inch, 32:9 QD-OLED display, with a stated maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz. Tom’s Hardware’s review found it strong for smooth gaming, contrast, balanced color and out-of-box accuracy, while noting an unintuitive on-screen display and slightly dark gamma. It is best understood as a way to lose the center bezel—not as two independent screens in one housing.
What the DG49OLED240 is—and what it replaces
Deco Gear specifies a 49-inch curved QD-OLED panel with a 5120 × 1440 resolution and 32:9 aspect ratio. That gives it the same combined pixel dimensions as two 2560 × 1440 (QHD) displays side by side. Because it is one continuous panel, there is no physical bezel dividing the workspace.

The difference matters in daily use: windows can span the middle without crossing a monitor seam, but the display is still one screen rather than two independent panels. You do not get a physical boundary between work areas, and the very wide format may not suit every desk, application or game. The product page and manual list these specifications on Deco Gear’s DG49OLED240 product page and in its model manual.
How the review describes the picture and gaming
Christian Eberle’s Tom’s Hardware review, published 29 August 2026, praises the display’s gaming smoothness, contrast, balanced color and out-of-box color accuracy. The reviewer also regards its audio as better than usual for a monitor and identifies replacing two 27-inch QHD screens without their dividing line as a key appeal. The review’s drawbacks are an unintuitive on-screen display (OSD) and slightly dark gamma. These are reviewer findings, not a guarantee that every unit or user will experience the same results. - Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The review reports measuring brightness at around 430 nits in a 25% window for SDR/HDR with variable brightness engaged, and around 360 nits for full-field white. Those figures describe the reviewer’s sample and test conditions; they are not manufacturer guarantees. Eberle also reports approximately 112% DCI-P3 coverage and favorable response and input-lag performance relative to the review’s database.
The manufacturer lists 0.1 ms in its specification block and separately advertises 0.03 ms with overdrive; Tom’s Hardware lists 0.03 ms GTG in its specifications. These differently presented figures should not be collapsed into a single unqualified promise about real-world response. The headline refresh rate is 240 Hz, as stated in the manual, but whether a setup can run at that rate depends on the computer, connection, settings and workload.

Ports, USB-C power and multi-device features
Deco Gear lists a broad set of connections and switching features. The manufacturer’s stated port and feature inventory is:
| Connection or feature | Manufacturer-listed details |
|---|---|
| HDMI | 1 × HDMI 2.1 |
| DisplayPort | 2 × DisplayPort 1.4 |
| USB-C | 1 × USB-C, with 90 W power delivery |
| USB-A and USB-B | 2 × USB-A and 1 × USB-B |
| Network | 1 × RJ45, listed at 100 Mbps |
| Other | Audio output and built-in speakers |
| Display and device functions | KVM and PIP/PBP |
KVM can simplify sharing connected peripherals between computers, while PIP/PBP can show more than one source on the display. They are useful additions for a mixed work-and-gaming setup, but the monitor remains one panel; those modes do not turn it into two physically separate monitors. Check the manual for setup and menu details before relying on a particular device combination.

Fit, curve and mounting
The panel uses a 1800R curve. Deco Gear lists the monitor at 47.2 inches wide, whether or not the stand is attached, so measure the desk and check clearance around the display before buying. Listed dimensions are 47.2 × 14.2 × 22.6 inches with the stand and 47.2 × 6.7 × 14.4 inches without it. The manufacturer lists a net weight of 20.9 lb (9.5 kg); confirm the current product revision and the actual mounting configuration when planning an arm or wall mount.
The stand supports tilt, height adjustment and swivel. The monitor also has a 100 × 100 mm VESA mounting pattern. For a third-party mount, check its load rating, arm reach and clearance for an unusually wide, curved screen rather than relying on the VESA pattern alone.

What comes in the box and what protection is stated
Deco Gear lists the monitor, a DisplayPort cable, an HDMI cable, power adapter and cord, and a quick-start guide as included. The manufacturer states a one-year limited warranty. OLED care features described on the product page do not by themselves establish burn-in coverage, so check the written warranty and terms for your region before purchase.

A good fit if you want
- A seamless, very wide desktop area with the combined resolution of two QHD monitors.
- A high-refresh-rate QD-OLED screen for gaming, with the review’s positive findings on motion, contrast and color in mind.
- One display with USB-C power delivery, KVM and multiple video inputs for a multi-device setup.
Think carefully if you need
- Two physically separate screens or sharply divided work areas; this is one continuous panel.
- A display format that every game or application handles equally well. Compatibility and use of the full 32:9 canvas depend on the software and connected system.
- A smaller footprint. At 47.2 inches wide, it needs a desk and mounting arrangement suited to a very large display.
Verdict: a compelling dual-monitor alternative with a few usability caveats
The DG49OLED240’s central proposition is straightforward: two QHD screens’ worth of pixels and workspace, with no center bezel, plus QD-OLED contrast and a stated 240 Hz maximum. Tom’s Hardware’s review supports its appeal for gaming and for people who want one continuous ultrawide canvas, while its OSD and gamma criticisms are worth weighing if easy adjustment and a brighter-looking image are priorities. Treat the monitor’s measured brightness as review-sample results, and verify current price, stock and written warranty terms with the seller and manufacturer before committing.
