Death Dealer is a multiplayer horror party game built around a card game that decides who gets hunted: the loser gets a head start while friends arm themselves and give chase. A report published October 8, 2026 says its demo is scheduled to be playable during Steam Next Fest from October 19 to 26, with the demo planned to go offline on October 29. Steam currently lists the game’s planned Early Access release for November 4, 2026; that date may change.

When can you play the Death Dealer demo?

According to That’s Gaming’s October 8, 2026 report, the demo is scheduled to be available during Steam Next Fest from October 19 through October 26, 2026, and is planned to go offline October 29. The Steam listing has a “Download Death Dealer Demo” section, but does not itself confirm those event or removal dates. Treat the schedule as reported rather than as dates confirmed on the store page.

Steam lists November 4, 2026 as the planned Early Access release date and labels the game “Coming Soon To Early Access.” A planned store date is not a guarantee, and the demo’s availability after its scheduled offline date is not established.

How Death Dealer’s card game turns into a hunt

Steam presents Death Dealer as a multiplayer horror party game for up to six players, developed and published by Psychotronic. The match alternates between a high-stakes card game and a pursuit. Players win chips, and can gamble them on personal slot machines for extra chips, strange effects and modifiers. The player who loses the card game becomes the hunted target. Alarms sound, the target gets a head start, and the other players buy weapons before the hunt begins.

The premise therefore relies on social play as much as horror: players have to decide when to cooperate, mislead one another or try to escape.

Cards, chips and the slot-machine mechanic are in-game systems. The developer states on Steam: “It’s a video game, not a real casino. No real money involved.”

What is known about the demo?

What the developer says about Early Access

The two-person team says the core loop is playable and expects Early Access to last “around 18 months,” while noting that the estimate may change as development progresses and the team responds to player feedback. That is a development estimate, not a promised end date.

The developer says the Early Access build will include the full core loop: card game, chips, slot machine and hunt phase. For the eventual full version, it plans to add more level content, weapons, character cosmetics and gameplay variations, as well as fix bugs and refine balance, design and difficulty. These are plans rather than guaranteed features.

The developer also says it intends to gather feedback through Steam forums and discussions, community playtests, Discord and direct player interaction. It identifies balance and pacing, readability, player experience, replayability and bug fixes as areas for feedback. Steam gives no numeric price: the team says it plans to charge less during Early Access and raise the price at version 1.0 as content, features and polish are added.

Who might enjoy trying the demo?

The clearest fit is a group interested in social horror and chaotic player-versus-player play, rather than a solo horror campaign. Consider whether your group has enough players for the game’s up-to-six-player format, enjoys a mix of card-game decisions and pursuit, and is comfortable with proximity voice chat. The demo is a chance to judge how that loop feels for your group; the available description does not establish the demo’s precise content.
