What the Shackmaps Nasdara map includes
The Shackmaps Nasdara map is an interactive planning tool for DayZ players. Its pins cover weapons, gear, buildings, events, threats and other map information. Shacknews describes it as a manually maintained, living project: important locations will be added over time, and players can use the Suggest a Pin control to report an omission or correction.

The map is free to use in a web browser. You can switch between satellite imagery and an in-game paper-style view, search map layers, open coordinates and grid references, preview some buildings in 3D, and measure the distance between two locations. Those tools are useful whether you are planning a supply run, choosing a base area or trying to cross Nasdara without wasting fuel and water.

NasdaraMap.com’s 2026 dataset lists the following indexed locations. These are possible locations or map records, not a promise that every spawn or event is active at the same time on your server.

The five military sites named in that listing are OKB-754, Dashtabad Airbase, Zulfiqar missile base, COP Neptune and FOB Atlas. For a raid or reconnaissance route, search the military layer first, then use the distance tool to compare approaches and fallback exits.
How to find loot, water, vehicles and heli crashes
Search for loot and building types
- Open the Shackmaps Nasdara map in your browser and select the loot or building layers.
- Use the search field to enter a building type, item or area of interest.
- Switch to the satellite or paper view to understand terrain and nearby roads.
- Open a marker for its coordinates or grid reference, then measure the route from your current position or planned destination.
Loot markers describe searchable map data, not guaranteed inventory. DayZ loot changes with server settings, persistence, patches and the timing of your visit, so treat a pin as a destination to investigate rather than a guaranteed item drop.

Locate water
Turn on the water layer to see the 112 possible water locations listed by NasdaraMap.com. Check the marker against the satellite and in-game views before committing to a route, and carry a backup plan because a possible location may not be usable or active on every server configuration.
Plan vehicle runs
The vehicle layer contains 333 indexed spawn points. Use the grid reference and distance measurement tools to group nearby points into one search loop. A marker identifies a possible spawn location; it does not indicate that a vehicle is present, complete or ready to drive.

Track heli crashes and events
Search the heli-crash layer for the 86 possible crash points, or inspect the broader set of 328 crash and event markers. Dynamic events are time-sensitive, and the map’s counts represent indexed possibilities rather than a live server feed. Confirm what you see in game before changing course.
Use local DayZ mission files for server-specific planning
Shackmaps’ guide also supports loading local DayZ mission files in the browser to plot server data. The page states that these files remain in the browser tab. This can help administrators and players visualize custom server information without uploading the files to a separate service.

- Open the mission-file loading control in the map interface.
- Select the relevant local DayZ mission file when your browser prompts you.
- Review the plotted server data alongside the standard Nasdara layers.
- Close the tab when finished if you do not want the locally loaded information retained in that browser session.
Mission-file support is for local plotting; it should not be confused with a guarantee that the public map knows your server’s current loot economy or event state.
How large is Nasdara?
ZEDMAPS lists Nasdara as a 16.4 × 16.4 km DayZ map, with satellite and topographic views. Its directory separately reports 14,734 buildings, 2,231 vehicle wrecks, 294 loot-building types, 1,102 loot items and 156 named places. Those figures use a different directory methodology from Shackmaps’ layer counts, so they should not be added together or treated as a direct accuracy comparison.

What the map can—and cannot—tell you
- Useful for: route planning, comparing military approaches, finding possible water and vehicle locations, identifying loot-building types, checking coordinates and grids, and measuring travel distance.
- Not a live guarantee: indexed pins do not prove that loot, a vehicle, a heli crash or an event is currently present.
- Subject to change: DayZ patches, server configuration and Nasdara revisions can alter loot, event and spawn behavior.
- Maintenance signal: Shackmaps says pins are updated manually and invites corrections, which indicates active maintenance but is not an independent accuracy audit.
Date-stamp your own route notes and recheck critical locations after a game update. If a marker is wrong or missing, use Suggest a Pin so the map team can review it.
Bottom line for Nasdara players
Shackmaps is a practical free map for DayZ’s Nasdara: it combines searchable pins, satellite and paper views, coordinates, grids, distance measurement, 3D building previews and local mission-file plotting. Its published 2026 coverage gives you a starting index for five military sites, 86 possible heli-crash points, 333 vehicle points, 112 possible water locations and hundreds of other markers. Use those records to plan and navigate, then verify conditions in your server because the map is maintained data, not a real-time spawn guarantee.
