They were among 11 cultivars recognized in the RHS’s first lantana trial, which compared 74 entries over a year at RHS Wisley in Surrey.
What the RHS award recognizes
The RHS describes the AGM as a recommendation to help gardeners choose reliable plants. Its assessment considers whether award-winning plants are healthy, excellent performers in suitable conditions, reasonably resistant to common pests and diseases, available to buy, and true to type. An AGM is not a guarantee that a plant will perform identically in every garden or climate.

For the lantana trial, judges assessed flower production and the length of the flowering season, the balance between flowers and foliage, foliage appearance, and plant health and vigor. The RHS says lantanas typically flower from summer into autumn; plants in this trial produced displays into the later season. Read the RHS lantana trial results.
How the two GEM lantanas compare
| Cultivar | RHS late-season trial measurement | RHS observations | Container suitability |
|---|---|---|---|
| GEM Compact Yellow Topaz (‘Dlangcomyt’) | 24 cm high × 47 cm wide | Uniform habit; yellow-and-cream bicolored flowers; dark foliage contrasting with the blooms. | No specific container-performance note stated by the RHS. |
| GEM Diva Pink (‘Dlantan95’) | 37 cm high × 65 cm wide | Open, spreading habit; bright flowers displayed across the plant; older flowers uniformly pink. | The RHS described it as performing better in a container. |
The measurements are the RHS’s late-season observations from its 2025 trial, not guaranteed mature dimensions. Growing conditions and setup can affect a plant’s eventual size. The RHS trial page gives the cultivar descriptions and measurements.

What the trial numbers mean
The RHS compared 74 lantana entries in a year-long trial at Wisley in 2025. Eleven cultivars received the Recommended: Award of Garden Merit. The two Danziger selections were part of that group; they were not the only award recipients.
Danziger’s announcement
Danziger announced the recognition on 4 October 2026. Ori Danziger, the company’s Deputy CEO, called the awards “an important acknowledgment of the work behind our breeding.” He also said the company aims to develop varieties that combine visual appeal with reliable performance and value. Those remarks describe Danziger’s aims; the RHS award itself reflects the society’s trial and assessment. Read Danziger’s announcement.
