There is no working cheat code shown on the commonly referenced Dank Subs cheats page. The practical help available is a reported route through the Find the Bernie multiplayer objective: collect subs from enemies, open the gate, and reach Bernie. The route below follows that walkthrough while separating confirmed Steam information from guide-reported details that were observed in one multiplayer session.
What Dank Subs is

| Development status | Steam says the game is still in progress; a localized listing warns that its last update was more than three years ago. That indicates an apparently stale or uncertain development state, not confirmed cancellation. |
The store description also says defeated enemies provide subs, which are intended to unlock special abilities “coming soon.” That wording is important: the listing does not establish that those abilities are currently implemented. Healing with chicken tenders or wraps restores you but also resets enemies that have already died, so healing is a tactical decision rather than a completely consequence-free reset.
Dank Subs cheats and codes: what is actually available
The page commonly returned for “Dank Subs cheats” has a Cheat Codes heading but no code beneath it. It supplies walkthrough material instead. That supports saying that the reviewed source lists no working codes; it does not prove that no code exists anywhere in the game or in an unreviewed build.

Consequently, the dependable way to make progress is to use the normal combat route. Do not waste time entering random strings from unrelated games, downloading “trainers,” or assuming that a blank heading hides a secret input. Nothing in the available material documents a code, console command, unlock password or developer cheat menu.
Controls and mechanics you need before starting
Steam confirms the core actions: quick attack, heavy attack, block, target lock, jump, roll and sprint. Each of sprinting, rolling, blocking and attacking consumes stamina. The stamina bar therefore governs both movement and defense; exhausting it while an enemy is active can leave you unable to dodge or block.
The walkthrough gives a keyboard-and-mouse layout, but labels two mouse inputs as uncertain. Treat the following as a practical starting point rather than a guaranteed universal keymap:
| Action | Guide-reported input | Confidence and use |
|---|---|---|
| Move | W, A, S and D | Listed by the walkthrough as the movement set. |
| Attack | Left mouse button | Guide-reported primary attack. |
| Other attack | Right mouse button | The walkthrough is uncertain whether this is the intended secondary or heavy attack. Confirm it in a safe area. |
| Camera | Middle mouse button | The author is uncertain about the exact behavior and advises using the middle button to aim the camera. |
| Interact | F | Guide-reported interaction key; use it at switches and objects that accept input. |
| Jump | E | Guide-reported jump key. |
| Roll | Space | Guide-reported dodge key. Rolling consumes stamina. |
| Lock on | Tab | Guide-reported target-lock key; especially useful against the large arena enemies. |
If an input does not respond, check the game’s current key-binding screen before assuming the route is wrong. Early Access builds can change bindings, and the walkthrough’s author specifically expressed uncertainty about right-click and middle-mouse behavior.

Find the Bernie walkthrough
The objective described by the walkthrough is straightforward: defeat enough enemies to collect subs, activate the gate, and meet Bernie. The route below keeps the original sequence but adds the decisions that matter for stamina, camera control and recovery.
1. Start downhill and collect the sword and shield
- From the starting area, run downhill.
- Pick up the sword and shield as soon as you reach them. Do not continue toward the platforming section without first equipping or confirming access to both pieces of equipment.
- Use the opening space to test movement, attack, block, jump and roll. Because every attack, block and roll spends stamina, watch how quickly your bar refills after you stop acting.
This short practice is more valuable than immediately sprinting ahead. You want to know how many attacks you can make before your stamina is empty and how long you need to recover before attempting another dodge.
2. Practice on the pigs
- Engage the pigs in the early area and learn their attack timing.
- Keep the shield available for a hit you cannot evade, but avoid holding block continuously; blocking drains stamina.
- Use one or two attacks, then create distance while the stamina bar recovers. Rolling repeatedly can leave you unable to attack, so reserve at least enough stamina for an escape.
- The area contains bonfire boxes that respawn enemies. The walkthrough recommends skipping those boxes rather than repeatedly refreshing fights.
The pigs are the safest place to discover how the game’s quick and heavy attacks differ. The guide’s right-click assignment is not confirmed, so test it here rather than beside a giant. If you heal with a chicken tender or wrap, remember that the listed mechanic resets enemies that have died; healing can therefore undo progress in a cleared group.

3. Cross the two moving fez hats
- Continue until you reach the two moving fez hats.
- Jump to the first hat when its path brings it within reach.
- Once you land, re-aim the camera toward the second hat. The walkthrough specifically warns that camera positioning is part of this transfer.
- Move to the second hat when it comes close, then jump onward to the next green platform.
Do not rush the second jump while looking at the wrong angle. If the middle-mouse camera behavior differs in your build, use whatever camera control keeps the next hat and the destination platform visible at the same time. The route is based on a single multiplayer session, so timing and collision behavior can vary with positioning or a later build.

4. Enter the giant-enemy arena
The next major obstacle is an arena containing two large enemies. The walkthrough’s preferred tactic is to separate them or trap one so you can deal with a single threat at a time.
- Enter with enough stamina for an opening dodge. Sprinting into the arena with an empty bar removes your safest response.
- Press Tab to try target lock on one giant. Keep the locked enemy in view while watching the second enemy’s position.
- Circle around the arena and look for a way to put terrain, spacing or the arena edge between the two enemies.
- When the active giant commits to an attack, roll clear, let your stamina recover, then strike during the safe opening.
- Do not stand in front of a giant while holding block indefinitely. The official listing confirms that blocking consumes stamina, and an exhausted defender cannot rely on another block or roll.
The guide says to defeat both enemies if one cannot be trapped or safely ignored. It does not document a secret bypass, a guaranteed exploit or a fixed attack count. Treat separation as a risk-management suggestion, not as a confirmed alternate route.
5. Collect the subs after each defeat
- After a giant goes down, move over the drop and collect its subs before leaving the arena.
- The walkthrough reports 100 subs per giant. This is a guide-reported amount from its session, not a separately verified economy table.
- Repeat the collection step for the second giant if you fought both. If you used a healing item and the game reset a defeated enemy, clear the threat again before assuming its subs are permanently available.
Picking up the reward is part of the route. Defeating an enemy without collecting the drop may leave you short of the amount the walkthrough expects when you reach the gate.
6. Activate the red switch and find Bernie
- Leave the arena and locate the red switch by the gate.
- Go around the corner as described by the walkthrough and interact with the switch. The guide lists F as the interaction input, but verify your binding if F does not respond.
- Proceed through the opened route until you meet Bernie.
At this point the walkthrough’s stated objective is complete: you have defeated the required enemies, gathered their subs, opened the gate and reached Bernie. The available material does not specify additional rewards, a later boss, or a separate code unlocked by speaking to Bernie.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.

How to approach the giant arena
No second, independently tested strategy is documented. The two practical choices below are interpretations of the same walkthrough advice, so choose based on your control of stamina and positioning rather than treating either as a guaranteed solution.
| Approach | What to do | Best fit | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Separate or trap one giant | Use target lock, circle the arena and exploit spacing or terrain so only one enemy can pressure you at a time. | Players still learning attack timing or struggling to manage two threat ranges. | The second enemy can close the gap while you are focused on the first; keep checking the arena, not only the lock-on target. |
| Fight both directly | Maintain movement, dodge committed attacks and strike only during clear openings against either giant. | Players who can read both enemies and preserve stamina while switching targets. | Overlapping attacks can consume all stamina through repeated rolls, blocks or panic attacks. |
Whichever option you choose, a conservative rhythm is safer than constant input: observe, evade, recover stamina, then attack. Because healing resets defeated enemies, use chicken tenders or wraps before a difficult engagement only if the resulting reset will not cost more progress than the healing saves.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Stamina, healing and reset rules
- Attacks cost stamina: alternating quick and heavy attacks without a pause can prevent a defensive response.
- Blocking costs stamina: a shield is not an unlimited wall. Release it when the threat has passed.
- Rolling costs stamina: reserve room for at least one emergency dodge when approaching a giant.
- Sprinting costs stamina: run between encounters only when the extra speed is useful; arrive at combat able to act.
- Healing resets defeated enemies: chicken tenders and wraps restore you but also bring enemies that have died back into the encounter, according to Steam’s description.
- Subs come from defeated enemies: the walkthrough’s reported giant reward is 100 subs each, while the store description says subs are intended to unlock special abilities coming soon.
These rules create a simple priority order: survive the current attack, let stamina recover, then deal damage. A small amount of health saved by healing is not automatically worthwhile if it respawns a giant before you have collected its subs.

The right mouse button does nothing
The walkthrough itself is unsure what right click controls. Test the input after collecting the sword and shield, then inspect the game’s bindings. Use the confirmed action labels in Steam’s description—quick attack, heavy attack, block and target—rather than assuming a specific mouse button is universal.

The camera will not aim at the next fez hat
Reposition before jumping. The guide says to re-aim toward the second hat after landing on the first and notes uncertainty about middle-mouse behavior. If the camera drifts, stop moving, center the destination in view and wait for the hat to approach instead of forcing a blind transfer.
You cannot survive both giants
Return to the separation tactic: lock onto one enemy, create distance from the other and attack only after a committed swing. Avoid spending the entire stamina bar on blocking and rolling. If a healing item is used, expect defeated enemies to reset and plan to clear them again.
The gate does not open
Confirm that you collected the subs from the defeated giants, then locate the red switch by the gate and interact with it. The walkthrough places the switch around a corner, so search the immediate area rather than assuming the gate opens automatically when an enemy falls. If F is not your interaction key, check the current binding.

The walkthrough was based on one multiplayer session, and the game remains an Early Access project whose update status appears stale. Differences in collision, timing, controls or level state are therefore possible. Use the sequence—equipment, pigs, moving hats, arena, subs, red switch, Bernie—as the objective order, not as a promise that every jump will behave identically.
What this guide can and cannot guarantee
The route is useful because it identifies the intended progression and the key hazards, but it is not a laboratory-tested speedrun or a guaranteed exploit. CheatInfo and SteamAH carry substantially the same walkthrough; SteamAH credits the original material to Brightg and dates its republication May 12, 2022. Those pages should be treated as one underlying account rather than independent confirmations.
Steam’s own listing is the stronger reference for the game’s identity, modes, free status, Early Access wording and stamina mechanics. Its statement that “This game is still in progress!” comes from the developer’s Steam page. The available Steam Community search result for a guide titled Dank Subs Complete Walkthrough does not provide enough detail to establish additional steps, so this article does not add any.
