How to read each requirement
Windows support
The stated operating-system floor is 64-bit Windows 10. A 32-bit installation does not match that requirement. The listing does not define support for Linux, SteamOS, macOS, or a specific Windows 11 build, so those platforms should not be treated as officially supported from the information currently available.
On a Windows computer, check the edition and system type before buying or reserving the game: open Settings > System > About and look for “System type.” It should identify a 64-bit operating system. The same page shows the processor model and installed RAM, which you can compare with the other rows in the table.
Processor
AMD A8-7600 and Intel Core i3-2105 are the named minimum CPU options. They are reference points, not a complete compatibility list. If your PC uses a different processor, identify the exact model and generation; a higher product number within a family does not by itself prove that it is faster or supported. The store page gives no recommended CPU, core-count target, or clock-speed target, so it is not possible to promise performance for an unlisted chip solely from its marketing name.

Memory
The minimum is 4 GB of system RAM. That amount describes the whole computer’s available memory, not a separate pool reserved only for Cup of Tales. Windows services, drivers, browsers, and other open programs also consume RAM. A machine that technically has the minimum may therefore have less headroom when the game starts. Closing unnecessary applications is a sensible preparation step, but it cannot turn an otherwise unsupported configuration into an officially supported one.
Graphics hardware
The listing names AMD Radeon R7 Graphics and Intel HD Graphics 3000. Those labels refer to integrated graphics families rather than one single performance level; exact capability varies by the processor model and driver. The page does not state a required DirectX feature level, shader model, dedicated video-memory amount, display resolution, quality preset, or target frames per second.
For that reason, “I have a newer integrated GPU” is not enough to make a guaranteed prediction. Compare the complete processor model, graphics driver, and operating system, then wait for launch information or testing before assuming a particular quality setting will work.

Storage
Steam lists 2 GB of available storage. “Available” means free space at installation time, not the total size of the drive. Keep extra capacity beyond the stated figure for download staging, patches, shader or compatibility files, and normal operating-system use. The page does not publish a separate post-install size or update allowance.

A low-end PC can be a plausible match if it satisfies every published minimum: 64-bit Windows 10, one of the listed CPU-level reference points or a demonstrably comparable processor, at least the listed memory, graphics capability in the same general class, and enough free storage. That conclusion is only a requirements comparison. It is not a claim that the game will maintain a particular frame rate or visual quality.

How to compare your Windows PC with the listing
- Confirm the operating system: open Settings > System > About, then verify that Windows reports a 64-bit system. Record the Windows edition and build as well.
- Record the processor: in the same About panel, copy the exact CPU model. Do not compare only “AMD” or “Intel”; the model number is what allows a meaningful comparison.
- Check installed memory: read the “Installed RAM” value in About. Remember that usable memory can be lower after Windows reserves space for hardware.
- Identify the graphics adapter: open Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and select Display adapter properties, or use Device Manager > Display adapters. Note the full adapter name and driver date.
- Measure free storage: open File Explorer > This PC and inspect the drive where Steam installs games. The free-space figure must exceed the listed storage requirement, with additional room preferable.
- Check for driver and Windows updates: use Settings > Windows Update and the graphics manufacturer’s official driver channel. Updates cannot add missing hardware capability, but outdated drivers can cause avoidable launch problems.
If a specification tool reports shared graphics memory, do not count that value as proof of a dedicated-GPU requirement being met. The store page does not set a separate video-memory threshold, so the exact adapter and its driver remain the useful identifiers.

Can Cup of Tales run on Steam Deck?
Steam currently labels Cup of Tales’ Steam Deck compatibility as Unknown. Valve defines that category as: Unknown — We haven’t checked this game for compatibility yet.
This is an absence of an official review, not a positive or negative result.
Accordingly, the game should not be described as Steam Deck Verified or Playable, and it should not be called Unsupported either. There is no official Deck badge to confirm controls, text legibility, performance, launcher behavior, or the behavior of any Windows compatibility layer.

What the Unknown label means for Deck owners
- The title has not received Valve’s compatibility check.
- There is no official guarantee that the game will install, start, recognize controls, or display correctly on a Deck.
- There is no published Deck-specific frame-rate target, battery estimate, graphics preset, or Proton test result in the available information.
- The Windows minimum requirements cannot be converted directly into a Deck verdict; the handheld uses its own operating environment and hardware configuration.
Because the game is not yet downloadable, owners cannot perform a normal Steam installation test through the store listing today. Any claim that it already works on Deck would go beyond the available evidence.

What to check after release
- Open the Cup of Tales store page in the Steam client or on the web and look for an updated Deck badge. The category may change after Valve evaluates a build.
- Read the compatibility details rather than relying only on a colored icon. Valve’s notes can identify small text, controller, launcher, or hardware-specific issues.
- Install only after confirming that the title is available in your region and that your Deck has enough free space for the download and future updates.
- On first launch, test the complete path: opening the game, navigating menus with the built-in controls, starting a new session, reading dialogue, mixing a drink, saving, and resuming.
- If the official status remains Unknown, treat your own result as a personal test of that version and configuration, not as a universal compatibility guarantee.
What is not yet known
The current listing does not provide recommended PC requirements, supported resolutions, graphics presets, frame-rate targets, controller details, language requirements, an installation-size range beyond the stated minimum, or a release date. It also does not publish independent review scores or benchmark data.
