There is no single typical fee to cash cryptocurrency out to a bank. Your total may include a charge or spread when you sell the crypto, a separate fee to withdraw the resulting cash, and—only if you send crypto to another address first—a blockchain network fee. The amounts depend on your exchange, country, currency, account eligibility, and bank-transfer method. Check the transaction preview before confirming.
First, identify which kind of withdrawal you mean
“Crypto withdrawal fee” can describe different transactions. Cashing out to a bank usually means selling crypto for fiat currency, then transferring that cash from an exchange to your bank. Sending crypto to an external wallet is an on-chain transfer, not a bank withdrawal, and may have its own network fee.

- Sell or convert: The exchange may charge a trading fee or include a spread in the conversion price. Coinbase says applicable charges appear in the trade preview and can depend on factors such as payment method, order size, market conditions, location, and asset. Coinbase explains its trading and conversion fees.
- Withdraw cash: The exchange or payment provider may charge for the bank transfer. The fee depends on the supported rail, such as ACH, wire, SWIFT, or RTP.
- Send crypto on-chain: A transfer to a wallet address may incur a network fee. Coinbase says it estimates this from anticipated network costs and shows it at transaction time; Binance notes that network conditions and the selected network affect the cost. This is not automatically a bank cash-out fee. Coinbase describes network fees and Binance explains crypto withdrawal fees.
For one platform- and asset-specific exception, Coinbase’s Global Exchange documentation says USDC withdrawals are free across supported networks because Coinbase covers network fees. That statement concerns USDC network withdrawals on supported networks; it does not establish the cost of selling crypto or withdrawing cash through every Coinbase product. See Coinbase’s Global Exchange fee information.

The figures below are examples from providers’ published schedules, not a market average or a guaranteed quote. Kraken says method and fee details depend on registration location, can change without notice, and may not always be current; its processing times are estimates. The cited Kraken page was last updated September 28, 2026. Binance.US says its fee levels can change; its U.S.-specific fee page was accessed October 7, 2026.

| Provider and scope | Bank method | Published withdrawal charge | Published processing estimate | Important detail |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kraken, USD, USA | ACH | Free | 0–2 business days | Availability may depend on location and account. Kraken lists its cash withdrawal options. |
| Kraken, USD, USA | FedWire (Customers Bank or Dart Bank) | $4 | 0–1 business days | Kraken lists a $20 minimum for these entries. Kraken’s schedule. |
| Kraken, USD | SWIFT (Bank Frick) | $14 | 1–5 business days | Listed as worldwide, with a $100 minimum. Availability still depends on eligibility. Kraken’s schedule. |
| Kraken, USD, USA | RTP | 1.50%, capped at $50 | Near-instant | Availability may be limited; Kraken lists a $20 minimum. Kraken’s schedule. |
| Binance.US | ACH bank transfer | Free | Not stated in the cited fee excerpt | U.S.-specific fee listing. Binance.US fee schedule. |
| Binance.US | Wire | $25, plus any fee charged by the bank | Not stated in the cited fee excerpt | U.S.-specific fee listing; check for fees from your bank as well. Binance.US fee schedule. |
These schedules do not establish which method is cheapest for every user. A fee-free option may not be available to your account, and a provider’s listed charge does not include every possible receiving-bank or intermediary fee.
How to calculate the cost of your cash-out
Compare the full transaction rather than a single “withdrawal fee.” A useful estimate separates each charge that applies:

- Check the sale or conversion preview. Note the amount of fiat you will receive and any stated trading or conversion charge. If the quoted price includes a spread, compare the displayed proceeds rather than assuming the headline fee is the whole cost.
- Choose an eligible bank method. Review the exchange’s fee, minimum, estimated processing time, and any location or account restrictions for that rail.
- Check charges outside the exchange. Your receiving bank or an intermediary may charge its own fee, particularly for wire transfers.
- Add an on-chain step only if you need one. If you must send crypto to another platform before selling, account for that network withdrawal separately from the later cash withdrawal.
- Review the final transaction preview. Confirm the displayed amount, fees, and destination before authorizing the transaction. Fees and available methods can change.
For example, suppose a U.S. customer sells crypto for USD on an exchange and withdraws the cash using one of the listed Kraken methods. The bank-withdrawal charge would be the schedule amount for the selected method—such as $4 for the specified FedWire entries—while any sale cost and bank-side fees remain separate. This is not a complete total without the customer’s sale preview and bank terms.

- Country and currency: An option listed for U.S. dollars may not be supported where you live or for another currency.
- Account eligibility: Providers may limit a method by location, verification status, account, or other conditions. A published option is not proof it is available to every customer.
- Minimums and holds: Check the minimum withdrawal and any account-specific hold before choosing a rail. The cited Kraken entries, for example, have different stated minimums.
- Processing estimates: A time such as “0–1 business days” is an estimate, not a delivery guarantee; bank holidays and provider processing can affect arrival.
- External bank charges: The receiving bank or an intermediary may add a fee beyond the exchange’s published charge.
- Schedule changes: Fee pages can be updated. Kraken explicitly cautions that its information can change without notice and may not always be current; consult the live schedule and account preview.
How to avoid comparing unlike fees
When checking two cash-out routes, compare the same crypto sale amount, country, fiat currency, and destination context. Record the conversion cost or spread, bank-withdrawal charge, any likely bank-side fee, processing estimate, minimum, and whether an intermediate on-chain transfer is needed. A lower transfer charge alone does not prove a route has the lower total cost.

- Seedless by design, nothing to steal: Your private key is generated inside the EAL6+ chip and never leaves it. No seed phrase is shown or typed at setup, so a tampered device, keylogger, or phishing site has nothing to capture. 9+ years, millions of card.
- Tap once to manage your entire crypto wallet across 90 blockchains - no USB cables or Bluetooth, no batteries, no setup. Access 16,100+ coins & tokens, DeFi, NFTs, and staking instantly from your phone
- Backup without a seed phrase: Your wallet is copied to 2 backup cards with end-to-end encryption, so there are no words on paper to lose or leak. Keep them in separate places; if one card is lost, the others restore full access. Optional seed phrase for advanced users.
- Engineered to last up to 25 years: Waterproof (IP69K), shockproof and tested for extreme temperatures from −25°C to 50°C. A durable cold wallet with long‑term protection and independently audited security.
- Trusted by 6 million users worldwide - buy, sell, swap, stake, and spend cryptocurrency directly. The secure offline storage wallet designed for how people actually use crypto wallets
There is no evidence in these provider schedules for a universal market-wide “typical” fee. Kraken’s and Binance.US’s figures are platform-specific U.S. dollar examples, while availability and costs elsewhere require checking the relevant provider and bank terms.
