When did Croc: Legend of the Gobbos come out?
The remaster’s release date depends on the storefront. Nintendo’s US Switch listing gives April 2, 2025, while Steam gives October 17, 2025. Argonaut Games describes the 2025 launch across consoles and PC in its 2026 update. These are storefront-specific dates, not a single universal launch date.

What platforms is Croc: Legend of the Gobbos on?
Argonaut says the remaster released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam and GOG. The Nintendo US listing also marks it as supported on Switch 2, with behavior consistent with Nintendo Switch.

For the PC release, GOG announced the planned Windows version on October 24, 2024, and said the purchase would include the original classic game. Argonaut’s FAQ likewise says Croc Classic comes with the GOG remaster. Store availability and terms can change, so check the relevant storefront for current details.

Does Croc: Legend of the Gobbos have cloud saves?
Cloud features are listed for Steam and Nintendo Switch, but the listings do not establish that saves sync between those ecosystems—or between any different platforms.
- Steam: the Steam listing includes Steam Cloud.
- Nintendo Switch: the Nintendo US listing includes Save Data Cloud, which Nintendo describes as a Nintendo Switch Online feature.
The official listings and Argonaut FAQ do not specify the game’s save slots, manual-save options, autosave frequency, checkpoint behavior, or whether progress can be transferred across platforms. A cloud feature listing alone does not answer those game-specific questions.

What does the Platinum Edition add, and how do you get it?
Argonaut’s FAQ lists 16 new trophies, Time Attack, more than 25 Crocipedia additions, music-mix selection, fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. The update is available for Steam, GOG, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox. According to the FAQ, purchased copies update automatically except on PlayStation: PlayStation owners need to download the Platinum Edition version from the PlayStation Store. It is free there for players who previously bought Croc on PS4 or PS5.
Some features vary by platform. PlayStation has a Platinum Trophy, while Switch uses in-game achievements. Check the game’s relevant store page for the version and features available on your platform.

What is included in the remaster?
Argonaut describes enhanced HD graphics, updated control mechanics and camera, and retro video modes. The game contains 45 levels across five worlds. Its Crocipedia is a digital museum of recovered development material, including concept and level designs, animation tests, design documents, rare promotional material, pre-release soundtrack mixes, and interviews with contributors. More than 25 additional Crocipedia items are listed among the Platinum Edition updates on Argonaut’s remaster page and FAQ.

Argonaut says the preorder with Rock It Games took place in 2024 and has closed. Its 2026 update reports that physical editions missed their intended shipping date because of delays and the decision to manufacture updated Platinum Edition discs and cartridges; it said the editions were expected to arrive, but gave no definite shipping date. Those statements do not confirm current retail stock or a new order window. Argonaut identifies Rock It Games as the physical production and distribution partner and directs order-status questions there.
