What you are building
The workflow has two parts: Laravel assembles a preview from product data and image assets, and Browsershot uses Puppeteer to control headless Chrome and render web content to an image or PDF. Browsershot accepts either a URL or HTML input, so you can capture a Laravel-rendered page or a self-contained HTML string.

A preview is useful for checking how the information and imagery appear together. Keep the product’s appearance faithful: decorative layouts, labels, or sample data should not make the item look different from what a buyer will receive.

Create a Blade view for the product card. Use the actual product data and image assets that you intend to review. For example, a route can load a product and pass it to a view:

</html>Replace the example property names with those used by your application. The image URL must be reachable by the browser process that renders the page. If the preview route requires authentication, ensure the rendering process can access it rather than assuming a local browser session will be shared.

Render and save the preview with Browsershot
Install Browsershot according to the package documentation for the version used by your application. Browsershot relies on Puppeteer-controlled headless Chrome; ensure those runtime components are available in the environment where the Laravel job or command runs.

->save($path);Name the route in Laravel if you use the route() helper as shown. Choose a viewport large enough for the card and its content. A fixed viewport captures the visible page area; use full-page capture when the content extends below it, or capture only the card when that is the intended output.
The Browsershot v4 image guide documents viewport sizing, full-page screenshots, device scale factors, output format and quality options, capture clipping or a selected element, and waiting for network idle. PNG is its documented default; JPEG can be configured with a quality option. Select an option based on whether you need crisp interface details, smaller photographic output, or a particular region of the page.

Choose the capture scope and output
| Choice | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Viewport capture | You want the portion of the page visible at the configured browser dimensions. |
| Full-page capture | The preview content extends beyond the viewport and you want the full page in one image. |
| Selected element or clipped region | You want only the product card or a defined area rather than the surrounding page. |
| PNG | You want the documented default image output, commonly useful for interface previews. |
| JPEG with quality configured | You want JPEG output and are willing to choose a quality setting appropriate to the image. |
| Higher device scale factor | You need a higher-density capture; account for the resulting larger pixel dimensions and file size. |
Do not assume that a screenshot’s pixel dimensions or file size meet Meesho’s current upload rules just because the browser viewport has a particular size. Check the requirements for the relevant product category before using an image in a catalog.
Wait for images, fonts, and other resources
A screenshot can be captured before asynchronous content has finished loading. Browsershot’s image guide documents waiting for network idle, which can help with lazy-loaded images or webfonts. If a page still captures too early, make the required content deterministic: ensure the image is available, avoid relying on delayed client-side changes, and wait for a meaningful page condition before capture where appropriate.

For stored product files, use URLs that the headless browser can retrieve. A file path on the Laravel server is not automatically a URL available to Chrome. If the template depends on external stylesheets or fonts, confirm they load from the rendering environment; for a compact preview, inline CSS can reduce dependencies.
Check Meesho guidance for the product category
Meesho’s reviewed guidance for shirt sellers calls for a clear front product image and says to upload JPEG without a logo or watermark; it also advises against partial-product and prop images. That guidance is specific to shirts. It does not establish a universal rule for every Meesho category, nor does it establish universal image dimensions or file-size limits. Check the current instructions for the actual category before preparing an upload.
A generated listing preview is for reviewing your layout and data. Do not present a composed preview as the authentic product image, and do not let design elements obscure or misrepresent the item.

Common problems and fixes
- Chrome or Puppeteer is unavailable: Browsershot depends on Puppeteer-controlled headless Chrome. Install and configure the runtime dependencies required by the Browsershot version in use, and run capture in the same environment that has access to them.
- The screenshot is blank or incomplete: Check that the URL returns the expected page in the rendering environment, that the route is accessible, and that image and stylesheet URLs resolve there. Wait for network idle or another appropriate page condition when resources load asynchronously.
- Images are missing: Verify that the image URL is valid and reachable by headless Chrome. A server-local storage path alone will not make a file available to the browser.
- The bottom of the preview is cut off: Increase the viewport or use full-page capture if the complete page is required. If only a card is needed, capture that element or region instead.
- The output is too large or unsuitable: Reconsider the capture scope, output format, and device scale factor. JPEG quality can be configured; PNG is the documented default.
- Fonts or layout differ from expectations: Check whether webfonts and external CSS have loaded before capture. Network-idle waiting can help, but verify the actual page state rather than relying on an assumed delay.
