Choose Costco Halloween treats by where they’ll be served: individually wrapped pieces are easier to hand out at the door, while large jars and multipacks give party hosts more serving options. Costco’s seasonal listings include both chocolate and non-chocolate choices, but stock, prices and selection can vary by location and change over time.
What works best for trick-or-treaters?
For handing out candy, compare the package count with the portion size you want to offer. Costco’s current trick-or-treater listings include small assorted pieces as well as full-size bars:

| Costco listing example | Package format | When it may fit |
|---|---|---|
| Hershey’s Nuggets Assortment Variety Pack | 145 pieces | A higher piece count for smaller individual portions. |
| Hershey’s Miniatures Variety Pack | 56 oz | An assorted chocolate option; the listing gives package weight rather than a piece count. |
| Snickers full-size bars | 48 bars | A lower-count option if you prefer to give out full-size bars. |
| Tootsie Pops | 100 pops | A lollipop choice for people who want a non-chocolate option. |
Costco’s seasonal page also lists a 30-count full-size M&M’s, Skittles and other candy bar variety pack. Package count is a planning aid, not a promise of how many visitors a pack will cover: the number of pieces handed to each child and the night’s traffic both matter.

For a party, decide whether you want a container guests can serve themselves from or individually portioned snacks that are easy to set out. Costco’s party listings include both formats:
#1 Best Overall
- Mixed Fruit Flavors: Includes assorted candy like sour, gummies, taffies, hard candies. Random Assortment Variety Pack
- Individually Wrapped Candy: Each piece is wrapped for freshness and easy sharing. The exact mix of candies may vary.
- Bulk Candy Assortment: 2 lb bag with a variety of candies to please any crowd
- Fun Halloween Candy: Great for parties, trick or treating, or Halloween decorations
- Made in the USA: Candy is proudly made in the United States
| Costco listing example | Package format | Serving consideration |
|---|---|---|
| M&M’s milk chocolate candy and M&M’s peanut candy | 62 oz jars | A bulk-container format that could work for a serving bowl or candy table. |
| Rice Krispies Treats | 60-count multipack | Separately portioned treats can be convenient to distribute. |
| York peppermint patties | 84 oz, 175-count pack | A high-count individually portioned candy option. |
| Kit Kat bars | 36-count pack | A wrapped bar option for a party table or individual servings. |
The format is the useful distinction: jars hold bulk candy, while multipacks provide separate portions. The listing alone does not establish how much guests will eat or whether a package is the right quantity for a particular party.
Which non-chocolate options are listed?
Costco’s non-chocolate Halloween category includes fruit snacks, gummies, lollipops, crackers, cookies and novelty candy. The seasonal page also lists 180-count Sour Punch Twists and Popcornopolis Halloween Monster caramel-corn mini cones in a 24-count pack. Those are examples from Costco’s category pages, not a guarantee that a particular warehouse or delivery area has them.

- Stress Free Party Prep; ready to pour and serve assortment; quick fill for goodie bags, pinatas, and treat bowls; ideal for busy hosts and classroom organizers
- Cleaner Sharing Anywhere; individually wrapped pieces for grab and go convenience; cleaner candy service for classrooms, offices, and events; easy handouts with less mess
- Fun Size Variety Everyone Reaches For; gummies, taffy chews, hard candies, and lollipops; mix of textures and flavors so more people find a favorite; keeps bowls and buffets interesting
- Approx. 100 Pieces In 2 Pounds; dependable coverage for parties and busy weeks; fewer refills for candy jars, reception bowls, and reward bins; simple to store between events
- Made For Holiday Moments; stocking stuffer filler, parade throws, trick or treat handouts, birthdays, and school celebrations; easy to set on dessert tables and favor stations; a simple win for any gathering
Offering both chocolate and non-chocolate treats can give guests and trick-or-treaters more choice. Select by format as well as flavor: wrapped pieces are straightforward to distribute, while larger packages may suit a party table where guests serve themselves.
How to plan quantities and check a listing
- Estimate the event’s needs. For trick-or-treaters, think about expected traffic and how many pieces you plan to give each visitor. For a party, consider guest count and whether candy is the main snack or one of several choices.
- Match package format to serving. Use listed piece counts to compare individually portioned options; consider jars when a bulk container suits your table. A package count is not necessarily the number of servings you will get.
- Check the live listing and local availability. Seasonal selection can vary by warehouse and delivery area. Costco’s seasonal page displayed Popcornopolis Halloween Monster caramel-corn mini cones, 24 count, at $29.99 after $10 off when surfaced; that time-sensitive price should be checked again before buying.
- Verify the exact product details. Read the current product page and package for ingredients and manufacturing information, especially when choosing treats for someone with an allergy or dietary restriction.
Allergy and ingredient checks
Do not assume a treat is allergy-safe based only on a category label or product name. Costco advises shoppers to inspect product descriptions for ingredient and manufacturing details. Check the exact package and the manufacturer’s current allergen information for the item you plan to serve or hand out; the category listing does not establish suitability for a specific allergy.
