The keyboard most likely behind this headline is CORSAIR’s GALLEON 100 SD, announced on January 6, 2026. Its reported price—$349.99, £309.99 or AU$599 in TechRadar’s 2026 review—buys more than a conventional full-size mechanical keyboard: the board integrates an Elgato-style Stream Deck control surface. That makes the price potentially sensible for a streamer or power user who will use the extra controls, but difficult to justify if you simply want a fast, well-built keyboard or already own a separate Stream Deck.
What the GALLEON 100 SD actually is
CORSAIR describes the GALLEON 100 SD as a full-size mechanical gaming keyboard with an integrated Stream Deck. The control section includes 12 LCD keys, two dials with push functions and a 5-inch full-color display. CORSAIR says these controls can launch commands, switch profiles and show information.

That layout changes the product’s purpose. It is not merely a premium keyboard with a screen; it is a keyboard and a programmable control surface sharing one chassis. The exact model identification is an inference from the headline, because the headline itself does not name a product.

Price: expensive compared with what?
TechRadar’s June 2026 review lists the GALLEON 100 SD at the following prices. These are the review’s listed prices, not a live check of current retailer offers, stock or regional taxes.

For a buyer comparing ordinary mechanical keyboards, this is a very high outlay. The relevant comparison is instead the total cost of a premium keyboard plus a separate programmable control deck. Whether the integrated design saves money depends on the prices of the alternatives in your region and whether you need both devices.
What you get for the premium
Built-in streaming and automation controls
The 12 LCD keys, dials and display can put scene changes, application launches, media controls or status information beside the typing keys. CORSAIR presents profile switching as part of the feature set, so the same physical controls can serve different applications or games.

Premium keyboard hardware
CORSAIR lists up to 8,000Hz polling, FlashTap SOCD handling, pre-lubed MLX Pulse switches, an aluminum frame, gasket mounting and six layers of sound dampening. These are manufacturer specifications and design claims, not independent laboratory results. A high polling-rate figure alone does not guarantee a visible advantage in every game or on every computer.
A full-size layout with a catch
The Stream Deck section occupies the area normally used by the numpad, according to TechRadar. A profile swap can provide numpad functionality, but that is not the same as having a permanently available, traditional full-size layout. Buyers who enter numbers frequently should check whether changing profiles is acceptable.

Streamers and creators who want one integrated desk device
If you routinely trigger scenes, mute microphones, control music, launch software or monitor information while playing, the built-in controls can replace the need to reach for a separate deck. Keeping typing and control functions in one unit may also reduce desk clutter.
Power users who will build multiple profiles
The value increases when the controls are used across several games or applications rather than left on a default profile. The display and LCD keys are most useful when they show different commands or status information for each workflow.

Existing Stream Deck owners and keyboard-only buyers
TechRadar says the premium is harder to justify for people who already own a Stream Deck. They would be paying again for overlapping controls while also accepting the GALLEON’s numpad-area compromise. If your priority is typing feel, acoustics, switch response or competitive-game input, a less expensive keyboard may deliver the features you notice most.

TechRadar reports configuring keyboard-side settings in CORSAIR Web Hub and configuring the Stream Deck functions in the desktop Stream Deck app. Older CORSAIR hardware may also bring iCUE into the setup. Your exact software needs can differ according to the other products connected to your computer.

- Use CORSAIR Web Hub for the keyboard’s settings and functions.
- Use the desktop Stream Deck application for the LCD keys, dials, profiles and display behavior.
- Add iCUE only if your existing CORSAIR equipment requires it.
- Plan for separate configuration work when a shortcut involves both keyboard behavior and Stream Deck actions.
This is manageable for enthusiasts, but it is not a single-app, plug-in-and-forget accessory. Check software compatibility and permissions on the computers where you intend to use the keyboard.

Do not confuse it with CORSAIR’s CLIPPER PRO MINI 60
CORSAIR announced the CLIPPER PRO MINI 60 at Computex on June 2, 2026. It is a different, compact 60% Hall Effect keyboard, not a direct replacement for the GALLEON’s integrated Stream Deck. CORSAIR lists Rapid Trigger, FlashTap SOCD, adjustable actuation from 0.2mm to 3.8mm and switches rated for 100 million keystrokes for the CLIPPER PRO MINI 60. Those figures do not describe the GALLEON 100 SD.
Verdict: pay for the controls, not just the keyboard
The GALLEON 100 SD makes sense when its Stream Deck functions are central to your setup and you prefer one integrated device. Its 12 keys, dials and screen provide a capability that a normal keyboard does not, and the construction and performance specifications are positioned at the premium end.
It is poor value as a straightforward keyboard purchase. Existing Stream Deck owners already have the main feature that explains the premium, while numpad users must accept a profile-based workaround. TechRadar’s review therefore treats the integrated Stream Deck as the main reason to consider the product—and the main reason to reject it if you will not use those controls.
