It’s a wireless, 36 g mouse built for competitive FPS play, with a solid shell rather than the cutout design common on ultralight models. What the $70 deal gets you
PC Gamer reported the Corsair Sabre V2 Pro at $70 on Amazon on October 5, 2026, a $30 reduction from its $99.99 MSRP. That is a 30% discount from MSRP, not a guarantee that the price will remain available through Prime Day. The listing’s eligible color variants were not verified. In a separate June 2026 deal, PC Gamer reported only the black model at $79.99, so do not assume both black and white are now discounted equally.

The mouse is Corsair’s 36 g wireless model with a full-bodied shell. That combination is the central appeal: it keeps weight low without the perforated housing many ultralight mice use. PC Gamer gave it a 92% review score in 2025 and continues to name it its best lightweight gaming mouse.

| Feature | Sabre V2 Pro |
|---|---|
| Weight | 36 g (Corsair / PC Gamer, 2025) |
| Sensor | Corsair Marksman S optical sensor |
| Maximum sensitivity | 33,000 DPI (PC Gamer, 2025) |
| Maximum acceleration | 50 G (PC Gamer, 2025) |
| Maximum polling rate | Up to 8,000 Hz (Corsair, per PC Gamer, 2025) |
| Battery life | About 70 hours at 1,000 Hz, or about 16 hours at 8,000 Hz (Tom’s Hardware, 2025) |
| Buttons and onboard profiles | Five buttons; one onboard profile |
| UK recommended retail price | £89.99 (KitGuru, 2025) |
The battery estimates are tied to different polling settings: the roughly 70-hour figure is at 1,000 Hz, while using 8,000 Hz cuts the estimate to about 16 hours, according to Tom’s Hardware. The headline polling rate therefore comes with a substantial battery-life trade-off.

Who should consider it—and who should pass
A strong fit for lightweight FPS play
At 36 g, the Sabre V2 Pro is aimed at players who want a mouse that is easy to move quickly during competitive FPS games. Its solid shell may also appeal if you want an ultralight mouse without exposed cutouts. PC Gamer’s 2025 review scored it 92%, and its October 2026 deal coverage still identifies it as the publication’s best lightweight gaming mouse.
Not for feature seekers
The design is deliberately spare: five buttons and one onboard profile, with no extra frills. Tom’s Hardware’s 2025 assessment flagged the possibility that the mouse is too light on features. If you need multiple onboard profiles or more controls, this is a poor match even at the sale price.

Consider the skate material
The mouse uses UPE (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) skates. They are more durable than PTFE skates, but they do not glide as easily, so the feel may not suit someone who prioritizes the slickest possible movement.
Is $70 a good price?
It is $30 below Corsair’s $99.99 MSRP and lower than PC Gamer’s reported $79.99 price for the black version in June 2026. That makes the current reported offer a notable reduction, but it is not evidence of an all-time-low price. Check the current Amazon price and the selected color before checkout; the deal report did not establish which variants qualify.
